Beachfront holiday rental in Redwoods

100 year old cabins that have been updated. My cabin had an all new shower! Very comfy bed that seemed brand new. Everything very clean. Beautiful spot in the Feather River Canyon. Quiet except when the trains roll through up the hill— it used to be an active depot. No whistle blowing, but you can hear the rhythm of the rails. Bear in mind that this is 1920s glamping vibes. So if you prefer the Hilton in 2025, you’re not going to like it. But if you love updated old school charm, you’ll love this place. No television (what a relief) and they ask you not to overuse the internet, but plenty of outdoor activities and games, and a private beach on the river. It would be great for a family, or weekend getaway. Thanks to Doug for welcoming me and then letting me have my privacy!

We loved the Sea Escape! It was much more than we imagined, and loved the big grassy area for our dogs to run and play and the beautiful overlook and steps down to the gorgeous, semi private beach! We will definitely recommend to others and come back on our next trip to the nor Cal beaches!

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely studio in Eureka! My husband and I felt completely safe and comfortable throughout our visit. The accommodations were excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped—making it an ideal base for exploring the nearby Redwood Forest. We also loved trying Gill’s By The Bay, a charming local seafood restaurant just a short drive away, where the fresh food and bay views made for a memorable meal. Plus, the studio’s easy on and off access to Highway 101 made getting around the area hassle-free. We highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Eureka! The sound machine was a thoughtful touch that helped us unwind, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—just what we needed after long days exploring the Redwoods. The peaceful location, nearby beach sunsets, and hospitality made our trip truly special. We would definitely love to stay here again!

This place was perfect for my family. It was very clean, and we were very pleasantly surprised by how amazing the view was from the room. The large windows had more than an 180 degree view of the ocean. The sunset from our room was beautiful! The kitchen appliances were great and the room was open and spacious. We would live to come back and stay longer next time.

Beautiful location overlooking the beach and ocean, with a covered outdoor space that is wonderful for watching nature in action. Bring binoculars to look for whales. The kitchen is very well stocked with utensils and kitchen tools, and the house has an extensive collection of vinyl records. Overall a very comfortable place to hang out for a while and take in the sea and air.

We had a wonderful stay at Alessandra’s house. The views were absolutely stunning and made our mornings and evenings extra special. The home was spotless and clearly well cared for, which made us feel comfortable right away. Alessandra was an excellent host—her communication was prompt, clear, and helpful throughout our stay. Everything we needed was easy to find, and the entire experience was smooth and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful home just 10 minutes from Sea Glass Beach and DT Fort Bragg. Very clean, easy to access and all amenities as described. I got the access instructions the night before which was great so we could get in right away. Lots of space for the 4 of us that stayed there. I would stay here again

Super cute/clean little beach cabin just as described. Easy to find and get in, host is very nice. I didn’t realize just how close the beach would be but it’s such easy access, about a minute walk. You’re right on the beach and can hear the waves from cabin :) Perfect get away for my family of 5 (husband, toddler and two teens). There really isn’t room for a pack n play in the main bedroom but we had no issues sleeping with my toddler in the king size bed. The beds were super comfortable! Enclosed deck was great, super cute decor + fully stocked kitchen. Highly recommend!!

What a treat! Taking a bath in the Redwoods was surreal! The dome was comfy and the heated blankets and fire kept me warm. The sauna was very relaxing and the property is just adorable and a place to check out from the rat race of society. I only wish I had more time. So much to do and see around the area! Many hikes and beautiful scenery at every turn. I would print out your instructions before you go. My cell didn't have service. There is also a small grocery nearby if you need anything. You are very close to the ocean also for a great sunset!

Erica was very responsive and provided great instructions. There are other homes around but this property has a privacy fence all of the way around and a gate that opens with code or remote. The home was beautifully decorated and exactly like the photos. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub is well maintained and very nice. The walk to the beach was not far but keep in mind that some of the walk across the sand dunes and through the wooded area might be challenging for anyone with health concerns or balance issues. This not a high traffic beach but is beautiful because of the seclusion and is a great place to watch the sunset. Overall recommend this property if staying in the area.

The whale song house was even better than in the pictures. It was close to great restaurants, wonderful beaches and was fully equipped with anything needed for a great stay. The extra touches, like coffee left for guests, was a wonderful surprise. The host was very responsive, communicative, and excellent to work with. I highly recommend this Airbnb and hope to stay here again in the future!!

Great location, ocean view from the deck to enjoy a glass of local wine. Very friendly and responsive hosts. The neighborhood is so quiet that you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean crashing into the rocks. The house was clean and well equipped. Abundant wildlife roaming the streets. We really enjoyed our stay in a hidden gem of Shelter Cove.

Stayed with my wife. Weather was chilly with fog and marine layer in late evening/morning. The highlights: The driveway looks like it leads to a house and garage but forks around it. Keep going until it ends! • View/ambiance was outstanding! Great from the patio or couch, perfect sunset views! • Walking to the beach entails a somewhat sketchy staircase and crossing a small lake. If you’re adventurous, you’ll be fine (a Kayak is available). Otherwise, that view tho… • Bathroom was great (even for two) and towels provided. But, Bring soap! • Bed was comfortable, bedding kept us toasty despite the chilly night. Room can be made dark which was great! • Kitchen - unsure, we opted to bring/reheat food. Turned out we could have cooked though! •Plenty of wifi on site, easy access to the room (no hassle on check-in). •Morning coffee, from the patio, watching the waves, under a blanket: Bliss! A bit pricey but definitely worth the splurge! Thank you, Bruce!

Exceptional location, and gated access made us feel very secure. The windows were a little hazy, but the view is stunning. A beautiful, well-cultivated walk leads down to an absolutely perfect private-access beach. Linens and towels were fluffy, good quality, and very clean. The whole property was clean and well-appointed. Nice coffee options. There are three parking spots directly in front of the unit, and we always found at least one open, which made for super convenient loading and unloading of luggage. No stairs. The highway is close enough that it was obvious when heavy vehicles went by, but it never bothered us. Didn't hear road noise at night, and the highway proximity just means that town/shops/restaurants are easily accessible. Apart from that little bit of daytime road noise, the property was very quiet and peaceful. Didn't hear any neighbors, and the ones we encountered outside were very nice. I would rent here again.

Some AirBnB places are duds, but this place was outstanding. We loved it! The location was as beautiful as we hoped, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We particularly loved the nightly visit from the neighborhood skunk who walked through the backyard every evening around sunset. We would stay here again if we’re in the area and would certainly recommend Sage’s place to friends or family. You can tell she’s put a lot of thought and love into her place.

this home is truly a slice of heaven, I’m in all that the owners share it! It has the most magnificent views and a beautiful decks and a little yard to take it all in from. The beds are incredibly comfortable with the softest sheets and the main living area feels like you’re in the harbor everywhere you go. Can’t recommend it enough!

One of our favorite spots!! Unfortunately it looks like the owners are not renting this out next year. Very sad.

We had such a wonderful time! It was our first time to the pacific coast, and with the most perfect magical gateway to the beach directly from the property. The neighborhood was quiet, the beach was so much fun and beautiful! Two cities to enjoy just a short drive away!

We had an amazing stay at this Airbnb! The location was perfect—close to downtown, shops, groceries, and an easy walk to Harris Beach. There were also lots of beautiful trails and stunning viewpoints nearby. The home itself was even better than expected. The ocean views from nearly every room were incredible. We loved the fully equipped kitchen, grilling on the ocean-facing deck, and enjoyed the pool table. There was also a poker table and various card and board games. TVs and Alexa devices were great bonuses. I particularly loved the stylish mid-century modern decor with tasteful Asian accents. It's clear the owner put a lot of care into preserving the charm of this 1940’s home, balancing sustainability and comfort beautifully. A big thanks to the hosts for making our stay so memorable. We wish we could've stayed longer and definitely hope to return. Highly recommend this place for a relaxing coastal getaway!

This home was exceptional for the 5 of us that vacationed. The view was amazing with the beautiful walkway to the beach with the wonderful sitting area halfway down the stone path. The guest house was awesome and we enjoyed the media room and loved the concession snacks that were available to us. Home was very clean and tidy! All the little touches from night lights, robes to comfy throws were so appreciated! Checking in and checking out was seamless with great communication with Claire!

This is an absolutely stunning lake side home that had every amenity for families to make treasured lifetime memories. My favorite was the huge picnic table on the deck where you could have dinner and watch the sunset over the lake. Rich, is the perfect host, so flexible and responsive with anything you might need. My parents, husband and I enjoyed day trips to Lassen, fishing literally from the backyard and the beautiful scenery that surrounds this home. Quiet and peaceful, it’s the perfect place to get away from the stress of everyday life. Many thanks for sharing your home with us, we will be back!

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay as a home base to the Redwoods, let us do you a favor — book this and search no further. Unbelievable ocean views, fantastic home, great community, close beaches and trails … you can’t beat it. Trinidad must be the best kept secret on the west coast.

Pacific Dreams is a great description. The house has unbelievable views up and down the coast with an amazing outdoor deck overlooking the ocean. Panoramic floor to ceiling windows in the living room provide a spectacular view of the ocean and sunset. Plenty of room and amenities and convenient to a lot of great Redwood hikes and restaurants in and around Trinidad and Arcata. The house is very well done and immaculate.
