Holiday houses in Périgord noir

Travelling from New Zealand to stay three nights in this stunning little French village we found Thierry’s medieval cottage delightful. It is spacious and comfortable. We put the kitchen to good use and enjoyed having the opportunity to explore the village in the cool of the morning and evenings when many day trippers had left. The views from the village are truly stunning, and the car parking card a real bonus. Couple of tips, the staircase to bedroom is small and steep. We left our suitcases downstairs, taking whatever required up to bedroom /bathroom area. We would also highly recommend a stop at the supermarket before coming up to the village to collect any basics you may require as once settled in and parked it is a long walk back down the hill if you need some milk. We would highly recommend Thierry’s place and a stay in Saint Criq, a real experience not to be missed. Thierry’s information re location and access are superb! Making the visit extremely easy.

holiday experience was great from start to finish very helpful hosts and set in a very scenic area which was close to the major attractions in the area whether you wanted to explore grottos or chateaus / castles or scenic towns all were within easy reach. welcomed and shown around the property and shown and explained all we needed to know , the use of bikes - bike path right next to property close to villages of les Eyzies and le Bugue 2 person kayak right next to river Vezere - very relaxing paddle on the river not to be missed out. pool area was great and heated with lovely gardens and lots of areas to sit with your morning coffee badminton net and rackets supplied your own barbecue area and every utensil for barbecue or kitchen was supplied first experience with air bnb and the hosts went above and beyond what we expected very pleased many thanks for having us David & Caroline

Serge’s place is amazing. We spent a lovely 10 days there in May and it was exactly what we were looking for. It’s walking distance into the village which has everything you need, and the place itself is clean, well appointed and in a beautiful setting with its own lake. Serge was so responsive and kind to us during the stay too - he went the extra mile to make sure we enjoyed ourselves!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Isabelle et Frank ! Le logement est impeccable, décoré avec goût et très bien équipé. il est également très bien placé dans le centre historique de Sarlat. On ressent leur envie de faire les choses bien et c'est une vraie réussite !!

An oasis of peace, set in a stunning corner of the Causses du Quercy in a charming hamlet with a lot of history. The accommodation has been lovingly restored to a very high standard by Simone & David who make sure their guests are very comfortable. Nice little touches on arrival, such as a welcome card and a bottle of wine, together with a few basic items are very thoughtful and always keep the guests in mind. The house is spotlessly clean and well equipped, the bed super comfortable with nice white crisp bed linen. Simone is a wonderful host, always available to help and answer any questions but also very respectful of your privacy. The pretty village of Labastide-Murat is within easy reach by car and has all you need including a brand new well stocked supermarket. We spent a wonderful few days at L’Annexe, exploring this beautiful area and relaxing on one of the two terraces in the evening while gazing at the amazing starry skies. One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve holidayed in!

Une parenthèse enchantée !!! Comment vous dire !! C est un paradis sur terre , Céline et Christel sont adorables. Une communication très facile et très agréable. Ils ont su faire un havre de paix qui vous emmène dans un univers hors du temps pour vous reposer . Tout est fait avec goût dans le moindre détail . C est encore plus beau que sur les photos. Et la terrasse est très agréable pour les repas et la détente. Si vous aimez la nature et la tranquillité , réservez vite . Encore un grand merci à vous pour se moment.

Notre séjour à Monfort a été extrèmement agréable. Quel bonheur de boire son café dans le jardin le matin face au château de Monfort. Certes le logement se trouve juste à coté de la route (donc si vous voulez du silence totale ce ne sera pas le cas) mais la vue et les environs font de ce logement un endroit tout à fait exceptionnel, ce qui en fait oublier ce petit désagrément. Morgane a été une hôte charmante et tout à fait à l'écoute. Nous recommandons vivement ce logement pour une pause hors du temps. Merci pour tout!

Vincent ist außerordentlich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus ist urig und gemütlich, absolut ruhig gelegen. Innen angenehm kühl auch bei hohen Außentemperaturen. Großes Grundstück mit Sonnenwiese und schattenspendenden Bäumen. Wohnen wie die Hobbits, natürlich ohne TV und WiFi. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
