A rustic and homely house on a remote sheep farm

Our farm is the easternmost habitat place on Iceland and extremely remote. We are surrounded by mountains and the ocean, and there are many hiking options. We have a lighthouse here along with a small weather station. Our little farm gets closed off from the world during the winter months, so it's the perfect opportunity for those that seek a break from just about everything. You probably couldn't imagine a more peaceful and quiet place, where you are also welcomed to join us in any activities.

Hello dear visitors! We are a team of two passionate travellers (Ieva and Nicolas) who settled down on a faraway fjord in Iceland and are excited to meet you here. We are in the middle of our life project - renovating a beautiful old house in the centre of unpronounceable Fáskrúðsfjörður. Our little cozy studio is a result of our own imagination, we created it ourselves with lots of love and personal touch. Looking forward meeting you here and sharing our tips on discovering beautiful East.

Top floor apt on the rainbow street

A welcoming top-floor apartment, located in the center of town on the famous Rainbow Street. The house has over a century of history and features a calm and cozy interior with everything you need for a comfortable stay in the prettiest town in East Iceland. You can’t be better placed: within walking distance you’ll find restaurants, pubs, a supermarket, boutiques, swimming pool, golf course, kayak rental, and various hiking paths in our stunning fjordside landscape.

The view changes with the seasons – from northern lights in winter to golden sunsets and green meadows in summer. The house blends modern comfort with Icelandic charm. Surrounded by peaceful nature on the countryside of East Iceland these spacious and cozy cottages offer, for example, view over the Lagarfljot River and Dyrfjöll mountain. Around the place is a great wild-bird life over the summertime and here you can take a walk in the nature and enjoy some alone-time. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

Beautiful Cottage at Kaldá Lyngholt 2

The cottage is on a small and quiet family run farm, 8 km to the town Egilsstaðir. These small houses are cozy and heated with geothermal energy, the cottages can be booked all year around. We provide linen, towels, tea and Coffee for no extra charge. The surrounding area consists of a river, trees, northern lights, beautiful nature and during the winter time you might even see some reindeers wandering around.

Honeymoon Cabin with Hot tub and treasure hunt

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq. Don’t miss to hike and visit Vestdalur waterfalls that is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is provided with dvds, books and vintage video games.

Brún

It's a big old house on two floors and a basement. There's a big patio with furniture and a gas grill. Balcony from the living room with great views of the fjord. Fenced garden with lots of trees and a good playground. There's a playground next to the park. The coffee shop is open in Sólbrekka during the summer from June 15th to August 10th, where you can get light meals.

Fully equipped kitchen and dining table for 5 persons. The apartment is not shared with anyone else. .

Hólshýsi - Hóls Cottage

In Fljótsdal next to the farm Hóll in Norðurdalur is Hólshýsi. A cosy cottage that is surrounded by endless adventures and sounds of nature and wildlife. Close to countless highlights such as Hengifoss, Hallormstaður, the Wilderness Center and Laugarfell.

Gíslastaðir - Cottage

The cottage is located near the owner’s farm with lovely views over the nearby stream to the mountains behind. It is around 12 Km from Egilsstaðir and is well situated for exploring the spectacular nature of East Iceland. The farm offers horse riding.

Bright, cozy ground floor flat

A cozy one bedroom flat in beautiful Nesskaupsstaður equipped with everything you need for your travel. The flat can host up to 6 persons, with a double bed in the bedroom and two pullout sofas in the living room, as well as one toddler bed.
