Family-friendly holiday rentals in Province of Viterbo

This was the finest AirBNB home that we've ever stayed in. Every room was immaculate, the views were incredible (private and among vineyards, you can see for miles), every appliance and fixture seemed new. Everything was anticipated to make the stay perfect.....a refrigerator, bathroom and shower at the beautiful pool, pool towels in each bedroom, etc. As soon as you walk into this house, you are going to go "wow", and for good reason. Francesca came and cooked us a delicious local dinner and did some light grocery shopping for us.....all for an unreasonably LOW fee. We had another chef team come in on another night. We also visited a local winery where we had a fantastic, private wine tasting tour and lunch (Tenuta Vitalonga) and followed that up with touring Orvieto and having dinner at a very unique restaurant (Le Grotte del Funaro). Make sure you have a car or are using a bus/limo service for your transportation, nothing is walkable from this beautiful private house.

Cala and Patrizias house is truly a hidden gem. It is an ideal location for a group trip/big family trip, as the spacious house has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge groups, dining areas to seat many people, etc. We felt so safe and taken care of, as Patrizia responded quickly to all our questions and needs, and the caretaker Mario helped us with heating and so on upon request. I really hope I can return here some time, the surroundings were just so peaceful and beautiful, as are the house. We had dinner at the local restaurant (about 7-10 minutes walk) in the tiny village the house is located by one evening, which we recommend. A drink at Willy's bar afterwards should be mandatory. We can not recommend hiring chef Samulele (ask Patrizia to send his brochure) enough. He and his souz chef Katia made an amazing Italian dinner with wine-pairing at the villa. He also organized a trip to a local winery for us which was just perfect!

A lovely property in a beautiful area. Sabrina and Antonio were really attentive and kind. Easily accessible by text and also prompt in coming round to solve a problem. Having 3 separate apartments worked well for the extended family and the ground floor was large enough for us to dine together. There are lots of places to visit including many beautiful hill top medieval towns. Antonio and Sabrina were very kind gifting some local Est Est Est wine and a cake for our special birthday. Little unexpected touches like these helped to make it a memorable stay. The weather was not on our side in the middle of April, rain and mist on several days, so it would have been nice to have somewhere inside for us to sit and relax together. A few comfy sofas would have been appreciated by older members of our group. You will not be disappointed with your stay here, no matter the weather!

We loved our stay at this cute cottage with beautiful views! We were kindly welcomed by Michele's sister. We got some fun tips to do in the area. The parents, who live in the yard, were ( just like the sister) very friendly, cheerful and helpful. They even washed clothes for us. Beds sleep well. All necessary items are provided. We would highly recommend Michele's property.

Beautiful apartment, as pictured. Located in a very recent complex of houses that create almost a small village. Although it is located (which can be a plus for those looking for tranquility) a few kilometers away there is a small center with everything you need. Friendly and helpful host, recommended.

If you stay here, you will find yourself in a painting, so beautiful is this cottage located in the mountains! Lucca is really super nice and funny. He tells a lot. The restaurant they run is fine too, and good food! The breakfast is very good. We definitely recommend this cottage!

Fantastic abode hidden below the village of Saturnia. The property is fantastic, and has sunshine all day beating down on the garden and pool area. The house has everything you'd need, well kitted out kitchen, and all bedrooms are en-suite. AC worked well, so good sleeping wasn't lacking. The outdoor grill area and living room were also great, especially at night while watching the stars and listening to the nature all around. And for our group, which included 5 kids and a couple of digital nomads, the wi-fi kept up to keep everyone satisfied. I'd stay again in a heartbeat and look forward to being back in Saturnia.

House well beyond expectations, very quiet area, surrounded by very kind people. The house itself is much better than in the photos,very bright, the kitchen offers all the comforts you may need, the dining area comfortable and spacious, the spacious bedrooms, comfortable and well organized bathrooms. The whole house is well cleaned and with the addition of accessories such as soap, washing machine, cleaning material, which make the welcome at home. Raffaella is beautiful, very kind, ready to help and advise, immediately responsive in her responses and to meet everyone's needs. Let's not forget the beautiful terrace and the large garden equipped with a large pool that I had the pleasure of being able to try. Fastello is a small frazione close to many areas of culture and Montegrotto that offers everything. Also the bus stop is a few steps away. Staying here was a real pleasure.

Annarita and her house were amazing! She was so kind, friendly and super helpful. We needed instructions on how to get to the train station and not only did she tell us where to meet the bus and when, she walked us to the store to purchase the tickets and then to the bus stop so we knew exactly where to go. The house was spotless and exactly as it looks in the pictures. There was a grocery store, a bakery, and a fruit and vegetable market all within a 10 minute walk of her house. We walked back to the house from the old town (Orvieto Duomo) in about 30 minutes. Obviously it would take longer if you were to walk up to the old town due to the hills. Also, there were tons of free parking spaces right outside the house. If we are ever back in this area, we would love to stay at Annarita's again!

A wonderful place, secluded, perfect for those who want to be quiet. The garden in front of the house has sun loungers, a pergola with chairs and tables is a marvel with direct views of the lake. Eating outdoors during the sunset on Lake Bolsena was wonderful. A place I recommend to all couples who want some privacy. Not very suitable for families with small children. Convenient location to visit Viterbo, Orvieto and all the beauty of the surroundings. Hello, the managers who immediately responded to any of our questions and requests. Thank you very much to Luciana and Vittoria. A place we'd love to come back to.

Amazing old country house with a beautiful Olive Garden in the middle of nature. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful.

Vittorio’s place was incredible. Easy to find. He was responsive. An amazing stay overall. Very happy we were able to stay here and found their little town. Thank you so much for having us.

Daniela was very kind and very helpful as well as being a serious and professional host. The apartment is clean, well furnished and well equipped with everything you need. The location is perfect for reaching the main attractions of the area, which are really many. A special mention should be made of the outdoor area, which is very well equipped and ideal for an afternoon nap after returning from the visits. We would like to thank Daniela again for her exquisite hospitality in the hope of being able to return soon to visit these beautiful places.

Fiorella was very kind in welcoming us and telling us the history of her home. Very clean apartment equipped with every comfort, recommended to visit the sights nearby!

We loved our stay in Sara's rustic farmhouse cottage with its glorious views across the valley, little hill towns on the other side and a beautiful scenic drive across to Orvieto on one side (about 1 hour) and Todi on the other. The pool was heavenly. We only had swimming weather for the first week but we were in every day. When the mornings were cold, I also enjoyed sitting by the pool in the morning sun, reading and drinking my coffee. The garden is also beautiful and very quiet. It was so peaceful here - and what a dream to have the pool to ourselves. Sara lives in the other half of the house with Simone, her partner, and Eugene, the dog - but we never saw them (they have their own entrance) except when they were cleaning the pool. The house is full of art and ceramics, some of which are Sara's own, and we even had lunch in Todi at Simone's restaurant. Yes, the road is rough, but so are all roads in Umbria. We have a mini and the road was not a problem.

What a fabulous place - if you want to escape from it all, this is the place to come! Love the private pool too! Air conditioning in the bedroom was very good and appreciated. Olga and Max were very accommodating and answered questions very quickly. Maybe consider installing a BBQ outside the house otherwise could not fault it and we cannot wait to return!

Such a wonderful place to stay with our family! The property is spectacular, with all of the amenities one might need and lots of charm. Andrea is an exemplary host. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful house, its' privacy, amazing landscape, comfortable swimming pool, and the warm hospitality.

From the moment we arrived we felt at home and looked after. Luciana was incredibly helpful with where to shop and where to find things in Viterbo. From day one we were treated amazingly, snacks, milk, juice on arrival. Every day thereafter a variety of cakes, freshly laid eggs, coffee when they were having one !! Despite the language barrier nothing was to much trouble. The apartment was incredibly spacious with everything you needed and a lovely outdoor space with table, chairs and swing seat. So peaceful despite being just off the main road into town. Thankyou so much Luciana and Mauro you were amazing, we can't recommend this place highly enough!

Simply amazing farmhouse, even more beautiful in real life than in the photos. Orietta is very kind and available in all our requests,she did everything to make us find the pool active, despite the uncertain weather, we used it throughout the stay! Very well-kept outdoor spaces, comfortable and spacious rooms, if I may give a tip I would suggest changing really uncomfortable pillows and mattresses and pay more attention to the cleanliness of really inaccurate rooms and bathrooms. Cmq highly recommend!!!

My husband and I stayed two nights in the Chestnut Dryer of the Podere di Maggio. What can I say? A real paradise: nestled in a wonderful valley with Mount Amiata in front of it and the beautiful medieval village of Santa Fiora. We could not ask for more: wonderful structure, well cared for, in detail, priceless peace. The hosts were great, hospitable, and really made us feel at home. In short, everything is perfect, nothing is missing, of course you have to love bucolic life like us ! The only downside? Two nights were too short and we'll definitely be back . Great place, to keep in favor. Quiet accommodation, well equipped (kitchen, bathroom, shower towels, no microwave), clean and spawning despite the outdoor heat. Very nice and warm host and above all very helpful. And the pool and just great, quiet and well arranged and very clean with plenty of sunbed for everyone (lack of toilet). With our two children (6 and 2 years old) it was just perfect, crib, high chair. Nothing to say. And sharing the pool is an opportunity to meet new people, adults and children, everyone and very nice. Perfect.

Very nice and quiet place to stay, perfect for families. The pool was great, the house large enough for 4 adults + toddler, everything very clean, very well equipped kitchen. The pizzeria in the village is very good, the other larger places are a bit far away. All in all, a beautiful place to stay
