This is an outstanding place for kids and furry friends. Sue and Jim could not have been more helpful or welcoming - the cottage is pristine, cosy and with all you need no matter the weather. The grounds are stunning; affording you real privacy and lots to explore and do from climbing trees to den making, and all whilst surrounded by nature. You are only 10 mins from Inverurie which has plenty of shops to meet your needs. A trip to the Old Post Office for brilliant cakes, Castle Fraser and Kemnay are worth a visit as is the Pit Stop for a great fry up and the Gordon Highlanders museum is perfect for a raining day. Easily the most pet friendly place we have ever stayed.

A wonderful centre for our trip which took in family reunion, fly fishing, genealogical research, Pictish investigations. Easy going but caring host who lets you know what you can do not what you can't. From arrival felt we were visiting relatives in the glorious surrounding countryside.

Lesley was always very responsive…from the moment I first rented her cottage to the day we left. Beds were comfy, shower was great, and kitchen well appointed. Her 2 horses came to my granddaughter’s bedroom window for pats and love every day for the 4 days we were there, though it was the black one who was there most often. Lesley allowed us to feed them each an apple, and also took us to see her hens (who graciously provided some eggs Lesley left for us). Lesley’s place is out in the country and was so quiet and peaceful…perfect for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life!
