Our gite is a charming stone house tastefully restored with the traditional French Style, in the heart of the countyside, surrounded by woods and field of the Natural Park of Périgord Limousin (30 km from Brantome). This location is perfect for nature lovers : walks, biking, canoeing on the Dronne, swimming in lakes (Saint Estephe, Saint Mathieu ...) river fishing and autumn harvest ceps. We will also give you some information as days of local market and places to visit because there are an abundance of medieval and renaissance villages and hamlets to explore within the region. We are very fortunate to be within a few minutes of Les Lacs des Haute Charente. Lac de Lavaud has two beaches, is a swimming lake, it has a children's play area, nautical centre (hiring paddle boards, etc), bars and restaurants.
