Find comfort in this gorgeous home featuring a lovely backyard pool, both white-water ocean and mountain views, a private entrance, and a luxurious en suite. Walk to Salt Creek Beach or Strands Beach on beautiful walking trails, (never cross a road), use the backyard swimming pool, enjoy full use of the kitchen, living areas, patio, free WiFi, 2 fireplaces, outdoor grill and free driveway parking . The home is within the guard gated community of Monarch Beach. The bedroom is equipped with a comfy queen sized bed, down pillows, flat panel LCD TV connected to a free Netflix-like library of over 2,000 movies & TV shows, full sized private bathroom and a private entrance. We provide beach chairs, beach towels, coffee, a blow dryer, and many more amenities so you can save room in your luggage. Area attractions include a funicular to the beach, Dana Point Harbor, shops and gourmet restaurants. Laguna Beach with all it's art galleries and tourists is just up the road. You'll also be surrounded by spas, boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, golf and many other amenities just minutes away. Located in South Orange County, a 1 hour drive between San Diego and Los Angeles. Disneyland is just 40 minutes away. Our beaches are rated among the top beaches in the USA! Just to be clear, you are renting a single guest room and private bath within our home and your very quiet hosts will be living here during your stay. We will allow you total privacy or we can be available to provide directions or answer any questions. In addition to the guest room, which accommodates two in a very comfortable queen sized bed, you'll have full accesses to the kitchen, living areas, outdoor patio and pool, etc. If you are traveling with a single child who could share your room, we can set up a portable crib or bring in a comfortable twin sized bed for a small extra fee. (Note: the AirBNB notation that this room accommodates 3 indicates 2 adults and 1 small child who will share your room. Please be aware; with the twin bed set up, floor space in the room is a bit tight.) We hope you'll choose our place for your beach area get-away. Once a sleepy surf town, Dana Point now sports a bustling harbor, locally owned restaurants, and more than 30 specialty shops. Walk along paths lined with palm trees and succulents overlooking the water, and spot fishermen hauling in the day's catch. Located in South Orange County, our home is a 25 minute drive from Orange County Airport (SNA), 1 hour from LAX, and 1.5 hours from San Diego Airport (SAN). Safe free parking on our driveway. Public Transit: A 10 minute walk takes you to Laguna Beach and back along Coast Highway. Board the Red Route bus at the Ritz Carlton with exact change ($.75 for adults and $.30 for seniors over 65) and enjoy a tour of the commercial areas along Coast Highway and gorgeous Laguna Beach beaches. A Detailed Guest Review: My fiance and I stayed at the this home in Dana Point in July. We drove down to Dana Point from Northern California in order to attend a wedding of good friends at the nearby Monarch Beach Resort. If you are not willing to pay hefty hotel weekend rates common for the region, this private room rental is exactly what you are looking for. The Hosts C & H are the perfect examples of great Airbnb hosts. The kind, welcoming couple turned our trip to Dana Point into a very pleasant stay of which we will have the best memories for a long time to come. A day before our arrival, H reached out to us by text, confirmed our stay once more and asked us about the approximate time of our arrival in order to be on location once we’d reach Dana Point by car. Right after we rang the doorbell, C & H, appeared at the front door and welcomed us to their home. We immediately were able to connect with our hosts and had great talks about our lives: As it turned out, C’s roots go back to Bern, Switzerland, very close where my fiance and I currently are living. It’s a small world, after all. During the whole stay, both C & H were not intrusive at all and granted us our privacy. They, nevertheless, were readily available in case we had special needs and questions. For example, they let us use their refrigerator to store cheese bought at the local farmer’s market. We also were offered to use the laundry and dryer without hesitation. The Property The home is located within one of the many gated communities in Dana Point, easily accessible from major Dana Point roads through two gates with guards on duty. On our first entrance, the guard - already instructed by the hosts - handed us a pass for the whole weekend. On consecutive entries, we just presented the printout and then were let into the neighborhood. The home is located near the entrance gate, at the end of a cul-de-sac and thus the surroundings are very quiet with no traffic at all. During our stay, we were allowed to park our rental car right in front of the house. C & H showed us the separate access to our private room, which leads along the pool all the way around the house. This separate entrance allowed us not to bother the hosts when we came and went. The big terrace is protected from wind and noise by a glass fence which provides a breathtaking view of Dana Point, the sea and sunsets. We didn’t use the pool or the beach chairs, but we assume it’s great to relax at the side of your own private pool with this great view. Inside the private room, the bed is big and comfortably fits two people. Plenty of closet space is provided to stow away luggage and clothes. The bathroom is equipped one toilet, two sinks and a bathtub/shower. Water pressure from the shower-head was great, and also warm water was readily available. Plenty of fresh towels had been piled up for the two of us. Free WiFi is provided, as well as a TV with some 2000 streaming movies and TV shows provided free of charge. You get keys for both the home as well as the door for a pathway which leads you to the beach within a few minutes of walking. The hosts also have prepared a map to show you where exactly the path leads you and which turns you have to take. Within the home you'll find H’s signature decor. Her decoration style and the attention to detail makes you immediately feel at home. And we've rarely been at a cleaner home than this one. Flawless! Shabby Chic Malibu On the Water- Sun Deck and Lounge

Slide open oversized folding glass doors and let the fresh sea air pour in. This vintage Malibu Beach house is inches from the water, with private beach access and Dolphins, Sea Lions and Seagulls as your daily entertainment. Fall asleep on a deck lounger to the soothing sounds of the ocean waves reaching the shore. Sleeps 4 with a King bedroom and a second Queen bedroom. A full sized kitchen, bathroom and cozy interior lounge room compliment the expansive all hardwood Ocean Front Deck putting you directly in the gorgeous Pacific Blue Ocean for your Classic Malibu Getaway. Ocean Front Beach home on a private beach in Malibu California. A two story duplex, private home and yard on the ocean. Only the upstairs unit is for rent and is completely separate from the lower unit. This upstairs unit has an oversized deck with comfortable lounge and dining furniture, accompanied by the amazing view of the ocean. On the ocean level is a communal pathway which leads to a private beach with no public access. This gives you private beach walks as well as private surf in your backyard. There is an outdoor hot water shower, BBQ and the full use of kayaks, paddle boards and surfboards come with the rental. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd Guest Bedroom has a queen bed. There is a single mattress under the queen bed for kids or an extra guest. In the bathroom is a shower/bath, with laundry facilities included. The home has heating for the winter evenings and new over-sized window/door opening to the deck to let in that ocean breeze on those warm summer days. Also, the kitchen is completely furnished with all stainless steel appliances and dishwasher. The home is situated 15 minutes away from Santa Monica and 3rd Street Promenade. Only 20 minutes from Venice Beach. A short walk down the street leads you to the ocean front Hawaiian restaurant/bar Dukes, with a 5 minute drive to the town of Malibu there are more restaurants, retail and grocery stores. The world famous 'Surfrider' beach is only 5 minutes away, as well as the Malibu Pier. Endless beautiful canyon drives and hikes are minutes away up Las Flores Scenic Canyon. Private surf and stand-up paddle board lessons for all ages are available out of this beautiful Malibu Ocean Front home as well as private massage and yoga on your ocean front deck. Send me a text and me or my property manager will respond promptly. The beach house is a short drive to Surfrider Beach and Malibu Pier, with restaurants and even more stunning views. A five-minute drive to downtown Malibu. Endless beautiful canyon drives and hikes are in nearby Las Flores Scenic Canyon. I have a strict no party policy. This is due to previous experience and would prefer to remain safe and not sorry. Any guests on the premises, beyond the agreed upon amount, will be an extra $150 per person, per calendar day/night, unless there is prior consent with the owner. Small events/gatherings are permitted ONLY when agreed upon prior to booking and is appropriately documented within the Airbnb rental agreement. Please call for more information. Pets are also not allowed without prior consent and documentation to arrival.

Room in Hillside Home with Skyline Views

Guest room in my Hollywood Hills home. Private bathroom, flat screen TV, California King bed (my friends call it the W Hotel Suite). Contemporary house....the architect also designed Jackie Collins' house in Beverly Hills. My house is located in the heart of the Hollywood Hills, just five minutes from the world famous Sunset Strip, 10 minutes from shopping on Rodeo Drive, 15 minutes from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Dolby Theater (Academy Awards), and 20 minutes from Universal Studios. With reasonable traffic, it is about 40 minutes to LAX. There are many good bars and restaurants and shopping in the Sunset Plaza area of Sunset Blvd (5 minutes away). Parking is easy on the street at my house. On a clear day, the view from my house reaches across the city and all the way to the Pacific Ocean. NOTE..I DO NOT INCLUDE BREAKFAST IN THE LISTING. THERE ARE GREAT RESTAURANTS NEARBY OPEN 24 HRS. BECAUSE OF SOME DAMAGE FROM GUESTS IN THE KITCHEN I ASK THAT THE KITCHEN NOT BE USED. THE GRAND PIANO IN THE LIVING ROOM IS ALSO NOT AVAILABLE FOR GUEST USE. ALSO...I HAVE TWO GUEST ROOMS LISTED ON AIRBNB SO THERE MAY BE OTHER GUESTS IN THE HOUSE AT THE SAME TIME. PLEASE ASK IF THAT IS AN ISSUE FOR YOU. Guests must be able to arrive before 10PM or the reservation request may not be accepted. The laundry room is available for use by guests staying 5 nights or more.... not before 8AM and not after 8 PM Lost key fee is $50 that will be requested from security deposit. Starting August 1, 2016, Airbnb will be adding 14% occupancy tax to the fee charged and will submit it to the City of Los Angeles. If your arrival at LAX is 9PM or later, it means you will not likely arrive at my house until 12AM after getting luggage, rental car, etc. I may ask for your arrival time and if you are unable to be at the house by 10PM or so I may not accept the reservation request. (I have had guests show up at 3AM) This guest room is on the lower level of the house and does not have direct terrace access, etc. like the other listing. (no view) The guest room is suitable for one or two persons only...not 3 or more. In the guest room there is a book, I call it the 'green book' in which you will find local restaurant ideas, transportation, etc etc that is relevant to your stay at my house. Most guests find it helpful. My residence is on famous Hollywood Blvd, but not the commercial part of the street that everyone knows. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, high in the hills but still just minutes from the Sunset Strip. Breakfast is not included. The picture on the home page is my living room...that is not the guest room. Check pictures section for guest room pictures. Public transportation is not terribly convenient from my house. You really need a car to get around at your convenience in the Los Angeles area. Uber and Lyft are also both easily available, and very affordable as an option. When you arrive, please make sure you are at the correct address. The house number 8824 is on the front of the house above the garage door. (I have had guests go to the neighbor's house). Please send a text message when you arrive.

This bright one bedroom beach pad with peek-a-boo beach view is ideal for a couple but can sleep up to 4 with the use of air beds, although 4 adults will find it tight. The private deck has a gas BBQ, comfy swivel rockers, two chaise lounge chairs and a fire pit. Your shared garage has bikes, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards and lots of beach toys.
