Bungalow holiday rentals in Mississippi River

This was a weekend getaway for my me and my 2 sisters. We each had our own space, the home was clean and cozy. It was a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were close to the beach and shopping. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

The place was decent other than the mattresses for the spare beds were pretty lumpy. We didn’t ask for any sort of help with those but I feel the owner should consider replacing them. Oven was turned on whether you liked it or not if it was plugged in. Kitchen has very basic appliances and utensils but served us just fine(except for the lack of a toaster). When we first got there it was suggested we communicate with Carolina through WhatsAp which is fine but we asked if there was a toaster, responded right away but ask for an additional pillow and she didn’t respond until I sent another msg through Airbnb. After that communication was spot on. The neighborhood seems poor and run down but everyone is nice and friendly. Lots of garbage floating in under the suite but they try to clean it as much as possible. All and all I would consider staying there again but would probably want to see other options just cause.

Lana was Amazing! Great response time, and everything was easy to find and understand. The Bungalow was a dream!!!! There was soooo much to look at, so much little detail, I kept finding little pieces of art. Very comfy and and romantic for my husband and I to celebrate our 5 year Anniversary. We were able to cook a nice dinner date w dessert, they have games and drawing, hot tub, swing, and did I say it smells wonderful w the beautiful jasmine plant in the back! Restaurants were delicious! Beach was relaxing, shopping strip was fun! Sweet shops yummm! And just the over all relaxation was so nice!

Heather was very fast at responding back to any question I had! Very clean and had literally everything we needed for our stay and then some!! The yard was our favorite place to hang, the privacy was nice! We were close to everything in town and the views were very nice! Super clean home and so many areas to sit and visit with your guest!!! And you had FANS! ;) thank you for all you provided and the wonderful home you shared with us!!

We stayed at this same place 2 years ago and decided we must reserve again this year! Our favorite thing was being so close to the beach. Sunset views from balcony and your back in 30 seconds for a nap. We felt away enough from the busy part to relax but close enough to walk to pier or dinner. The host was on point w local recommendations, quick responses and a well stocked house. 10/10 will always stay here when on a Galveston vaca!

This place felt like home ! It was clean and came with everything that was mentioned . The pictures are the exact same and the instructions were clear . This place wasn’t far from anything I had planned . There was an easy check in and out . It also was peaceful. I would love to come back and stay . Ricki home was everything .

The location is amazing with beach view and easy access. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a gourmet meal. Ice maker was impressive so there was always plenty of ice. The over sized balcony was perfect for lounging or dining no matter what the weather threw at you.

This cozy, charming home was the perfect place to stay! I loved the tall ceilings and all the homey touches that made it feel so welcoming. The way they kept the original character of the house while adding modern updates was just perfect. A great mix of comfort and charm—would definitely stay again!

This lovely home was as promised. Clear instructions from the hosts. The location is great--a pretty quiet neighborhood, just .5 miles from the beach and a lovely state park. Ten minutes or less to downtown Ocean Springs. Lots of restaurant and grocery choices nearby.

This house had a fantastic location and was exactly what we were looking for!

Fantastic location within walking distance of shopping and Bathhouse Row. Loved the special touches for our dog as well. Would definitely book again!

If you’re looking for 5 stars this may not be your place. But if you’re looking for place with character this is it. The wife and I had a weekend getaway, and felt right at home. Will be back soon, that’s for sure!

Our stay was so wonderful! The house had a wonderful yard the kids played in which kept them entertained. We played games in the back sunroom. Everyone said their beds were very comfortable and everyone got a good nights sleep! Next morning we simply had to go a mile to go to a quaint vegan breakfast downtown. We all loved our stay!!

Great stay in La Porte. Very clean, quiet and comfy, tastefully decorated, strong AC, fully equipped for cooking, 30 minutes from MD Anderson. The host was very responsive. Highly recommend! 5⭐️
