Kyoto Machiya Rental "Takasegawa Shichijo" is a fully renovated 115-year-old Kyoto Machiya. The Kyoto Machiya, which forms the beautiful scenery of Kyoto, has been remodeled into a building with high airtightness and thermal insulation performance so that you can spend comfortably in the hot and humid summers and cold winters unique to Kyoto, while retaining the structure of the time. From the Japanese-style room on the first floor, you can see the "roji" (the garden leading to the tea room) and the image of the tsubo garden. In addition, we have prepared a sofa in the hallway so that you can relax and enjoy the view of the tsubo garden. In the evening, you can spend a relaxing time while looking at the illuminated tsubo garden. There are two bedrooms on the second floor, one with two single beds and one with a double bed. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
