The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

Gute Ausgangsbasis für Wanderungen, Radtouren, ebenso für Besuche von Burgen und Schlössern sowie Sehenswürdigkeiten. In ca. 500 m befindet sich die S-Bahnstation "Stadt Wehlen".

Das Besondere daran, eine Giebelwand ist komplett verglast und ermöglicht auch vom Hochbett den Blick ins Grüne. Das Häuschen ist nur mit einem Ölradiator beheizbar und daher nur in den wärmeren Jahreszeiten buchbar!
