Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in Matara

We've got a free upgrade and the room was very nice! The people are very friendly and attentive. The beach is gorgeous and you can relax or do some activities here. Definitely recommendable.

Amazing! This Family is so hospitable! We were staying here for 2 weeks and were fully satisfied! + Breakfasts are delicious! And you can get real pleasure if you order dinner - they can cook whatever you want! + All that you need as a tourist you can get right here - the hosts helped us with transfers, bikes, laundry, etc. + Nice location - away from center and noise. Of the cons: - Mattress is a bit old but has good firmness - The hosts did not respond to Airbnb until we have requested a transfer. We even almost cancel our reservation, but after everything was great

Great location with an amazing view.

Chaminda and his family are truly beautiful. I came as a guest and left as family. They are kind, friendly, attentive and true in their genuine hospitality. The room they have is great and the surroundings are fabulous. 5 mins to beautiful beaches and 20 mins inland to an amazingly peaceful temple set within the jungle. I was lucky to have a group of semi local lads staying near me who work locally on a site and whom were so friendly and welcoming. If you want to experience Sri Lanka and the heart of the people who make this country so beautiful and then stay here, for it is a special place owned by a magical family 🙏

We had another wonderful stay in the villa this year. This time I didn't book directly by the sea, but a little further back. The room was very big and the two beds were very comfortable. The terrace was a dream, where I could enjoy my coffee every morning at 7 a.m. with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was as delicious as always and really plentiful (great Sri Lankan breakfast on request) ❤️ The whole team is as helpful and friendly as always. You come as a guest and leave as a friend. This awesome house is run by a very sweet family who are easy to communicate with and always do their best to help. The location is in a very green and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful Buddhist temple and green rice fields nearby with lots peacocks (and all kinds of birds) around. I stayed at this house for two months and it has been a delight.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel, stunning sea view from the room and also cleaning of the room was a big plus! Nice staff and good breakfast. Recommend!

Very clean rooms with European standard bathroom. The very helpful owner Mahesh offers for breakfast homemade mango jam, just delicious. WineTreeGarden is located in a quiet location with a beautiful garden, about 5 minutes walk to Talaramba beach, 20 minutes walk to the main Beach of Mirissa. Great are the bikes Mahesh lends, super for self exploration of the area.

Amazing stay very close to main Mirissia beaches, beautiful surroundings but I would recommend renting a scooter/ tuktuk to make easier your displacement towards the area. Yummy breakfast and you can even practice Yoga on your terraza. Recommended!

The place was fantastically beautiful! Especially the garden area, where we could watch monkeys from time to time, 😍 the breakfast is highly recommended and is freshly prepared with many different treats ! We would definitely come back ☀️

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x

it is a hotel with a garden and a clean pool. there is a kitchen where you can cook and breakfast is included. this apartadomde the road like you hear the birds and you can see the monkeys in the morning. will be back thank you

Shamila is very welcoming and a good host. She had welcome smoothies at our arrival and also made breakfast every day, either toast, pancakes or some Sri Lankan breakfast. The place looks just like the pictures, very clean and nice. There’s also scooter rental possible at her place. You can walk to the closest beach, but have to walk a bit further to come to the nice parts, so I would recommend to rent a scooter to get around easily in town.

Note that it is not close to the downtown area of mirissa but it is a quiet area and is appreciated. It's a 10-minute walk from secret beach which makes it very special and seeing the sunsets from there is a pass. They are aware that you do not lack the comforts I eat and dine there all day. There is no air conditioner in the bedrooms and it is a little hot but it doesn't matter because the views are very nice. Thank you I will be back

I had a great stay with my parents at Sumimal resort, the location is great and you can explore Matara as well as Mirissa from this place. It is at a walking distance from the protected turtles beach. The place is clean and it is as it is in the pictures. On arrival fresh coconut water is awesome. I ate at the resort itself, home cooked traditional meal, it was delicious and I am already waiting to plan my stay again whenever I return to Sri Lanka next time. Edwin’s was a special place - a luxurious villa with a spacious swimming pool, beautifully decorated rooms, and super friendly staff. We were the first guests at this accommodation, so prepare yourself for Western-standard quality with everything you need, combined with heartfelt Sri Lankan hospitality. We had a wonderful time here.

I'm not sure where to begin because Sadeep's family and this place have given us so many sweet memories. We were the first guests at "Ceylon Lazy Lagoon." We felt at home from the welcome drink to the farewell. The apartments have a large sundeck and are beautifully furnished with antique touches. The entryway is only a few yards from the ocean. Everything is beautiful about this place and its people. We were fortunate to see three distinct sea turtles and other stunning marine life while snorkeling with him and his team. The following day, we were meant to go snorkeling with blue whales, but we decided against it because of the severe weather. Sadeep's cousin owns a charming little eatery as well! Man, they make the best Ceylon cuisine. The greatest two nights of our trip to Sri Lanka overall. With a wealth of activities and a lot of love and care, this resort in Mirissa is a must-see.

Great place. Everything is new and nice. Great shower, bathroom and balcony. The map locater took me to the wrong street so be cautious of that. Breakfast is not included (not that it is advertised) but there are many nearby options. Shady Lane has some of the best breakfast I have ever had.
