House holiday rentals in Old Town, San Diego

I am a San Diego local, but my family was coming to town and we needed more space. I picked this place because I knew my sister and brother-in-law would love being able to walk to all the restaurants and brewery nearby and my 6 year old nephew would get a lot of use out of the pool. The place exceeded my expectations, it was perfect for everyone. We spent a lot of time in the backyard swimming or playing board games, and my Mom got a lot of use out of the hot tub. Communication with the host was excellent and the place was comfortable and clean. The only downside is my family might visit too often now!

Our host John provides a beautifully decorated home in a quiet, central neighborhood. The setup is exceptional, with both a heated pool and hot tub, and the experience felt like staying in a boutique hotel. He thoughtfully includes amenities like toothbrushes, makeup remover wipes, cotton pads, and more — the attention to detail really impressed us. We absolutely loved our time in La Jolla, and John’s local tips were spot-on. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend booking with him.

Great place to stay! Very clean and great pool for the family! Close to SeaWorld and Malls! Definately would stay here again and Brian was a great host and very responsive when we needed him.

Stay at Katri’s was great. Had delicious cookies waiting for us when we checked in, which was a breeze. House was spacious and entire lot was very big. Pool was great and even after we had told them that no heated pool would be necessary, Mother Nature had a different idea and gave us some more than unexpected chilly weather, so they had no problem throwing the heater on for us. Freeway in the background was hardly a noise problem for us personally. Just far enough that it didn’t affect us, and was nice to see what our morning commute was going to be like. Brought two dogs with the group that absolutely loved everything (after one of them finally got over his fear of the staircase). All in all a great stay in a great neighborhood. Cant comment more how quickly they responded to us in the days leading up to the trip, and while we were there. Great hosts!

We loved our stay at Mari Katherine’s Airbnb for a girl’s weekend in SD! It is a beautiful home that was spacious and thoughtfully designed and decorated to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The home feels private, but was in a fantastic location in North Park that was easily walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Mari Katherine sent clear instructions leading up to our stay, so the logistics of check in were clear and easy! When some logistical challenges came up during our stay, Mari Katherine was very responsive (even late in the evening) and offered solutions - we would be thrilled to visit again!

The location is a ten minute walk to the beach. There’s a sprouts three minutes away and numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Great location with a very great host. Very kind people. I would definitely stay again.

Van was very friendly, even had great food recommendations for my family and I. The home was one of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. My children thought we were in a place of royalty with how well put together the house was. Loved our stay and will definitely be back

If you have a family with children this is the PERFECT place! Not only are there plenty of toys and board games to keep the kids entertained, there is also a pool and jacuzzi. This rental even had toothbrushes and toothpaste along with sunscreen and aloe in case you forgot.

Overall, we had a good stay here. The place matched the description, and it was in a central location with easy access to highways. We were able to reach most parts of San Diego quickly. Mary Grace was responsive and friendly.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was incredibly quiet, which made for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. I absolutely loved the aesthetic—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and full of charm. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made it feel even more comfortable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a serene and stylish place to unwind!

Great place and very clean upon arrival. I enjoyed my stay and it was very close to the beach! The host was very attentive and responsive.

This three bedroom two bath was very clean and close to all the restaurants like taco sand underbelly. The parking spot spots were a little tight, but that’s North Park for you and we were able to fit our minivan into the parking spot on the driveway. We appreciated the soft and extra towels, the nice beds, fully stocked kitchen with spices and oil etc. The reason why we chose this place was that it was kid friendly with Pak and place provided a highchair and we were even happy to see that there were toys, book, kid utensils and plastic bowls and plates for the kids. This is a perfect place for family’s. Our 4 year old and 2 year old love this place. The backyard is spacious with a fire pit and plenty of seats and there were beach toys and chairs in the tub. We would highly recommend this Airbnb. Svelte was awesome and did everything she could to make the trip exceptional. Thank you!

My stay here was exactly how I wanted it to be. The home was very clean and had a lot of necessities like cookware, silverware, shower products, and so much more! Everything was super neat and organized. The bed was extremely comfy. The host was very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed, also made sure all our questions were answered. I am looking forward to staying here again when I return to San Diego. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about staying here. You definitely get your moneys worth.

Negar was such a great host!! Was always quick to respond and very helpful. The room was so cozy and clean. The back yard makes you feel like ur in a secret garden. Had a pleasant time.

Robs place was very cozy and suited my wife 3 year old and myself quite nicely. The location is great for a La Jolla trip, downtown and the San Diego zoo. It fit our needs perfectly and their jacuzzi is the nicest one my wife and I have seen (we usually prioritize jacuzzis for our stay). They were polite and even accommodated a 2 hour earlier check in for us as we had our 3 year old with us and they get fiesty 😂. Thank you to everybody associated with this location, it was amazing

This is such a gem located just a few blocks from Ocean Beach. You can’t beat the price/location. We didn’t have to move our car all weekend, everything we needed was walking distance to Edwin’s place.

Lindsey was an amazing host and the place was just as amazing! very nice and cozy inside and it was in a perfect location about 15 minutes from downtown. every place we had planned for the trip was very close and the beach less than 4 minutes away was a nice plus! it was very clean we spilled water on the floor and when we wiped it up the paper towel came up still white! i would definitely stay here again :)

Conveniently located . Easy to find . Well maintained front and backyard . Quiet, peaceful and safe area . Host very responsive and allowed us to stay a bit longer to give us time to clean up and leave the place as orderly as we found it .

Our stay in Old Town San Diego was amazing. The location of the home is perfect for walking around and easy access to the trolly for getting downtown. Would love to stay here again in the future.

We have stayed in a lot of home rentals over the years and feel this is the best we have stayed in. Arturo was responsive and easy to contact, helping us change guest size with no issues. The house was great, it was like walking into my own home with everything I could think of needing along with being clean and well maintained. It is close enough to everything in San Diego and has plenty of things to do in the neighborhood. Felt safe and comfortable and all the neighbors were friendly. We have family in the city and all agreed we would stay here again the next visit and will recommend to everyone coming to town.

Joseph was a great host. I was surprised to have snacks and coffee stocked. We were also greeted with a bottle of wine for us - which was so nice. The home was in a nice location, it was clean, but it’s not very walkable. We ended up renting a car - which made everything closer to get to. Overall, good home, had everything we’d need for a week’s stay.

The space is amazing. So centralized. Everytime I’m in SD I stay here I love it. It’s 10-15 minutes away from everything. So quiet and peaceful with a beautiful neighborhood the entire area is stunning . The rental is full and free with a true beach type of feeling. If you’re lucky enough to book here you will not regret it.

Gorgeous Airbnb on an almost private beach. Location is great for those who know the area. Only one bedroom and patio space is shared with other unit. But the view and serene environment made up for it :)
