Holiday rentals with lake access in Nelson

The place was beautiful and peaceful　and easy short walk to the beach for water activities. The lofty was great. while BBQ, we enjoyed the gorgeous seinery from the deck. The host was very communicative and friendly. We'll definitely visit again. Highly recommend!

Wow! We had such an amazing time at the Rusty Bear…we didn’t want to leave! The location is incredible, just a few steps from the water. The sauna and running down to the lake combo comes highly recommended! The trains were not a bother at all but glad of the warning as the horn is loud haha! There are amazing trails just down the road, the bakery is amazing - great pizzas on Fridays and really good coffee and baked goods (the famous cinnamon buns did not disappoint!). The house was super clean, and the little dog touches were really stand out - beds, toys, biscuits! It’s a great spot for dogs. There are neighbours close but you can’t see them at all from the property and hardly even from the beach. So wonderfully idyllic

The perfect lakefront escape! This cabin is the jackpot—a private beach, all the nature & cabin vibes, and enough space to fit my modern family of five plus our two fur babies. The cabin is spacious, comfy, quirky layout and everything you could possibly need from games, kitchen wear to towels & more. Great communication with Craig, easy to get into. If you’re craving a secluded, serene spot by the lake, this is it.

If I could give more than five stars, I certainly would. This place is fantastic, offering a beautiful house with all the necessary amenities. Situated in a picturesque location, it affords numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation. Our hosts were remarkable, always willing to go the extra mile to assist us, and they also had a lovely dogs with whom we greatly enjoyed spending time. I would be delighted to return as soon as possible. Highly recommended. 👌

This place is a gem! The house is beautiful, spacious and well equipped. Awesome views! We went down to the water every single day to swim, fish for trout and throw sticks in the water for our pup. Great hiking in the area. Super friendly and responsive host. Highly recommended!!

Kat and Mike were amazing hosts! They made us feel so at home with personalized creamer for our coffee in the fridge and a welcome card along with a welcome basket! The house is even better than the pictures and the location is beautiful with a short walk to the beach!

Fantastic stay at the Hidden Half Mile Lake House! This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We were blown away by the views from every aspect of the house including the hot tub! Attention to detail was amazing and everything was top spec. Despite being within walking distance of Nelson there is a feeling of peace and tranquility around the area. The hosts do a brilliant job of keeping the house in great condition and Jake went out of his way to come by and blow up the paddle boards for our use! It’s not at all surprising that this house was recently listed as one of the best AirBnBs in Canada. We would thoroughly recommend anyone to book this place and we would love to return one day! Thank you Jake and Mariah!

This is a wonderful property in a fabulous location overlooking Kootenay Lake. 6 of us including a 90 year old father enjoyed the spacious open plan living area making extensive use of the kitchen. All of us thought the mattresses excellent for comfort! We had a number of things to ask James and he was endlessly responsive. We would happily stay here again!

This was a lovely place to stay - Michelle made it so easy. Would come back if I was back in Nelson!

Staying at Maria's place was everywhere would have hoped. It was only a few blocks from the heart of downtown & the river, yet it was so private and cozy. Plenty of room for myself and 2 friends. Inside the house were perfect pairings of antiques and artful touches. I'm so glad we stayed there and will choose it 100% of the time when I come to Nelson again.

This is Quite simply a hidden gem in Nelson !! .Loved my stay here and Maria is such a sweetheart. Would 100% recommend

this was by far the best place we have ever booked for something peaceful and convinent. we loved waking up to sunrise with a view of the lake and the mountains. my dad caught a fish just off the rocks and so close to kaslo and nelson. plus fletcher falls!. the lake is beautiful there wish I brought my paddleboard as it seemed so flat majority of the time, as it's in somewhat of a bay! the hike down was steep to the beach, but my parents who are 65+ was able to handle it. thank you for such a beautiful stay!

Courtney’s place is perfect! Pictures and description is accurate, very comfortable and tasteful decor. You can’t ask for a better location. Less than half a block from Nelson’s best coffee shop. 1 block to Baker street with all of the fantastic stores and restaurants. Lots of hikes and walks nearby. Courtney gave detailed instructions on where to park and how to enter the unit. Great place for a couple to stay , we would definitely book this unit again.

Maria was such a delightful host. She greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed including some restaurant recommendations. The apartment was exactly how it is described and it was very well appointed with a lot of personal touches. We would definitely reserve this unit or another of her places if we return to Nelson. What a great little spot. Thank you for taking such good care of us.

Will stay again

The beach house is one of my favourite places. The view is unsurpassed and there is plenty to do if you like playing outside. Or even if you just like sitting and watching the light change on the water. Kayaking from the beach every morning is a real treat and there are plenty of spots nearby to bike or hike.

This was a perfect place to stay for our week away. We had 2 dogs with us who loved the water. The hosts were extremely accommodating and we felt right at home. The place was immaculately clean, and we had everything we could have needed for a beach vacation.

What an amazing view as you walk around the corner of the house. It's a little peace of paradise right here. The cottage was spotless. The location was perfect. The walkway from the road to the cottage could use a little work, more stairs needed I think. But overall the place is perfect for a relaxing getaway in the fall. Thanks for your hospitality., till the next time.

Emilie’s place was wonderful! She was super accommodating and lovely. Our 1.5 year old had so much fun on the beach, and huge patio overlooking Nelson. Would highly recommend!

The cabin and property were fantastic. Highly recommend this place.

We absolutely loved the cottage and will definitely be back. I love that it was fairly central and easy to get to Nelson (about 10-12 min drive) but felt like a cabin in the woods with beautiful views of water and mountains. The wood burning stove was amazing and made the place so cozy. We brought some games from home but there was a good selection there already. It actually felt bigger than the photos online, especially the kitchen. We can’t wait for our next trip.

Laura and host were very helpful and did everything they could to help us when we needed it. There were extenuating circumstances with a forest fire that needed immediate help and they helped us as much as they could. Lauras place is beautiful.

The cottage was exactly what I needed for a long, relaxing vacation with my dogs! Very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and stocked with everything we needed. Natalie went above and beyond in helping and providing personalized recommendations. The area was great for exploring, getting away from it all, and truly getting the chance to unwind. We will absolutely be back!
