Beachfront holiday rental in Manhattan Beach

This place was exactly as advertised. We spent hours sitting outside in the yard relaxing during our stay which is exactly what we'd hoped for. The location was perfect: right near the beach and restaurants but in a quiet community. I'd love to stay here again.

Darrell’s place is in an unbeatable location — literally right on the beach! Out of all the options I looked at, this was by far the most affordable, and it exceeded expectations. It’s a private studio cottage (not a full house), located downstairs a massive balcony that directly overlooks the ocean. Super peaceful, with nothing but the sound of the waves right in front of you. Go to sleep so peaceful! The space was very clean and had everything we needed, including a smart TV with all the streaming apps — perfect for a relaxing night in. The unit is pet-friendly, which we appreciated! We also loved the neighborhood — it’s quiet, safe, and walkable, with a grocery store and restaurants just steps away. Darrell was a fantastic host and even left us wine and h20. Such a nice sweet surprise!! We will be back!

A great place to gather the family both near and far for Christmas. Very easy to get to some great beaches, restaurants, the Malibu Pier and Adamson house, canyon hike.

Loved the location on the peninsula. We were able to walk to the beach, to restaurants and really enjoyed being able to use the rooftop deck. Beds were super comfortable and the place was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very helpful also to have the garage for our car and e-bikes since parking is such a challenge in that area. Appreciated our host being available for any questions on arrival and throughout our stay. Hope to visit again!

Hidden gem right here and I am torn between telling everyone I know about it or keeping it a secret! I loved Laguna before, but staying in Mark’s place has really made me enjoy and love it even more! Staying here and not in a hotel made it feel like home and to be able to walk the neighborhood and walk down to the beach every morning has truly made this an incredible trip! I can’t wait to come back!

The PERFECT place!! Location. Location. Location. Clean. Responsive. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable beds. It had it all. Parking for 2nd vehicle was a challenge but really not that bad. Neighborhood was super safe and plenty to do and walking distance. Truly amazing in every way. Highly recommend.

This place is perfect for a group vacation in the Long Beach area. It’s a really neat and well taken care of 100 year old house that is beautiful and functional. The house is well equipped and the location is perfect with easy access to the beach, as well as a variety of restaurants and shops a couple blocks away from the beach. Minh was a pleasure to deal with and went out of his way to help. I highly recommend this rental and would gladly return.

Location is really nice. Quiet area and the sounds of the waves crashing at night was amazing.

Tony is an excellent host and we will try again to stay in one of his apartments when we return to MDR.

Melody’s kindness, attention to detail, and thoughtful recommendations, like the easy walk to Nobu restaurant, made our stay even more special. It was the perfect couple’s getaway peaceful, romantic, and filled with special touches. We are so grateful for the chance to stay here and can’t wait to return. The apartment is very clean and fit 6 of us. We stayed for one night but could see us staying there longer if we needed to. Karina is very responsive and kind. We had a spill and she was very understanding that accidents happen.

Nice place - in line with the description. Having a parking spot secured is a big plus. The flat by itself is very nice and well equipped..nothing is missing to have a pleasant stay. Plublic Transportation is at the corner of the bloc - will get you to Santa Monica pier in roughly 30mn. Then from there - metro rail is available to get you anywhere in LA Overall I recommend this place - and furthermore Alisa has been great to communicate with.

We really enjoyed our stay at Yese's condo! It was very easy to find and get into the unit, and Yese provided clear instructions which included pictures for the parking garage. The unit itself was very clean and organized and had all of the basics! It was conveniently located for everything we had planned and within driving distance of a lot of local hotspots. Would definitely stay again, and recommend if you are looking to be in the MDR area!

The views are wonderful and walking around the marina is pretty. The condo is spotless. Claudia was extremely responsive throughout the rental. I see why she is Superhost. It was winter so we didn’t use the pool, but the pool area and close-by patio area with hot tub are nice. Whole Foods in Venice is great and close by, as is Costco, so we had many meals at ‘home.’ A few cons: there is no bedroom. It is a studio. No fluffy white towels in bathroom as shown. Can’t use the small balcony. Finally - not a reflection on the host at all, but the building has shared water and morning showers were not always hot. Evening showers were fine. A nice place if you want a home base away from downtown in a pretty area.

I absolutely loved this Airbnb! The 2 bed, 2 bath setup was perfect. The couches were super comfortable, and the view of the beach from the balcony was stunning. There was plenty to do in the area, yet it still felt peaceful and relaxing. You really can’t beat the location—just minutes from the Long Beach Aquarium and close to everything we needed. Hands down, one of my favorite Airbnbs ever!

Kathryn is super thoughtful! The bottle of wine was a really nice touch. Loved the beach bag stocked with anything and everything you might need. The Neighbors are fabulous got to know them and their pets. Everyone was super friendly and kind. The area was fantastic with the beach and restaurants so close by. Great peaceful stay!

Will was a very responsive host and had great recommendations for the area. Just be aware that since this is an attached space to the next-door neighbors, the sound from upstairs is a bit prominent like footsteps/loud sound. Couple of knick knacks like the shower door and fridge door were to be fixed, but that was acknowledged to be repaired. Otherwise, I would love to stay here again.

Oraklus's place was just as it appeared in the pictures. Very spacious and great ocean views. Great breakfast restaurant just steps away. Would definitely stay here again.

4 night stay review: -great deal for a suit SO close to the beautiful beach - address needs to be requested for accurate location - unit clean & organized - unit has STAIRS , in case you need wheelchair access - doesn’t have Central AC but has fans provided - during our stay 1 out of the 2 fans worked. - we managed - our stay was 4 nights & was provided 1 whole toilet paper roll & 3 halfs. ( we just bought some)

The location of this apartment is really good with lots of nice restaurants, as well as supermarkets, within walking distance. The views from the apartment are lovely, overlooking the Santa Monica pier and the beach. The apartment was very clean and modern, and had everything we needed from extra towels, choice of different pillows, iron, hairdryer, equipped kitchen etc, there are also laundry facilities in the building which we found very helpful. Jonathan was a very responsive and helpful host who was able to answer any questions we had and sent useful information regarding check-in and check-out; collecting the keys and finding the building/apartment was straight forward and easy.

The only word I can say to describe Jim’s place is amazing. It really is. What an absolute privilege to stay in such a beautiful apartment on such a beautiful beach. The apartment had everything we needed and more, Jim was absolutely razor sharp responsive and when he nipped over to see us for an hour he left us feeling like we’d made a friend! What a great guy. Thank you, Jim. We’ll definitely be back.

Very beautiful place. Right on the beach by Malibu pier! Amazing sunsets! The condo is a very attractive looking and like new conditions. The staff are amazing and helpful. Great communication. Honestly, this is a Paradise. Can't wait come back here! Big thank you!!!!!!!

Someone on here mentioned that the place was like Airbnb beginnings and they were spot on! Nothing but praise from us: spotless, well designed/thought-out like someone actually lived there and thought “oh, this might bother the guests”, full of everything: dishes/utensils/cutlery , appliances for anything and everything, spices, coffee, sugar, butter, you name it, it’s available! Haven’t seen that kind of dedication to make guests feel great anywhere. Book freely and many times! Oh yeah, the beach is literally 5 mins and they also carry all the beach equipment you need! And bikes! And - you name it, as I said already. Bic, the host, was fantastic. We’ll book again if we return to the area.
