Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Perry County

We really enjoyed our time at Shome on the Lake at Buckeye Lake. I wanted a quiet place with our own personal pool and hot tub for a relaxing vacation with my kids and it did not disappoint. Aaron was very kind and quickly responded to any inquiries. He did not hesitate to ensure we had everything needed to have a pleasant stay. We went catfishing nearby on the lake and caught many very nice sized fish. Pulled in two ginormous catfish right off the dock of the BNB but unfortunately they snapped the line before we got them all the way out of the water. The little cove where the house sits is perfect for kayaking. Considering that for our next trip! We had such a fun time and will certainly be back. Thank you Aaron for all you did for us while on our trip. We sincerely appreciate you!

Jacob’s place was very pleasant to stay at. Our family of 6 had plenty of space inside the house and around the property to relax and enjoy the peaceful hocking area. The hot tub was very relaxing and the fire pit made for a great night of relaxation outdoors! Overall my family loved this space and would definitely book again!!!

Me and my family had the best time in Corning. The location is just as describe. Jason and JJ were very accommodating and responded promptly if we had questions. We look forward to going back.

It was easy to find but you are actually in the basement of a house built on a hill. I don’t think that shows in the listing. The people above you actually live there. They greeted us and were both lovely. I didn’t realize it was really one big room. Also, it is much more rustic than it looks in the photos. The porch with the hot tub, table, swing and glider was very nice as it looked out on the big field and woods. Bre and Peter were very quick at getting back to me if I had a question. I did not like having to go through a second app though. I’d rather do everything just through Airbnb.

Scott’s place is exactly as described, small yet comfortable. The yard area is very relaxing and inviting. We saw quite a a few wildlife in the area even spotting a white tail deer near the property. Scott is very responsive and friendly.

This was a great little spot for our visit to Hocking Hills. It was far enough out of town to be more peaceful, but still close enough to Door Dash some food when needed! The house was quaint and cozy. My toddler enjoyed the toys.

This place was amazing. Clean, quiet and if you forgot something don’t worry there is probably one there. It is so peaceful and close to so much to do.

The place really is a gem. Doug obviously enjoys the property himself, and is excited to share it with others who can appreciate the quiet and peaceful countryside, as well as the "smalltown America" surroundings where history is appreciated and things can slow down. He puts a great deal of attention to all the details, from the tasteful, history-themed decorations, to the botanical beauty of the yard and vases, to the comfort of the cabin and the many amenities the cabin has to offer. Doug was always attentive and spends his time continuing to improve the property and adjacent sapces. My wife and I stayed there alone, but we would gladly return with our kids in the future. I actually hope that leaving such a good review doesn't hurt my chances of being able to book a return visit...

Nice place.

Spacious enough for one or two people. I usually stay far away from anyone, but being behind their house really wasn't an issue. 20 minutes outside Athens. Check out the nearby rural grocery store, which still has a non-electronic gas pump!

My husband and I stayed at Idyll Reserve 5 (The North) for two nights in January and had a fabulous stay! 🌲❄️ The cabin was thoughtfully designed, tastefully decorated, and very spacious for the two of us (& could accommodate a small family easily). It had all the amenities you’d need for a cozy stay — spacious, fully-stocked kitchen (with coffee & espresso maker! ☕️), comfy couch, living room with large windows & beautiful views of the surrounding woods, walk-in double shower & soaking tub, and our personal favorites — the outdoor hot tub and sauna! Laura was extremely responsive and communication regarding check-in was the best I’ve had with an Airbnb host. We could have easily stayed several more days. Hocking Hills State Park is just a ~10 minute drive away (we did some gorgeous hiking to Ash Cave, Old Man’s Cave, and Cedar Falls all within a half day). We’re already planning our next trip back with our kids! 🥰

I would highly recommend this to anyone! This place was phenomenal and quiet and peaceful. Christine and Matt went beyond what anyone would expect. A lot of extra’s that you would not expect, like smores for the fire out back, snacks and drinks, a cheesecake, tooth paste, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Extremely clean, extra blankets, pillows, robes, many towels, this place is extra clean, quiet. There is a hot tub, and a fire pit for the relaxing evenings. We will return without hesitation. Thank you Matt and Christine you two are the best, and very appreciated more than you know. Thank you again.

Loved my stay here. From the outside nature sounds and views to the quaint interior, this place was just what I needed for my stay. Jimm and Kerry were amazing host, very responsive and accommodating. Whenever I am back in the area, I will definitely return to this gem.

Exactly as presented on-site. The space was very comfortable immediately. Spotlessly clean, comfortable sofa, nice kitchenette area, and cozy sleeping area. Great place to stay!

We loved our time here! We enjoyed walking the beautiful property, seeing all of the flowers and gardens Natalie is growing, sitting by the pond and visiting the animals. We look forward to coming back again!

Jennifer’s place was wonderful! Her and Dick were very hospitable. My husband and I traveled from out of state to celebrate my brother’s 60th birthday. They allowed him and my daughter and her 2 kids to meet there and enjoy their beautiful outside tranquility garden and they even built us a fire in the fire pit. They had popsicles and toys for the kids as well. They went above and beyond to make our time there enjoyable. I would highly recommend their Airbnb. A very enjoyable stay and some wonderful memories were made!

Overall, the place was beautiful and decorated so nicely. I have nothing bad to say other than we didn’t get a resolution or consistent communication about the gas fire pit not working.

Joe’s cabin “The Pioneer” was an excellent stay! The cabin itself is gorgeous, homey, and very clean. The hot tub, grill, and gas fire place were great amenities he provided. The cabin itself is very private so it’s nice if you want a true getaway. It’s also a great place to stay if you’re looking to hike at the Hocking Hills state park, cheaper and still within a reasonable distance.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The views both day and night were incredible! The silence was amazing to help us relax and disconnect from society for a bit! The hot tub was amazing after a long day! Plus Logan is short drive away for food! This was a perfect base camp for our adventures in Hocking Hills State Park! Our baby boy enjoyed his stay too! The snacks were a plus as well!!

Loved our stay here for a girls weekend! We took all Michelle’s recommendations and had a wonderful time. The house was beyond clean, so spacious, and so beautiful. The photos really do not do it justice. We just wish we had booked longer! Already talking about when we will be back!

We visited this cabin for a pre-wedding weekend, and we loved it! It was private, but close enough to Logan if we needed something. The property is beautiful, we even saw some wildlife. Beds were cozy, the home has a. spacious main bathroom, and was very clean when we arrived. Exceeded expectations and was very affordable. If I go to HH with a large group again, I would strongly consider staying here!

The cabin was very well kept and had great space for our group of four adults and two little kids. It was on the safe side for a crawling baby, so that was a plus! One of the bedrooms was on the smaller side and was tight with our pack n play. The basement was a nice space to have on rainy days. It was a 5-10 minute hike down to the pond. Our group enjoyed fishing in the pond! Overall, it was a wonderful spot!

Was an amazing location to stay, the place was clean and beautiful! We loved the layout and having the hot tub screened in with the game room, as well as the fire pit in the middle. They really thought it out when creating a space for multiple people.

I’m VERY particular when it comes to the expectation of CLEAN. Sage Creek is pet friendly, however, there wasn’t a hair in site!!! Anywhere ! The bedrooms are large & the primary upstairs with an en-suite (attached full bath) is huge w/cathedral ceilings The beds, linen,& pillows were so comfortable & even the blackout curtains, beautiful fabric down to the soft towels. I’m also particular about my soap, so I always bring my own. I could have left that at home . Sage Creek provides soap in the pump on the shower walls & it felt amazing on my skin. There’s also shampoo, I didn’t use that. I had a huge spread in the kitchen at all times and they had everything we needed . We played corn hole in the front yard & had a blast, we grilled & used the hot tub & fire pit. We had 4 in our group, which was very TIGHT in the living room.. 6 people would have to sit straight up! No one would be able to lay down ! Friendly reminder, bring a bag of ice, flea & tic spray 4/dogs & repellent for U!
