Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Lake Biwa

House is spotless and very comfortable for 6 people. It’s very near a family mart 150m away and it’s very convenient to a subway station as well (within 5 min walk). If you are driving the roads are a little narrow so do be careful on that. House is great and very very comfortable for all of us. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at Kako’s place! Would definitely stay there again! It was close to the metro station and not very loud compared to other areas!

Really great place for exploring Kyoto and relaxing afterwards! The host is absolutely fantastic, always ready to assist with whatever issues you might have. The space itself is quite modern as well, with a few details that are quite uncommon but make the place that much better for it. Safe to say it is one of my favourites so far.

Great place and friendly host . They’ve provided free snacks and drinks. They’ve given us free car ride to the nearest station. Definitely would recommend this place for a peaceful stay.

We stayed with multiple families, including children, but everyone had a satisfactory experience. There were multiple rooms, and there was a hammock and swing in the house, each of which I spent in my favorite place. The waterways on the property were also inviting.

This is my second private lodging. Six of my fathers traveled north from Kyoto and touched Ohama and stayed here.Arrival is at 17:30.When I told them I wanted to barbecue, they already prepared the set. When I tried to shop in Chari, he drove me to PLANT-2. If the six of you were grilled with meat, they prepared grilled rice balls and a kama that his son bought. For breakfast, rice cooked in an oven, fish and miso soup.It was excellent. In other words, you are an owner who looks like a lump of hospitality. The house is kept clean because the owner is controlled. Next time, I'm coming with my family.

Fantastic and very accessible location in buzzing area of Gion and the wider Kyoto region with great views of the river yet quiet and relaxing. Hosts are wonderfully proactive, providing everything you need pre, during and post our stay. We loved the place and the hosts were outstanding. Great location, very central to everything. Was perfect for what we needed for while we were there. A tiny bit smaller than what was expected but it was still a fantastic stay!

This was our fifth visit to Kyoto and this was my most favorite accommodation. While this is a small studio apartment so many things stood out to make this such a spectacular stay. Sandwiched between the canal and the Kamo river, you can enjoy views of the river at dawn or sunset or step out to tree lined canals. The apartment is well appointed with everything you’d need for a short stay, from cooking yourself a simple meal to doing laundry. I enjoyed being able to step out quickly to explore, shop, or grab a bite experiencing the energy and noise of the city, but be able to quickly dip back into the quiet and peace of the neighborhood and apartment. Finally, Ken was such a responsive and kind host. I’d love to come back.

This time I went to Kansai with my friends, I stayed at Xiaodai's house for three nights, it was really great, elegant Japanese tatami villa, the interior decoration is also very beautiful, living inside is very welcoming, the villa is located in the wealthy area of Kyoto, the environment is very good, although it is not in the center of the city, the supporting facilities are very good, the subway and convenience store are within a short walking distance.And then, Sister Dai is really super nice!Very enthusiastic. He answered all kinds of questions on WeChat before checking in. He drove to Kyoto to pick us up at Yamashina Station on the day of arriving, and then gave us a detailed introduction of how to play in Kyoto. How to take a car, let us contact her on WeChat at any time when we encounter problems. The last night also took out a treasure of wine. It made me feel like a host, but a good friend who has been hosting me in Japan for many years.

We loved staying here! It had everything we needed and was peaceful and had beautiful surroundings. it was so convenient that it had a washing machine. There is even a delicious bakery next door! I recommend this location! Naomi was so kind and helpful.

Built during the Showa era, the house has survived significant historical events. Taru and Tina warmly welcomed us and shared fascinating stories about the home. The traditional garden view and the lovingly curated interiors make it feel like a living museum. The bathroom, featuring both indoor and outdoor hot springs, was a highlight, providing a luxurious bathing experience. In the evening, we enjoyed homemade aperitifs and Hokkaido octopus sashimi, followed by sukiyaki cooked in a vintage iron pot with local ingredients. Breakfast overlooking the garden was delightful, and we even spotted cherry blossoms nearby. The peaceful surroundings allowed us to fully relax and appreciate the beauty. For a truly luxurious experience, stay in this historic gem when you visit Kyoto!

Chiho was a very gracious host and her house is beautiful. It was also very well stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely return!
