We had an incredible stay here. Such a lovely home. Natsuko was so kind to pick us up from the nearby park to direct us to the house.

Charming old house 88 ㎡ 1 station from Tennoji station 4-minute walk from JR "Teradacho station"

This is my second stay. This time, three generations of us used it. Last time, my father was particularly pleased. It seems that spending time with our grandchildren and children, talking slowly, discussing dinner and breakfast, and sharing everyday life together was a very peaceful and happy time. Next, my mother will join us!So, I stayed there for the second time. All three generations live in Osaka, so we have the opportunity to meet each other, but we are all busy and even if we can meet with our parents, it is only for a short time. I don't usually stay in one place for long. NIma Tomari is kind to busy children, us, and parents who live at their own pace, and everyone! It was a warm place, like a second home that welcomed us. Everyone goes to work or school and returns to Nima. We eat dinner together and each of us does what we like to relax. Just by being there and sharing the space, I felt a quiet happiness. In the morning, I thought it would be nice to go out to my own destination again. It was precisely because of this place, where NimaStay's courtesy and passion for craftsmanship were exuded, that We look forward to returning again! Welcome!and Welcome back!I wanted to be greeted. I saw the happy faces of parents and children.Thank you very much. Thank you very much.

1-min Station | River-View House on Nakasendo

AarniRating, 5 stars1 week ago
If you're looking to get away from basically everything, this is the place. Surrounded by beautiful mountains, next to a rushing river, it's nothing like the big cities and millions of people rushing this way and that you might associate with Japan. That said, that also means there isn't a lot to _do_ in Nagiso or Tsumago, other than hike and see some local sights, and local transit can be a little patchy. The place itself is beautiful and comfortable, literally right next to the JR station, with a full-featured kitchen (a local supermarket is right down the street), comfy beds, big projector screen for a night of chilling out (e. g. after hiking in the rain, as we did)! There's also a nice recently reopened café next door, and some restaurants (though don't expect very long opening hours) too. Small note - if you're _very_ sensitive to traffic/industrial noise, be aware there's a somewhat major highway next to the house. Traffic does die down in the night though.

Private villa with private sauna/drinkable natural water bath/covered BBQ/pizza oven/4k projector

Loved staying by the Itadori river, the village is by no means touristy, in fact the opposite, one tiny shop opposite the property, a couple of eating places but they were closed, but in saying that it was great to wander round a "real village", spotted a troop on monkeys up at the village shrine, there was also great bird wildlife. The river valley is absolutley beautiful, we loved the small balcony looking over the river. The place was absolutely spotless and vey well equipped. A car is really needed. It is by a road, although not busy there was a little noise in the early morning but I would certainly stay again.

Experience Japanese local culture and nature

AmaaniRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed here for a couple nights during our month of Japan travel and it was the most peaceful place we’ve stayed. Surrounded by nature and the big windows with amazing views. So spacious and aesthetic. Yuki was also wonderful making check in easy as we arrived in the evening and even helped us reserve a place for lunch at local restaurant. Would have loved to stay longer and would recommend to anyone thinking of experiencing the quieter countryside. We had a car and it was easy to get around Ena and into the centre.

【Machiya de Sauna】with sauna/Near Kyoto Station

JasonRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The home was beautiful and worked for my family of 5. The host provided a nice assortment of refreshments in the refrigerator which was nice to have after our short walk from the station. My wife and I used the bedroom on the ground floor. The bed was very comfy and it was private from the main sleeping area upstairs where our children slept. The kitchen could work for a meal but there are many restaurants close by. One night. We ate at “the perfect” restaurant one block away….you pass by it from the train station. If you really want to experience a neighborhood restaurant, I recommend. It wasn’t until we started translating the menu that I realized the sign out front wasn’t advertising yakatori specials…but all you can drink specials. lol! It was loud, fun, a little smoky and the food was good and authentic. Get the sashimi course. The sauna and plunge pool was amazing to have at the end of each day too! Bicycle rental shop and 7-11 are steps away.

This price for 2 people! An inn in a historic kominka house in Iwamura Castle Town. How about renting a retro kimono and dressing up? (Reservation required)

VeronikaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had an absolutely wonderful two nights at Sonoco's place, which is right in the centre of the old town of Iwamura. I was the only guest at the property, which was spacious and super clean with a lot of lovely details that characterise a traditional Japanese home. It was also really nice and quiet at night. Sonoko made sure I was comfortable and gave me lots of tips for what to see and where to eat. Sonoko was the kindest hostess and I would wholeheartedly recommend her place to anyone. If you are staying here at the weekend, also make sure you get a coffee from cafe Sumire, which is only two doors down from Sonoko's place.
