Ord’s Loft - Old Town Historic Apartment

KatherineRating, 5 stars2 days ago
This special place surpassed all our expectations. The attention to detail and care in every aspect, from the little jars of shortbread to the amazing roof beams, is simply incredible. Everywhere you look, there's something interesting, clever, or beautiful. The location is perfect for a city break; it's an easy walk from the train station, with many attractions on your doorstep. You can even see Holyrood Park and its dramatic crags from the apartment. Once inside, you're completely cocooned from the world. We found ourselves structuring our days to maximize our time there. It truly elevated our stay, making it an unforgettable experience.

Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

BcsRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Cozy little place. The interior was nicely decorated and the stone walls kept the place just right. It's a bit off the beaten path, but the instructions were easily to follow and the place was very secluded and quiet. It is right next to the airport and in the landing flight path, but we never heard much of anything.

Lots to do here at ‘Beach Daze’

KevinRating, 5 stars5 days ago
June was a perfect host , was there if we wanted her and was very helpful. She met us outside on arrival and gave us the keys to the property. The house was very homely and spacious for 2 people and very well equipped. Would highly recommend It is well located with the beach about 100 yards away at the bottom of the street with easy access into the town and the harbour-side. Everything you need is close by with small coop supermarket , bakery and coffee shop within 200 yards.

The Wedale Bothy, private cottage in the Borders

JosefRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Perfect spot as "base camp" for round-trips to the Abbeys of Melrose, Dryburgh, Kelso and Jedbury or the romantic little villages near the river tweed. The Boothy was a calm place to come back after a long sightseeing program to regenerate. Good shower and a good comfortable bed to put your head at rest to start a new trip the next day. I enjoyed staying at Len's place.

Twin Law Cottage: A cosy, rural 2 bedroom getaway

JohnRating, 5 stars4 days ago
The cottage is comfortable, well set up and Emma is a great host - friendly and very responsive to any issues which came up. The cottage is very clean and tidy without being sterile. It has a homely feel. The enclosed garden area is ideal for the dog and for small children to play safely. It is a good base from which to explore the borders. The cottage is out in the country so everywhere is a drive. There are no local shops, for instance so planning is important! The only slight drawback is that the WiFi is shared with another property and keeps dropping out. Not a major inconvenience but it meant that we had to log on to an insecure network virtually every time we wanted to use the internet. The TV buffers for the same reason. Otherwise this is highly recommended for two people and a dog ( which was us) or a couple with children and we very much enjoyed our stay.
