We are just 20 minutes away from Bryson City and the Nantahala Outdoor Center, 10 minutes from Tsali Recreation, 25 minutes from the Smoky Mountain National Park, Cherokee and The Blue Ridge Parkway. The Mateos (named after our architect’s little son) are 4 small and separate bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – this is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).

Forget the world in this relaxing, private oasis right on the river. Bring your entire crew and unwind from the daily grind. Enjoy a sauna and a plunge in the river, or a game of pool. Nantahala has no cell service, but we have wifi, and the most amazing piece of heaven anyone could ask for. The river forms a horse-shoe shape around the cabin making you feel like you’re surrounded by nature. Plenty of room for cookouts and children to play. Nothing like a firepit right on the water!

Three levels with a bedroom and bath on each level. Each bedroom has a queen or king size bed. In the lower level, the bedroom has an additional daybed with a trundle. Two living areas. No sofa beds.
