Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Mälaren

We loved our stay at Mariana and Jonas’s peaceful farm just 15 minutes from the Stockholm airport—perfect for our family of five before our flight. Jonas was a wonderful host, showing us the horses, chickens, and even a runestone! Fresh eggs were a lovely touch. He also recommended a great lakeside restaurant in an old factory. A sunny, memorable end to our trip—highly recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing stay at Susanna and Krister's listing. The decor was welcoming and beautifully curated. The outdoor spaces were little slices of heaven we were eager to enjoy. Susanna and Krister were lovely and attentive hosts and we would love to stay here again!

We stayed at Sara‘s place for a couple of nights and enjoyed our time there a lot. The house (and especially the kitchen) is well-equipped and the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. There is a canoe that can be carried to the lake, the bikes are a bit rusty, the sauna works well and without problems. Thank you Sara for our time here!

Staying at this lakeside house by Kroksjön was an exceptional experience. The cleanliness was impeccable everything was spotless and thoughtfully arranged. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. The fireplaces were a highlight. Both the traditional wood-burning and modern styles created a warm, cozy atmosphere in the evenings a perfect way to unwind in the middle of nature. The private hot tub overlooking the lake was absolutely amazing. Soaking in the warm water while surrounded by peaceful nature was incredibly relaxing and added a special touch to the whole experience. The house is surrounded by pure nature, peaceful, serene, and filled with the calming sound of birdsong. Wallbox charger for our electric car was a major convenience. Highly recommended.

Perfect summer house to escape city life! Highly recommended for those seeking a slow, relaxing lifestyle. The hosts, Jack and Maria, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their small dog adds even more charm. They were generous and helpful—solving issues like extra mattresses, showing us how to use the sauna, offering fresh vegetables from their garden, and even helping when we had trouble getting back to the cabin. The location is convenient: you can take a bus to Orminge Centrum (with Systembolaget, Willy’s, etc.), and the SL ferry is just 700m away, taking you to Slussen or Vaxholm. The lake is only a 5-minute walk away. Best for people who want to enjoy cabin life and take it slow.🥰 My mistake: I had my family stay here but planned daily trips to Stockholm, which made them tired. Also, with lots of luggage, Bolt rides were costly and hard to book. It’s not that close to the city—either take 3 buses (~1 hr) or walk 700m to the ferry (~1 hr total), with limited schedules.

The cottage is a charming, old fisherman's house with loving details, a modernized bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere in the evening. The property is beautifully landscaped and offers a great view of the lake. Children can let off steam at the football goal and on the large trampoline, while the rowing boat invites you to a lap around the lake. The hostess's parents, who live nearby, are very nice and welcomed us warmly. The railway tracks behind the house probably only disturb if you have a very restless sleep, it didn't bother us. We enjoyed the time here very much and can recommend the accommodation.

It was a great place for 3 of us. We were able to walk or take public transportation to most places.

We felt very welcomed by Ulla and Eamonn. It felt very homely and cozy and everything needed was there. Was there anything we would just knock and ask, it was never a problem. It was clean and fresh, luxurious with made beds. Good with parking in the yard. Close to both the pulse of the city and the historic mine. We would be glad to come back!

A beautiful apartment, spacious and in the perfect location to tour Stockholm

We had a wonderful stay at Anna’s house. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The place is incredibly peaceful, perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. The surrounding area is stunning, with beautiful walks through the forest just around the corner. The house itself is spotless, minimalist, and thoughtfully arranged. Everything was exactly as described. Anna, the host, is truly a ray of sunshine; kind, welcoming, and always helpful. We already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommended!

Magnus was an excellent communicator and his place was as described. The location was great and we walked everywhere because the weather was beautiful. We did a bike tour, the Vasa Museum, Royal Palace and ate a lot of great food! It was so nice to come back to a comfy apartment to relax. The washer/dryer was a nice benefit as we prepared for our next journey. Thank you for a great stay Magnus!

Perfect Place to Stay in Finspång!

I stayed in a very cozy and well-decorated studio in central Eskilstuna, located on a charming, old street near the water. The accommodation had a personal and warm atmosphere, with antique details and tasteful design that gave the feeling of stepping into another time, while everything was comfortable and well maintained. The location was perfect, close to both nature and the city's amenities. A pleasant place that suits those who appreciate tranquility, culture and aesthetics. Highly recommended

A perfect location and a great combination between nature and the lake with the homely atmosphere. The host was very nice and helpful. And the house had all that you needed.

(6 adults, 12 days) House + surroundings are fantastic. More beautiful than in the photos. House + kitchen very well equipped. Large master bedroom (wardrobe, bathroom (double shower + bathtub) large bed + TV). 2nd room - nice bed, but no wardrobe, so also smaller. 3rd room has bunk bed and a 140 cm wide bed + dressing room. More like a children's room. We swapped rooms after a week. 2nd + 3rd shared bathroom (shower) + TV room House has large windows, is flooded with light + offers a breathtaking view of the lake. Large terrace with fireplace, grill and various furniture. Negative points: Some kitchen machines + grill were not clean, but this is more due to the previous visitors. The duvets and mattresses showed signs of use. Linda + Michael were always available + very accommodating. I can only recommend the accommodation + would like to spend my vacation there again. Tack så mycket!

The perfect stay for our little family. Annah and Alex were extremely kind and helpful throughout our whole stay. Our kids (2 and 4) had the absolute greatest time exploring the house, grounds, animals and activities. Couldn't recommend more!

We had a wonderful vacation here. The house is very nicely decorated and the view of the sea is simply fantastically beautiful. We felt very comfortable here and would come back here at any time. The house is in a quiet location and from here we took many excursions. The host was available at all times and responded very quickly. We had beautiful, relaxed days in this wonderful and very tastefully furnished holiday home on the quiet but easily accessible island. The infrastructure and equipment are very good and well thought out, we lacked nothing. Many foods, spices, etc. were available in the house and the supermarket on the neighboring island was easily accessible by boat. The small electric boat was great for exploring the nearby coast and made shopping on Möja a nice excursion. Even in the rain, it was very cozy and we enjoyed nature in any weather through the large windows. In the evening, even deer came by.

Lennart and Chicki's house is a stunning stay. The view is just amazing and sitting watching the boats go by was so calming and relaxing. it's not far to drive to Saltsjõbaden where there are restaurants and cafes and a supermarket. It's best to have a car to stay here. The fact that it's slightly off the beaten path is the thing that makes it so special. The house has everything you need - comfy beds, great shower, big outdoor area, nice kitchen. Chicki was great to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here. Thanks for the lovely stay 🙂
