The town of Wehlen is located in the Upper Elbe Valley in the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. The tranquil health resort looks back on almost 800 years of history. The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

The 7th stage of the *Malerweg* hiking trail passes directly by the house. This cozy and spacious holiday apartment (55 sq m) is located on the ground floor of a house (built in 1900) in the district of Pfaffendorf. Amenities include a dedicated parking space, a private guest terrace in the courtyard, and secure high-speed Wi-Fi.

The property is located in a quiet location in a local settlement on the southern Elbe slope. Right next to the house is the forest, where you can start your hikes. The train station is only 10 minutes away. From there you can reach Dresden in 45 minutes (every half hour) or and also to the further upper Elbe Valley. A supermarket is within walking distance in 15 minutes.
