Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Pine Mountain Lake

Excellent stay in a clean, well-equipped home We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—the place was spotless, and the kitchen had everything we needed. One minor quibble: the coffee maker was tiny and could only brew two cups at a time, which was a bit inconvenient for our group. The location is fantastic—just about an hour’s drive to Yosemite National Park, making it an ideal base for exploring. The community was undergoing construction, and some roads were closed during our visit. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes to enter and pay the $50 entrance fee, which was frustrating. It’s worth asking the host for an update on access or checking ahead before booking.

We had a wonderful time! Beautiful cabin! Our family of 7 were very comfortable! From the time that I booked, the communication was great. the home was as described. peaceful, quiet and beautiful setting. My granddaughter and I named the wild turkeys, deer , hummingbirds and lizards that we saw!The kids had an amazing time in the loft, and I thoroughly enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Convenient to the lake, swimming pool and little town of Groveland, about a one hour drive to Yosemite Valley. I highly recommend Jeff and Gina's home!

We had an amazing stay in this lovely home. The entire home was spotless, the running water was warm, and the property was peaceful. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to get away.

it was a wonderful stay for me and my 8 other guests. Beautiful views and great area to relax either on the deck or outdoors at one of their 4 lake spots. house was very comfortable with lots of space and plenty of games to keep us occupied. Overall great choice.

Loved this stay for our trip to Yosemite! My family and I would leave in the mornings to go explore Yosemite which was an hour drive, not too bad! The kids LOVED the game room and gave them their own space to hang out. Definitely recommend this place!

Just absolutely wonderful and exactly like the photos. A real sense of just being in a beautiful and beautifully designed space full of perfect touches. I stayed a month and was very sad to leave! Aria was a great host and go-between with the rather draconian guardians of the gated community (every delivery has to be individually called in and you need a weekly pass to drive through the gate). Being a mile from the lake was wonderful as was the drive up the mountain. And of course you are close to Yosemite. Could not recommend it more highly.

Tracey is a great host and she is very responsive. We enjoyed our time at her place. There are plenty space for family/friends playing board games and watch videos together. It's a perfect family friendly house. Hot tub in the back yard is amazing. Definitely recommended.

Great location for a week in Sonora! Only wish was if there was access without so many stairs. This is an older structure and the design is common to Sonora. We just called it cardio and still had a great trip!

We had such a great stay here! The Airbnb was very clean, tidy, cozy and exactly what we had in mind when searching for a luxurious forest cabin. We especially loved the fireplace and the huge terrace. Alexey was a great host - always responded fast, had clear instructions and checked in a few times with us if everything is in order. We would 100% recommend staying here when visiting Yosemite!

A great base to explore Yosemite - Mariposa is a cute and walkable town with everything you need (gas station, shops, restaurants). The apartment is nicely decorated with comfortable bed and a well-equipped kitchen. Very easy and safe parking.

Had a wonderful stay! Cute and cozy apartment. Exactly what we needed for a trip centered around hiking and fishing in Yosemite. Easy to walk around the corner to restaurants and shops. Drive into Yosemite was a little over an hour from here. Would stay again!

Tom's Alpine Escape in Yosemite West was amazing! It was exactly as described/pictured and so much more! The instructions for finding it were great, it was a perfect location for getting to all of the Yosemite sites, and Tom has literally thought of everything you need. Check in and out were easy and Tom gave us a warm welcome on our arrival. Plus there were great personal touches like the bottle of wine and the cookie dough in the fridge which he left for us to enjoy! Cooking in the kitchen was a dream, the place was spotless, and everything was very comfortable and well thought out. The wifi was fast and great to have as was the AC with the heat. We highly recommend Tom's place and look forward to staying again, hopefully soon.

The rental property was in a great location - close to the yosemite valley as well as wawona sights. Our stay was terrific. While we could hear the footsteps of the renters above, we never heard their voices or any other sounds. My biggest caution, which has nothing to do with the rental property but more to do with the road management, were the potholes on the road from Wowona road getting to the property. We hit several potholes at night and one of them blew our tire out. Again, this is NOT a refletion on the property, which was incredible and perfect for us, but it's more a caution for anyone who will be driving on those roads until they repair them. This rental property and our stay was perfect!

This place is beautiful, peaceful, and so much fun. It was a great place to stay with our family. We loved the pool and the pickleball court. It was also very convenient to drive to Yosemite. Thank you Bruce for being a great host!

We absolutely LOVED this place & will definitely book again. Directions were right on point. The views were amazing, mother nature surrounded us and it was so relaxing. Comfy beds & the kitchen views made cooking and spending time in the kitchen all that much more fun. We brought our cornhole set up but Henry's 49er cornhole boards were in the back! Had coffee out in the back every morning to catch the beautiful sunrise over the lake and mountains. Can't say enough great things about this place. We loved our stay here—the home is just as charming as the photos, spotlessly clean, and stocked with all the essentials. The host’s communication was prompt and thoughtful, making check‑in a breeze. The location put us close to everything we wanted to explore, yet still felt peaceful. And the sport court turned out to be the perfect bonus for some friendly competition after a day out. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in nature – spotting deer, birds, and other wildlife was a daily delight. The cozy jacuzzi under the cold Mariposa night sky was pure bliss. The house itself is a dream — spacious, immaculately maintained, and stocked with all the essentials. The master bedroom was hands down the highlight, and the beds throughout the home were incredibly comfortable. We spent our evenings enjoying the home theatre, bonding around the warm indoor fireplace, and relaxing near the outdoor fireplace by the lake — it was surreal. And let’s not forget our adorable cat companions, who truly made us feel at home. This place was the perfect blend of comfort, nature, and family time. If we could give it 10 stars, we would. Highly recommended if you are looking for jungle vibes and peace from city life!

This house is absolutely gorgeous. It was very spacious and had all the right amenities. The pool table and ping pong table were a big hit with our group. All the rooms were spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Ashish himself was also very responsive and respectful. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Shanks’ Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this property was designed with families in mind. The lodge itself is spacious, beautifully maintained, and impeccably clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals with ease. Sahari Lodge is an incredible house in a surreal setting. The house has so much to offer, the game room and movie theatre along with the spacious loft were favorite hangouts for the kids. The house was very clean and the owners did a great job of providing everything we needed for the stay. We spent a day at Yosemite and Bass Lake. Overall, this is an incredible property, with great views of the Sierras from every room. We would love to come back again!
