This house overlooks Lake Nojiri and has a superb view. There are several ski resorts (Myoko, Kurohime, Madarao) about 15-20 minutes away by car, making it a perfect base for winter sports. Enjoy the wood stove sauna and the water bath with a view. There are no private houses around, so you can listen to music and watch movies loudly. Because it is a house located deep in the mountains, we take the best measures, but in the warm season, insects come out. It snows a lot in winter. In autumn, fallen leaves dance. You will also need to adjust the wood stove fire yourself. It's not an easy house to live in, but we promise you a great view and experience. Enjoy cooking with a counter kitchen with a view, condiments and cooking utensils. (There is no equipment for BBQ)

We recommend driving to explore more around the highlands and snow tires (or chains) are a must have during winter. We are 1080m above sea level, its cool in summer!

Koshikake Home is a hand-cut log house on a 1,000m highland, about 25 minutes by car from Nagano Station. Surrounded by nature, it offers a quiet and private place to relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. Zenkoji Temple and Togakushi Shrines are nearby. Iizuna Resort and Togakushi Ski Area are both within 20 minutes. Hakuba and Snow Monkey park are easy day trips. At just under 100 square meters of functional space, the unit was designed by Hakuba Powder Lodge co-owner Hiroko Kowal. This cottage features a functional modern kitchen in a wide open living room area with a large dining table, sofa and TV. Upstairs you will find 3 bedrooms with space for up to 6 guests.
