Cabin holiday rentals in Lake Simcoe

As it was newly renovated, the Aux Box delivered more than expected. Check-in was easy, and despite the rainy weather we had a relaxing time cozying up by the fire and enjoying the ambiance. The new additions like the sink and shower made the *glamping* experience even more convenient. Garth and Rebecca made sure to put thought into every detail really making our weekend getaway feel like a 5 star experience. Thanks again to Garth for answering a 3am phone call and helping when the smoke detector went off unexpectedly. Would definitely visit again!

It was another enjoyable stay. This is our second time staying at Micheal’s listing here in Norland. The scenery is beautiful and we enjoyed all the amenities. Thanks again for the relaxing getaway :)

A beautiful place, with everything you need for a private romantic retreat, my girlfriend and I also enjoyed bringing our dogs along. I’d say if one thing could be changed I have a preference for a firmer bed.

We loved our mini getaway! We had everything we needed and more! Sleeping was a dream. Comfy bed (and cozy couch!) Chilled by the fire…. Wandered the road…. Peaceful vibes. Perfect spot to relax and unwind. Loved being steps away from the lake, hot tub, and sauna. Only an 8 minute drive to Lakefield, and about 20 minutes to the Curve Lake First Nations reserve. Hosts recommended a nice farm-to-table spot that we really enjoyed (The Cheeky Duck). The Nook was just what we needed and I happily recommend it to anyone looking to disconnect and kick back for a little while!

We loved our stay at RuthAnn and Norman's cabin! It was exactly what we needed to relax and get away from the craziness of Toronto. Everything was clean and well-organized. Norman is a fantastic host – so helpful and friendly, giving us a great tour and awesome local tips.

very nice place to getaway and relax! Just what we needed to relax and enjoy with the family! the lake is beautiful, we really enjoyed the canoeing and kayaks. even the big yard and the view are awesome. only one thing, the sofa bed was not very comfy to sleep. but, everything else was perfect to enjoy. thanks Ash/Nic for being a good host and friendly ppl.

Me and my Boyfriend had a lovely time at Mike and Rosa's cabin! It was an amazing experience as they even left us little personalised gifts for our anniversary. The cabin is beautiful and the lake is even prettier! We saw a beaver, loon and herons on the lake and enjoyed their beautiful waterfront firepit.

We had a great stay at Lisa's place. Our family spent a lot of time on the water exploring the lake in the available canoe and kayaks and really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub in the evenings. The outdoor space is setup perfectly for living outside on those sunny days and inside the cabin is cozy and has all the amenities you need if the weather isn't great.

Staying at Milena and Johnny's was nothing short of a fully authentic experience. Not just because of their beautiful and unique property, or the surrounding nature, but because of Milena and Johnny themselves. As soon as you step foot on their land, you can instantly feel the love and care they put into receiving their guests. If you let it, everything here feels like one big warm embrace. I truly feel that Milena and Johnny prioritize making your experience special—not because they go out of their way, but because it comes naturally to them. In a single trip, I was fortunate to experience the full spectrum of feeling alive and deeply connected—to everything around me and within myself. Our getaway was delightful! Every moment felt special, from long dog walks through the property to relaxing in the cozy, beautifully designed cabin. The outdoor seating area was the perfect spot to unwind, and taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pond after our bike race made the experience even more memorable. Thank you, Rushad:)

This was the best way to experience the beauty of Ontario. The rusty cabin is clean and warm, with many old records and fascinating books when it gets dark, and well maintained kayaks for daytime. Bill is an amazing guy, holding some of the history and knowledge of the place in his heart and he is so willing to share it with the others. Book this place to get a sweet taste of Algonquin and Little Hawk lake.

Leah was an excellent host! The A-frame cabin was exactly as described and pictured. When we encountered an unexpected cold snap during our stay with our cats, Leah was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to help us out. Her quick communication and willingness to accommodate made all the difference. The cabin itself is charming and we'd definitely consider staying again. Highly recommend Leah as a host - she truly cares about her guests' comfort and experience.

I had an amazing experience with Michelle! She accommodated a few date changes due to other personal commitments without hesitation. She was very responsive and checked in with me to ensure we were doing well. My family and I really enjoyed the cozy cabin - absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and had literally everything! We LOVE that it was pet friendly, my fur babies absolutely enjoyed it and loved the outdoors. Would definitely book again.

This was our second stay at Maple Lane Log Cabin and it definitely won’t be our last! We visited in the winter the first time we stayed so it was amazing to see how different and green the yard looked in the late spring. It was so peaceful to sit out on the deck listening to the water and the birds. As always, the cabin was spotless and so comfortable. We appreciated the extra blankets, the incredibly comfortable beds, and so many other thoughtful extras.

Kerri’s place is not one to miss. As soon as you step out of your car you will be surrounded by nature and the tranquil sounds of the creek. There’s lots of hiking trails near by plus a ton of cidery/wineries/brew houses. If you get good or bad weather there’s something to do! Place was stocked with everything you could need and all the instructions for the jet tub and sauna. Kerri was an amazing host who made the time we spent at her place easy and fun with recommendations and small personalizations. A beautifully maintained and run place to get away for the weekend. Highly recommend!

It far surpassed our expectations! We loved everything about it! Felt exactly like a private resort. Definitely coming back!

We enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s. Unfortunately we had a family funeral unexpectedly and could not arrive on Friday as planned. We arrived the Saturday evening instead but Jennifer offered a late check out for us since we had lost some time. Accommodation is pleasant and clean. Bed was comfortable and you can tell that Jennifer and her husband take great pride in the property Beautiful surroundings and a great view of the lake. Orr lake is very shallow and has a beach area it would be great if travelling with kids. We were disappointed that the water was too shallow for fishing from the dock but it was a chilly weekend so we spent time in nearby Midland. St Marie Among the Hurons was a great way to spend a cold afternoon. Found a great English pub in Victoria Harbour.

I can’t say enough about how amazing our experience was at Matthew’s cabin. It really is as amazing as the pictures portray, with some of the nicest furnishings you’ll find at a cottage. Matthew was also a great host, who communicated very well and has great attention to detail. Hot tub was just a nice added bonus! I hope to be back again soon!

Irina was a wonderful and very helpful host. She helped us find the place and all the other things in the cottage were really nice.

We had a wonderful stay at Bala Vida. The cabin was cozy, neat & well kept with its modern touches. Located a few minutes walk from the lake, it offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. Sauna was a nice touch as well. Patrick was responsive & helped us during our stay when we needed support. Would love to go back again during winter as well.

Beautiful space. So serene. Can’t wait to visit again. Also the hosts were so attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you need a break from the city this is it!
