Idyllic Thatched Cottage in Ancient Devon Village

AnnaRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Moorland View Cottage is an absolute gem of a place. It’s so charming and very tastefully furnished, and we had a wonderful time. Suzy was such a friendly, proactive and kind host. The linens and kitchen equipment were all of high quality, the little garden was very pretty, and we all slept very well in the peaceful village of North Bovey. The rooms aren’t huge but they are very cosy and immaculately presented, with lovely views. The local pub The Ring of Bells has friendly service and top-notch food. Last but not least the book selection at the cottage was very well chosen and extensive, including loads of information and maps about the local area. Suzy sent a very helpful email before arrival about the local sights, shops etc. All in all a very memorable stay. We loved it. Thank you!

Cornwall Beach House - Panoramic Sea Views

BobbyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

South Creaber Stables, Dartmoor National Park

EvaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We were in awe of the South Creaber condo! It’s the most peaceful and beautiful location, right on the moor. The setting was wonderful and we adored interacting with all the animals, too - the cats, the sweetest dog, chickens, horses, and all living amongst breathtaking views right outside our door. The condo itself had so much history and is beautifully updated. The bed was very comfortable and the claw foot tub and two bathrooms were great. There were so many breakfast fixings and Mimi welcomed us to do loads of laundry as well. Thanks for everything, this is such a special place!

A very pleasant place to stay in charming village. Plenty of sunlight coming in through the wall of windows. Incredibly easy access to beautiful trails through the Moors. The local pub is nice too. Valerie was wonderful and helpful with recommendations for walks and runs!

Fallows Leap

BaileyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Patsy was a great host. She was extremely helpful for me and my partner, and she was always quick to respond. She was attentive to detail, i.e marshmallows for toasting, little chocolates for Easter, breakfast hamper, and a cocktail making kit with free drinks. Over all, Fallows Leap was a great place to stay for a relaxing weekend and Patsy was a wonderful host. Would definitely stay here again. One thing I will add is that the bed was very comfortable, although if you’re tall, you won’t be able to stretch out properly. One person could lay comfortably if lay diagonally but if you’re with someone and you’re both tall you may struggle. Everything else was perfect 👌🏻

The Oaks spacious 5 bedroom modern barn conversion

ModestyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We are a of 5 couples with very high expectations. So hard to find one property that provided everything on our extensive wish list and this trumped everything else. Every bedroom was large with ensuite and tv for those who want it. Plenty of break out space when required too. Best of all is the peace and quiet and far-reaching views of the beautiful countryside. Very thoughtful touches too like milk in the fridge and a cream tea awaits your arrival. We all agreed it was our best choice yet and will be back. Our weather was awful so the planned activities didn't happen although a few did venture out for walks when the rain stopped. The rest of us were happy to chat and chill and just enjoy thespace.

Great Cleave @East Underdown in Dartmoor Nat’l Pk

AbrahamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
we had the pleasure returning this property for the second time. Barbara is living abroad so we had Sue and Bob, who are taking care of the property. It’s a lovely little cottage with plenty of space with an oldschool charm. They are so lovely and they make you feel right at home. I highly recommend it. There is also quite a nice small swimming pool with some equipment. Regarding the house itself it well thought out with Gaines for children of a staircase to protect the kids going down the stairs and the dogs. Thank you very much.
