Holiday rentals with a hot tub in Papagayo Peninsula

This is our 3rd month in a row staying at Las Catalinas. Each month we have chosen a different Airbnb in the area. We felt right at home in location. Everything in the home was comfortable and just as advertised in the listing. We tried out the Beach Club that was included in the rental, but decided that we would spend time elsewhere due to all the children who were using the Beach Club as a playground. We did enjoy walking around the homes close to the Beach Club! That was a new experience during this visit. In January and February we were not aware that we could walk around this area. We would definitely recommend this location.

The view is beautiful, the house is large and fit 10 of us comfortably! Lots of shops just down the street, many options for groceries and local food as well. Must have a car to get around, as this house is at the top of a mountain. We enjoyed our time here and would return again! Our host Alex was very responsive throughout the 12 days we here. If something was wrong he sent someone to fix it immediately. The pool was cleaned twice and the grounds were landscaped twice as well during our time. The house is equipped with all linens needed, extra beach towels, toiletries and all cooking supplies we needed to make Christmas Dinner and more.

This place is even more beautiful than in the pictures! We especially loved the pool which was always the perfect temperature. The decor and architecture was very natural and beautiful, complete with pretty tile work and natural boho decor. There is a nice kitchen with all the utensils you need to prep food and a relaxing living area. The true beauty of this location shines in the outdoor area which features a perfect sized pool, outdoor shower, fire pit and cute seating area. The host Esteban was so welcoming and very communicative. If you are thinking about booking this location, definitely do it! You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!

Perfect home base for our Costa Rican adventure. Spacious and modern luxury home that afforded privacy for our families (4 adults, 6 children). Gorgeous pool and courtyard garden were so nice to come home to each day. Location is perfect. Walking distance to the beach, and a short golf cart ride to restaurants and shops in town. We enjoyed staying away from downtown because of the peace and quiet. Safe and secure gated community. Welcome, but unobtrusive security presence. We felt perfectly safe. Incredible concierge organized once in a lifetime adventures in the rain forest, on the water, and zip lining in the nearby mountains. The restaurant recommendations were excellent. Adults and kids all agreed it was the trip of a lifetime.

Good location, right by the airport!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Karolina was… she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and wanted. My flight was delayed 6 hours which had us driving to her home at 1am and she was so responsive and understanding it made a horrible situation into a beautiful experience. I have 4 kids and with 2 in each bed we fit perfectly. We even did yoga on the deck in the morning. The house was very clean and I actually loved the master room bed because it was nice and firm. We only stayed there one night but it was a perfect stopping point in our journey.

The Enclave is the perfect little escape in Avellana. Steven, our host, was the best! The very first night he showed up and helped us set up a pack and play for our little one. He was helpful throughout the entire trip and a real highlight. My wife and I agreed the unit looked even better than the pictures. Great amenities, super safe, and the perfect spot if you’re traveling with the entire family. The pool is gorgeous and felt very safe with 24/7 security. You will definitely need to rent a car to get around the area and I don’t recommend driving much at night as the roads are filled with pot holes. Our 14-month had fun but I wouldn’t recommend traveling in this area with a younger child.

Pictures don’t do this place justice. It is so nice! Very secluded and peaceful yet only 5 minutes from town with the golf cart (big hills to get there so you need some type of transportation!). Communication with Marco and Todd was above and beyond, they made sure we had everything we needed. We hired the private chef for one night and it was amazing! Really loved our stay ♥️

Casa Serendipity was pure magic for our family. As a wellness practitioner and mama of two little ones, I’ve stayed in many places—but this was truly a sanctuary. Mariela is the most incredible host—like a 24/7 concierge angel. From airport pick-up, car rental, grocery tips, to curated local gems—she thought of everything. The home is stunning, spacious, and incredibly private, yet perfectly located to easily explore the best beaches, restaurants, and adventures. We woke to birdsong, made meals in the outdoor kitchen, lounged by the pool, and even picked fresh mangoes. It was peaceful, secure, and deeply nourishing. Every detail supported ease and connection. After full days exploring, it felt like coming home to serenity. I would stay here every time—we’re already dreaming of our return. Mariela, thank you for creating this heart-centered haven. Great location and great views. House was very well maintained and Angelica was exceptionally timely fixing any issues (all very minor). We stayed two weeks and the cleaners came after week one to do the house and pool which was wonderful.

Fantastic beach compound. Christelle's house is the very northernmost on Brasilita where its quiet. House is directly across the road (as close as you can get) from the beach. This is a new house with all the conveniences you would expect on a higher end listing. The outdoor is exactly as pictured and makes it easy to eat outdoors and lounge at the pool. Good security with locking gates and an electrical fence on the wall and an alarm system for the house. Just a great spot if you want to get on and off the beach fast and not be surrounded by lots of people yet be very close to some of the best restaurants in Guanacaste.

Our group of two families (4 adults, 4 kids) couldn't have asked for a better place to stay while in Costa Rica. The design, decor and space were all top notch (we felt like we living in a magazine) and the service from the management company was above and beyond. Kids and adults all loved the space and nearby beach club amenities. Highly recommend golf carts for transportation around the resort and to nearby restaurants. We felt super safe and spoiled the whole time. Thanks for a great stay and for taking such good care of us!

We had a wonderful time! The place was exactly as pictured, clean and had great views! The activities and pool were only a short walk. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping. I would absolutely recommend staying at Stephen’s place!

Three generations of our family (parents, children and grandchildren) spent 9 days in the Villa enjoying the pool, patio and roomy house. Our cleaner kept the house incredibly clean. The gardener did the same for the pool and yard. The well equipped kitchen had everything we required. The beach chairs and snorkelling equipment was put to good use. We can’t say enough about Ilse. She responded to our questions very effectively. We were very pleased to meet her in person when we arrived at the Villa on the first day and not just exchange texts as so often happens with Air BnB rentals. All in all, we enjoyed swimming or simply lazing in the yard. On other occasions we took day trips to several national park, beaches and zip lining. It was a relaxing holiday in a gorgeous setting. Father Rooster was the perfect setting to celebrate two birthdays. We recommend Villa Alicia for your home away from home.

We had an amazing stay this location! The condo was incredibly comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The location was perfect - close to restaurants and the beach. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

The place is very conveniently located, 12 minutes from playa avellanas and about 30 minutes from Tamarindo. The hosts are amazing and Gabriel, particularly, is super open to looking for the client to be comfortable…for example, after check-out we went to the beach. As we were filled with sand, we consulted him if he allowed us to use showers that were in the area of the Airbnb parking lot. Gabriel very kindly allowed us to use it, and even let us use the restrooms of the place before we went to San Jose again.

Great lodging here. The treehouse is charming and full of character. The surroundings are filled with nature and beautiful animals (including the separate and well-attended doggie rescue). This was a very pleasant retreat and I would return there if I was back in that side of Guanacaste. Also, the beaches are close from a driving perspective.
