Cottage holiday rentals in Mississippi River

This is our favorite place to stay. Patti is so caring, has put so much love into the cottage, keeps you updated on the goings on for the dates you stay, and has everything you need inside. The space is beautiful, private, and relaxing. Make sure you say hi to all the birds, deer, chipmunks, and squirrels. It’s always quiet and serene at the cottage, but when you’re ready to enjoy some food and company, everything is just a beautiful 10-15 minute walk away.

This is a great space. There are so many sitting areas to enjoy the relaxation and seclusion. I will recommend this spot to everyone in my home town of Monroe/West Monroe Louisiana that is looking for a couples retreat. The place is also so close and easy to everything a person might come to Hot Springs for (very important). We will come back, for sure. Thank you Donna and Luke

This cabin felt super cozy right off the bat. The interior was warm and welcoming. It felt super comfortable/nostalgic. We brought our pups along on this trip and went on the boat to fish all day. It was wonderful & relaxing, with lots of great fish! It was exactly what we were looking for. The cabin was really clean! I had brought our own throw blankets to cover the furniture to make our pups feel more at home. But didn’t need to, they had a bunch of their own to share as well. There wasn’t any pups next door if that is something you’re concerned about. Everyone was super friendly on the lake which was pretty great. Definitely will be coming back again.

Beautiful home. Nice and private, but close enough to everything we needed. The kayaks and lake were the best part for our kids!

We loved our stay! Luke was a very responsive host. The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we loved having access to a hot tub and sauna. They anticipated anything we would’ve wanted during our stay (coffee, tea, extra towels for the hot tub) and provided clear instructions and recommendations. I would stay here again, and I would recommend this place to others looking to stay somewhere peaceful yet still near everything.

This little house was great! Loved the private deck and just a few minutes from all the action. we did have one incident with the air conditioning and tv remote was missing and Joe responded immediately and fixed the AC, put in a window unit (just in case) and replaced the remote. We had a wonderful visit with our pups in the quaint little place!

We loved our stay here. It was so close to the water which is hard to find at such a reasonable price. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were very responsive and even helped us with some recommendations for boat rentals that deliver to their dock which was extremely convenient. Although we did not rent a boat due to the weather, looking out at the lake on our first morning from our cabin was so calming. It’s a quiet place to stay if you’re looking to be away from the hustle and bustle of the Ozarks but still a close enough drive to get to food and activities.

I've been wanting to stay at this property for the last 4 years and my wife and I finally had an opportunity this weekend. it was a beautiful and quiet little place to getaway from it all for a couple of days. We loved the cabin and it was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we needed to just sit back enjoy some relaxing time away from it all. I highly recommend it and we'll definitely be returning for future stays .

Christopher was very nice and very helpful. He is very quick to respond to any questions or needs. The cabin was exactly as described and the area was very quiet and peaceful. We had an excellent stay.

We absolutely loved our time at Tochia’s cottage! It was exactly what we needed for our hiking trip. We were traveling with three kids, and she left us lots of goodies for them to enjoy. The yard and surroundings are so peaceful! We really enjoyed using the porch swings and tree swing. The provided s’mores and fire pit were the perfect touch to end the day. As soon as we got there, we were already talking about planning our next trip and staying here! We couldn’t have had a better host. This really is a gem!

Good stay. We rolled into town just after a series of thunderstorms came through. The expansive fully fenced yard was great for our dogs after a long day’s drive. There was a fair amount of mud in the yard after the t-storms , so we closed the driveway gates and let the dogs run around in the gravel driveway. There was a hose to clean the mud off the dogs but it needs replacing bc there’s a split in it that impeded the water’s flow. Clearly, the stay was all about our dogs on our cross country trip. In summary: a good, clean place with functioning a/c, and the bed was comfortable. We slept well and no issues. Paws & thumbs up!

Absolutely stunning property to clear your mind. Could hear the creek running nearby and endless bird songs. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. House was more than enough room and had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had such a wonderful stay at Lauren’s gorgeous home. It was beautifully decorated and a great base for our travels. We enjoyed evenings on the dock and mornings on the porch. It’s honestly one of the dreamiest houses we’ve ever stayed in.

This is a very relaxing, scenic And moderately secluded location. The wild life was lovely. Had the sky been cleared we would have enjoyed the telescope.

If you're looking for a peaceful escape that's still within easy reach of local attractions, this is the place! The house truly lives up to its name – it feels perfectly "off the beaten path," offering a sense of quiet and privacy that was so refreshing. We loved being able to relax in such a tranquil setting. Yet, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly and easily we could get to all the activities and sights we wanted to explore. It's the ideal balance! Beyond its fantastic location, Serenity House itself was great. It was clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the property; everything was spotlessly clean and organized. We also really appreciated how well-stocked the house was. From kitchen essentials to extra linens, which made our stay incredibly comfortable and convenient. The host was appropriately proactive and able to answer the one question we had with ease. Highly recommend Serenity House to anyone seeking a relaxing, clean, and perfectly situated getaway.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage! The information & communication from the Hosts was great. We appreciated all of the information up front, there were no surprises. We had no issues during our stay and would recommend this location to others.

Booked to go fly fishing because of location, but when the door opened I was like that’s not like the pictures! In a great way, the home is gorgeous inside and out. The property is gorgeous and way more stream than I thought! Fire pit, and wood already! Games, foosball, and NO TV! Yes, No television and it was great. Made us go walk when there was downtime. Made us read books, made us sit outside and just listen to the birds and frogs and watch the deer literally come drink out of the stream as you sit near by. One note if renting, make sure you download an offline map on phone before you go. There is no reception at all! And Lacrosse is only a 25 min drive if you need a fancier dinner then Westby or Viroqua have to offer! Thank you for sharing your home.

This was a nice place with a good location to all the Branson things! Away from the crowds and relaxing.

We had an absolute blast. Was such a good find for us. Slept everyone well and had everything we needed. The hosts were quick to call when we had an issue (user error on my end) and helped us get things rockin and rolling. The view out back was unreal and only a short drive to get to town. Will definitely be back! Thanks for everything!

The Artist cottage was as described, and it was the perfect place for my husband and I to spend a very tranquil afternoon and morning reading, playing card games, and just enjoying the scenery. Plus, we got to interact the menagerie of animals on site, and Kathleen was very responsive. If you plan to explore the nearby towns/cities, just keep in mind the strip closes fairly early and everything isn’t necessarily open on weeekends. But the cottage was more than accommodating, so enjoy the privacy and the charm!
