Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Kyoto

We had a great stay at Kako’s place! Would definitely stay there again! It was close to the metro station and not very loud compared to other areas!

We enjoyed staying at this Airbnb very much. The house is in a very nice and family friendly location that can be easily reached with public transport. The place is very cosy and lovely and very well equipped with everything you need. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

Pro - Its a very good place. The kitchen cutlery is complete. The scenery is amazing. Clean and wifi is good. Definitely come again! Cons - bathroom only 1. So takes a lot of time. The view is great but the location is far from town. Need to travel 40mins just to reach town. So waste time there.

Great place and friendly host . They’ve provided free snacks and drinks. They’ve given us free car ride to the nearest station. Definitely would recommend this place for a peaceful stay.

This is my second private lodging. Six of my fathers traveled north from Kyoto and touched Ohama and stayed here.Arrival is at 17:30.When I told them I wanted to barbecue, they already prepared the set. When I tried to shop in Chari, he drove me to PLANT-2. If the six of you were grilled with meat, they prepared grilled rice balls and a kama that his son bought. For breakfast, rice cooked in an oven, fish and miso soup.It was excellent. In other words, you are an owner who looks like a lump of hospitality. The house is kept clean because the owner is controlled. Next time, I'm coming with my family.

We loved our stay here! This spot is literal steps away from Ninenzaka and the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, making it easy to visit when it was quieter. The food nearby was amazing as well, including ramen, desserts, and coffee; it is also easy to rent kimonos and buy souvenirs, as they are right outside. The house was quiet, small yet cozy, and well-accommodated. You can see the Yasaka Pagoda from the second floor!

This Airbnb was accommodating to us as a family of 5, it had all the necessities that we needed, was close to the train station & supermarket, it’s in a nice quiet area. 10/10 I would stay here again.

This is a great place for travellers on a budget, train station was within a 6 minute walk and supermarkets close enough. It can sleep up to 6 individuals, it would be a squeeze to put a couple in one bunk. Mattresses are thin also. Overall a really good place for what we paid!

Fantastic and very accessible location in buzzing area of Gion and the wider Kyoto region with great views of the river yet quiet and relaxing. Hosts are wonderfully proactive, providing everything you need pre, during and post our stay. We loved the place and the hosts were outstanding. I'm a repeat guest! That should say a lot. Place is conveniently located, has everything a single person needs for an extended stay. my favourite local activity was taking walks along the river and watching the trains.

Such a warm and lovely home in Kobe. We truly enjoyed the amazing view, the kids’ playroom, and the chance to cook and spend quality time with friends — it was a wonderful experience. Sincere suggestion: please consider improving the water heater. While cold showers might be tolerable in summer, the sudden changes in water temperature could be quite frustrating — especially during winter. Everything else was truly great.

Great location, very central to everything. Was perfect for what we needed for while we were there. A tiny bit smaller than what was expected but it was still a fantastic stay!

This time I went to Kansai with my friends, I stayed at Xiaodai's house for three nights, it was really great, elegant Japanese tatami villa, the interior decoration is also very beautiful, living inside is very welcoming, the villa is located in the wealthy area of Kyoto, the environment is very good, although it is not in the center of the city, the supporting facilities are very good, the subway and convenience store are within a short walking distance.And then, Sister Dai is really super nice!Very enthusiastic. He answered all kinds of questions on WeChat before checking in. He drove to Kyoto to pick us up at Yamashina Station on the day of arriving, and then gave us a detailed introduction of how to play in Kyoto. How to take a car, let us contact her on WeChat at any time when we encounter problems. The last night also took out a treasure of wine. It made me feel like a host, but a good friend who has been hosting me in Japan for many years.

We loved staying here! It had everything we needed and was peaceful and had beautiful surroundings. it was so convenient that it had a washing machine. There is even a delicious bakery next door! I recommend this location! Naomi was so kind and helpful.

The traditional garden view and the lovingly curated interiors make it feel like a living museum. The bathroom, featuring both indoor and outdoor hot springs, was a highlight, providing a luxurious bathing experience. In the evening, we enjoyed homemade aperitifs and Hokkaido octopus sashimi, followed by sukiyaki cooked in a vintage iron pot with local ingredients. Breakfast overlooking the garden was delightful, and we even spotted cherry blossoms nearby. The peaceful surroundings allowed us to fully relax and appreciate the beauty. For a truly luxurious experience, stay in this historic gem when you visit Kyoto!
