Smoking-friendly holiday rentals in Polk County

Chris’ place appeared great from the pictures, location and descriptions. Once we arrived and discovered how close it was to the local businesses, it was perfect. Glad I choose Chris’ place and will definitely request another stay the next time in Des Moines. Perfect fit!!!

We enjoyed our weekend at Hudson Acreage. Comfortable beds. Clean bathroom. Felt right at home. Our granddaughter loved feeding the horses and goats and petting the dogs. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

This home was a great place to stay. The place had everything we needed and more… the kitchen was full of appliances, extra bathroom supplies and so much more. I would definitely stay here again when I come to town. She was also very responsive, always answered in a timely manner which is very helpful.

We stayed for 2 weeks while visiting family in the US. Although a little tired we had everything we needed and we were quite comfortable. We were in walking distance of family and found it a lovely quiet area.

This place gave me a hug when I needed it. It is an old place that could do with some tlc but it’s in a great area and felt comfortable immediately.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The unit was very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything that we could possibly need. We are already planning another trip to see the tulips in Pella, and will definitely stay here again!

I’ve been on Airbnb for 10 years now and this is the best place I’ve ever stayed in. Additionally it may be the grandest house I’ve ever been in in my life for any reason. Just stay here. It’s beautiful, wonderful great great kitchen, washer and dryer super amazing neighborhood. It looks like you’re in the grandest neighborhood in the grandest city anywhere. Close to everything. I cannot recommend this highly enough. 10 stars out of a five star rating. Thank you. I will stay here on all my future trips to Des Moines.

Amazing host. Cherish wasn’t at the place with me but was very communicative over the app about who might be coming to the house or staying there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in DSM. I would stay here again!

I stayed here previously November 2024 and there's not much more to add onto my previous review. It's a beautiful house in a very pleasant neighborhood. Previously I was fortunate to have the house to myself, this time I had to share for a portion of my stay and thankfully the woman in the other room was nice and not at all disruptive. Having stayed at other places in Des Moines, one thing I can't help but appreciate about this place is how close by a lot of good restaurants on Ingersoll are. Close enough you can walk to and without fear of something bad happening. No issues with Wi-Fi, remote working or anything like that. The desk was unavailable as the other guest called dibs on it, but I found it more comfortable to sit in the leather recliner anyway and ultimately chose not to use the desk even when it was available.
