Cottage holiday rentals in La Tejita

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time staying here. The views are absolutely amazing, and the house is beautiful and rustic. The terrace is very spacious, and there is a little garden that attracts lots of little birds. The whole house is dreamy and surrounded by cute flowers and native plants. We loved using the log burner in the evenings, as it sometimes got quite chilly; this made it even more cosy and homely. Having a car is essential to stay here (and also to explore the rest of the island). There's a Lidl and Aldi nearby and plenty of great restaurants and beaches. Thank you so much for having us!

Our stay at Las Casas was fantastic. It is located a bit off the beaten path but once you arrive, it is spectacular. Incredible views of the mountains and ocean, beautiful restored buildings, peaceful, and well equipped for any kind of stay. The amenities - sauna, hot tub, pool, etc - made the place feel like a retreat/resort. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, vacation, I 100% recommend staying here. We were staying in Los Corrales which had a a full kitchen (no oven - but 4 stove burners. The communal kitchen has a coal burning oven). It had two large bedrooms and a very private terrace/patio with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. If you’re planning on eating there, I’d recommend getting all of your groceries on your way in because you are probably going to want to limit your trips up and down the mountain. Carmen was a very responsive host and had everything prepared for us when we arrived. Thank you for the stay Carmen and crew!

It was great to avoid the dense touristic areas and experience a different type of microclimate than the rest of the island. It was a bit cold inside in April, but there is an AC and a heater to compensate. The jacuzzi is a big highlight of this place.

The Villa was absolutely beautiful, a pleasure to return to after a day out and perfect for 5 adults and a 2 year old. The Villa was spotless and there was plenty of linen for a two week stay. There is everything you can wish for in the Villa. There is a lovely pool on site, cold water but refreshing on a warm day. The Villa is within easy reach of two Supermarkets and shops and a five minute walk to the regular Adeje Market. An 8 minute walk will bring you to the delightful beaches of Del Duque. The host is super responsive, all in all a great place to be.

Had a fantastic stay, place was perfect for a large group of us celebrating graduating university. The outside space was so gorgeous and there was more than enough room for us all even to sit 20 outside the dinner table in the outside area. Liliane was a great host and always helpful if need be whilst out there. Great value for money as well! Would recommend wholeheartedly

Julio is a very friendly host who is always available and gives a lot of information. The house is very nicely decorated. However, you are dependent on a car, as the path there is not within walking distance. You'll be rewarded with an impressive view.

We felt right at home, good location, quiet area with a very good nearby guachinche. You have many trails to do near the house. The house in general was perfect, very clean and tidy. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing and was in very good condition. Very clean sheets and towels and very comfortable beds. The only thing you have to park several meters from the house because just in front is usually a neighbor's car, but everything else is great. We only had a problem with the Oven that did not work because the leancas were skipping, but we already communicated it so they can fix it for upcoming stays. What we liked most is that it allowed us to stay on the last day until late because I had no reservations and that is all a detail from the host that very few do. Everything else is perfect. Thank you very much Aldo for your kindness, we will definitely repeat again. A hug.

A fantastic host who responded quickly to all questions. The Finca is stunning and there is plenty of space for families. The Finca was spotlessly clean throughout. The pool is incredible and was the highlight of our stay. You need a car due to location and check in procedure. Quiet, peaceful and remote. An amazing stay - thank you.

We really liked the peace and quiet of the finca overlooking the sea. The hosts were very kind, Ana was always available for any communication in English. Fresh eggs and bananas in the kitchen on arrival. Thank you for a nice week!

Four families stayed comfortably at Sarah's place. Communication was flawless. Located in seclusion but close to pretty much all excursions we looked for in Tenerife. Swimming pool was heated and clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Overall a lovely place to stay and highly recommended for families.

Beautiful place, secluded from everything, with wonderful views. The very rural and native houses that made us feel at home. All the amenities you need to spend a weekend with friends and have a great time.

Arriving at the house was easy. We loved the well tended garden and the colors in the house. It was very clean and taken care of. Our host was always friendly.

It was really something special in April! It is even more beautiful than in the photos and the huge property (former vineyard) is very well maintained and in a quiet location with great views from the mountains down to the sea. Spanish restaurants and a supermarket can be reached by car within a few minutes. Beautiful hiking trails are nearby. The house is equipped in the best possible way - everything was there. Even the fridge was stocked on arrival so that the first evening and morning were completely relaxed. Pool, basketball, soccer and even table tennis and table football in an extra room. There was even an extra grill house. It's just great and I recommend it! The host was super friendly and gave us the best possible support. Thank you very much for the great time!

We had a truly unforgettable stay in Los Silos an experience we’ll always cherish. The evenings spent enjoying dinner and drinks in the garden were magical, full of charm and warmth. I had a bit of trouble with the check-in process because I was swamped and forgot to send my details, but Jan was incredibly patient and kind, calling a few times to help me through it all with genuine care. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped everything from toasters and mixers to an oven and a wide range of seasonings. If you love to cook, you’ll feel right at home. We had a week in Esther's amazing apartment, where there was everything we needed. We very much enjoyed the tranquility and the lovely lushness of the north coast far from the mass tourism on the south coast. The apartment is small, but it is fully compensated by the lovely terrace area overlooking the water - with outdoor furniture, barbecue, sun loungers and great atmosphere with palm trees and hammock. We'd love to come again.

It was a great experience. We were four grown ups and one infant and had space for everyone including a bed and much equipment for the little one. The surroundings is amazing and the garden is great, comfortable and spacious. We really loved it there. Alvaro was always responsive and helped with any problem or wish for help immediately. if you want some quite and prefer to stay away from the touristic areas, this is the house for you! thanks!

What an exceptionally beautiful location. The most beautiful Panorama views over the Teno Mountains, the gorge in the distance, the sea, and all this from the terrace. The route to the apartment was clearly indicated, narrow path to the parking lot, but easy to reach. Reception and explanation from Pedro was friendly and welcoming, very nice. Very clean and maintained. Indeed, it's useful that you do some shopping. There are some restaurants open during the day with a simple menu. During the day there are many tourists, after 5 p.m. they left and reverses the tranquility, which is so characteristic of the village. Outside the Mascakloof walk, there are also beautiful walks outside the village. Ask the tourist agency for e.g. RondWalk TF 56 to TF 51 and finish the circle with TF 59. Alternating scenery with beautiful views. The only minute are the hard mattresses, but that seems to be everywhere in Spain. In short, we really hope to go back again and then for a longer period of time.
