House holiday rentals in Mission Beach, San Diego

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Our home away from home. The property was conveniently located to major stores. It is 30 minutes to the San Diego Zoo, Birch Aquarium, and Sesame Street. The house is very spacious and brings in light energy. Our family loved the beds and comfy pillows which can make or break a vacation. The bathrooms were spacious and worked conveniently with the needs of our family, especially the Bluetooth speaker😁. The backyard was our favorite! Beautiful space during the day with plenty of space for our 3 year old to run. Serene and chill views in the evening. We 100% recommend this property for your family. And would definitely stay again.

Our host John provides a beautifully decorated home in a quiet, central neighborhood. The setup is exceptional, with both a heated pool and hot tub, and the experience felt like staying in a boutique hotel. He thoughtfully includes amenities like toothbrushes, makeup remover wipes, cotton pads, and more — the attention to detail really impressed us. We absolutely loved our time in La Jolla, and John’s local tips were spot-on. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend booking with him.

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

Jessica’s home is beautiful and located in a lovely neighborhood that is close proximity to many things. We came to celebrate the graduation of my niece and Jessica’s home was a great place for the family to connect, rest between events and spend time together! Her home is beautifully appointed and was perfect for our stay. Jessica is a great host who communicates with her guests and is very responsive! Her home is filled with good energy and I would definitely book again! for future family events when visiting San Diego!

I never leave reviews but had to for this home. Truly the most wonderful experience! Stayed for my sister’s bachelorette, and the backyard was even more incredible than pictured!! Every guest wished we could extend our stay, and my sister and I are already talking about trying to return to this exact home for a future family vacation.

We were at the beach constantly! We didn’t even have to wear shoes over there! If we ever forgot something that we wanted, we could just run back in less than three minutes to grab it. Such a game changer with young kids. Also, she was such a great host. We forgot something and she happily sent it to us in the mail. Highly recommend!

Great location! Very walkable to lots of spots in Mission Beach and right by the beach. The space had everything we needed and the outdoor seating made for a great area to hang out!

We loved our stay! The location was a few minutes walk to the beach, and the patio made for a nice gathering space. Erin was extremely responsive. She quickly answered any questions, gave good clear instructions, and helped us in many ways. We were provided with everything we needed for a fun day at the beach!

Gorgeous Airbnb on an almost private beach. Location is great for those who know the area. Only one bedroom and patio space is shared with other unit. But the view and serene environment made up for it :)

What a great house! This was our first Airbnb ever and they set the bar very high. The house is very clean, beautiful and comfortable. The outdoor living is perfect. It's so close to both the bay and the beach. Lauren was very responsive, informative and pleasant. It really was everything my family needed and hoped for! We would without a doubt stay there again.

We had such a great stay in this house. It is very spacious, super comfortable, super clean and a perfect location in mission beach, centrally located to everything. West coast was extremely helpful in getting us checked in early and very attentive to all requests. Thank you again, we will be back for sure!!

No words to describe how great this unit was and how great our trip was. Rooms were set up perfectly, everything was very convenient and comfortable. I especialy loved that every room had ceiling fans. Beautiful house beautiful location enjoyed every min of it especially when relaxing outside and watching the ocean views. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate when I visited, so I'm looking forward to my next San Diego trip so I can book it based on availability.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The location was great. Close to the beach and so many great restaurants within walking distance. Quick drives to other parts of San Diego if looking to go elsewhere, but we felt the area really had everything we could need! Alyssa was proactive about checking in during our stay and gave us great recommendations. The unit was very cozy and clean. A great place to relax after spending the day at the beach. The patio is quite large and a lovely place to enjoy meals and the fresh air. Highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!

Cynthia’s home was exceptional! The location is steps from the beach yet, on a quiet walk. The location allows one to be in the action or choose a more private and relaxed setting. Her home was beautiful, clean and everything I had hoped for. Thrilled that we were able to share it for my youngest son SDSU graduation weekend! I would return in a heartbeat!

It’s in a great location—just a short walk to the ocean, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The area felt safe and welcoming, and the space was definitely kid-friendly, which made our trip even more enjoyable. I had a great experience staying at this Airbnb! Tucked away in a beautiful location between the bay and beach, we were able to get the most of our stay by having immediate access to the walking paths and close by restaurants and activities. I really appreciated the kitchen equipped with everything needed to cook home meals. Host was very responsive and helpful. This was the perfect couple getaway. Definitely recommend!

Nice place, plenty of room for 2. We enjoyed biking around Mission Bay. There is some construction noise nextdoor on weekday mornings, but the host warned us well in advance and she was great to communicate with. Also, we were awake by 8 am anyways due to the time difference coming from the east coast, so it didn't bother us.

My family and I truly enjoyed staying at your beautiful home! Doug and Shawn really thought of everything for their guests! They are very professional, kind and responsive. The home is very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. We walked everywhere without having to move our car which was a big plus! If you’re traveling with a baby they have a pack and play and high chair you can use. We only used the pack and play and that was super helpful for us. It was one less thing we had to pack for our trip. If you’re looking for a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing home this is the place for you! The outside patio is absolutely stunning! We sat outside for dinner one night and truly enjoyed it! The home is very clean and organized as well! I highly recommend staying here when visiting San Diego. Being so close to the beach is what sold us, especially when you have to walk there with little kids! Thank you once again Doug and Shawn for hosting us! We really appreciate it!

We loved our stay, and couldn't have picked a better house for our reunion weekend. With a well-stocked kitchen and great living spaces throughout the house, our group of 5 was very comfortable. The beach chairs and bikes in the garage were a treat, and made accessing the local amenities easy. We also loved all the windows, which were great for letting in the sea breeze. We would definitely stay again!
