Little Owl Cottage

Lovely cosy cottage for one or two set on our little French farm in the beautiful and peaceful North Dordogne countryside. The cottage is nestled in 30 acres of fields and woodland where you can watch our many animals pottering around enjoying their sunny French retirement! We are halfway between the pretty villages of Mialet and Saint-Jory-de-Chalais which are well serviced with shops, bars, restaurants and boulangeries. Both villages are less than 5 minutes by car or 30 minutes on foot.

In the fall, lots of mushrooms for mushroom lovers!

La Ferme en Tuiles, is a cottage wich is a part of the old farm. It has its own entrance and garden. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a living room with sofa bed, a beautiful bathroom and a sleeping loft. There is a wood and oil stove, the heating costs are in addition to the rental price. Wood and/or oil are for sale from us or in the hardware store. The cottage is suitable for a maximum of 3 people. The area is ideal for people who love peace, nature, culture and good food.

You are located 5 minutes from Montemboeuf where you will find a grocery store, a bakery, a butcher shop, bars... You are located 2 hours from Royan, 1H from Cognac, 30 minutes from Angouleme, 15 minutes from the high charming lakes. You have several hiking trails nearby, including Terra Aventura tours that will allow you to discover the history and heritage of the area.

Located in the countryside, in a wooded area, the cabin is 3 minutes from all amenities (bakery, organic grocery store, supermarkets, frozen food store...) and 3 minutes from the heart of Saint-Junien, (weekly market on Saturday morning, covered halls, bars, restaurants, doctors, hospital...). It is also 10 minutes from the Oradour-sur-Glane Memorial Centre and 20 minutes from Limoges, City of Arts and Fire, famous for its porcelain.

La Maison Benaise, our bicentennial farm, welcomes guests who are mainly looking for tranquility and nature (Natura 2000 site). Guests can enjoy beautiful walks in the hilly Charente landscape. Sports enthusiasts can practice mountain biking, canoeing, swimming in the river or lakes around us or simply relax with a book and a drink on the sunny terrace. For children, our four Shetland ponies are ready for a little hug.
