Villa holiday rentals in Rethymno

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing villa and cannot recommend it enough. Maria was a fantastic host. She arranged our airport taxis and throughout our stay Maria was always on hand - we couldn’t ask for more. The villa was amazing and in an ideal location right on the beach. The pool area was excellent, private and peaceful. Maria also provided sunbeds on the beach where we enjoyed beautiful sunsets. There are many local tavernas within walking distance - we epecially recommend the Mareem & Finikas Tavernas. We also went to the old town one evening which cost 14 euros in a taxi and it’s well worth a visit as it’s really pretty with a great atmosphere. It is mainly pedestrian with lovely side streets to exlore and there is a real buzz in the evenings along the waterfront where there are great places to eat, or simply sit and people watch. Maria gave us a late check out at no extra cost which was so kind. We cannot recommend Maria and her villa enough and hope to return!

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

This is a BEAUTIFUL place - the pictures do not do it justice. The combined kitchen and living area is HUGE, and so is the pool and outdoor space. All the bedrooms have ensuites and are identical, and all have the same view and access to the terrace. It is spotless. The place is just at the edge of a really quaint beach town. It is super quiet and peaceful, and a 2 minute walk away from a bunch of bars and restaurants. Sofia herself is a WONDERFUL host. She’s kind, welcoming, and so responsive. Stay here - the value for money is excellent, and it’s a fantastic little town.

Fabulous stay. The apartment was as advertised and can't fault it. You do need a car as its removed from the nearest town. We will be back next year.

Das Haus besticht durch seine großen Fenster, die einen wunderschönen Blick auf das Meer ermöglichen.vor allen Fenstern verschiebbare Fliegengitter, sodass auch bei 40 Grad Außentemperatur ein gutes Raumklima herrschte.Ein Highlight war der Sternenhimmel, den wir auf der Matratze auf der Terrasse( unter sicherem Moskitonetz) genießen konnten.Federico hat uns jeden morgen mit frischen Eiern, Ziegenjoghurt sowie Honig und Olivenöl bestens versorgt. Der Umgang war ausgesprochen freundlich und seine Tipps waren ausgezeichnet. Insbesondere die Taverne Agios Georgios , ein bisschen individuell, flower power und mit hervorragender Küche werden wir vermissen.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est très agréable, conçue avec beaucoup de goût, dans un environnement très paisible (et à la fois très proche du centre ville), avec une vue incroyable. L’emplacement est idéal pour visiter l’ouest de l’île. Maria, l’hôte de la maison, est très agréable, disponible/ réactif. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison

Vagelis was a wonderful host. He directed us to a parking lot close to the villa. He met us and helped us with our bags. We loved the villa. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning was great. The villa is beautifully designed with great furnishings and a lovely, peaceful courtyard. We loved how it was in the heart of the old city, yet super peaceful. Would stay here again in the future, no question.

We, a family of 2 adults and to kids (age 7 and 9) spent a week in this beautiful villla and we had a wonderful holiday. The spacious, tastefully decorated villa had all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The outdoor space was a highlight, featuring a large terrace, sun loungers, a private pool, and a barbecue area, perfect for enjoying the sun, swimming and dining. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, responding quickly. They were also flexible with regards to arrival and departure, which we truly appreciated.

Wonderful Experience at the Villa Elias! Our stay at the villa was perfect. The sea view was breathtaking, especially during sunset – a true sense of calm, quiet, and complete privacy. Choosing this villa was an excellent decision, especially because of the heated pool, which the kids absolutely loved. They enjoyed both swimming and playing in the spacious garden. The villa is well-equipped, with many useful items that made our stay very comfortable, including an air pump for pool toys. The location is also great – close to shops, supermarkets, and pharmacies. מאד נהנינו בחופשה בבית זה הכל היה נקי ומסודר. הבריכה מדהימה והחצר מפנקת. המארחים מאד נחמדים ואדיבים. השירות היה יותר מן הכלל. היתה לנו בזכותם חופשה מושלמת. ממליצה מאד על הבית ומקווה לחזור להתארח בו.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

We loved staying at Petros's place. The location is picture perfect and completely serene, coupled with the stunning views - perfect getaway gem. The villa is beautifully designed with lots of places to explore and hang out in. Petros is very accommodating and all around helpful from assisting us in setting up the outdoor speakers to offering to make restaurant reservations on our behalf. We had an absolutely amazing time and hope to stay at the villa again when we come back to Crete. Highly recommend!

Fantastische villa met prachtig zwembad en uitzicht. Beneden bij de zee kun je mooi snorkelen en vissen bekijken dankzij het super heldere water. Wij en onze kinderen hebben er van genoten. Eerste dorp is 30 minuten rijden dus zorg voor voldoende boodschappen.

We stayed for 1 week (4adults and 4 kids) having been to Crete a number of times before. The villa was up in the hills (you need to hire a car to get anywhere and driving on the small lanes is not for the faint hearted) but this gave us the beautiful views over the bay and a lovely sea breeze. The house was immaculate with all the essentials and mod cons including chilled filtered water from the fridge. The ice machine didn’t work so one of the team popped around with a big bag of ice the next day which we used instead. We also experienced a sandstorm (happens about once a year) with Saharan sand being deposited on everything. The cleaners were around the next morning and the pool was cleaned beautifully. The pool itself was heated to a lovely temperature so the kids could enjoy it all day and the hot tub was even warmer so the perfect place to sit and enjoy drinks. We used the outdoor built in barbecue and sat outside for dinners (great views). Karolina was very responsive! Recommend!

Can’t say enough positive things about Anna and Costa’s villa. We had an amazing stay. The villa was clean, spacious and in excellent condition - just like the photos. The pool was fab. Anna & Costa’s local recommendations were great. The whole family enjoyed the trip - thank you so much!

Die Unterkunft war super und Laura hat sich um jeden Wunsch sofort gekümmert. Zudem war ein flexibler Check in bereits morgens ab 10 Uhr.

Et veldig bra sted med god standard for storfamilie på tur. Soverom med standard som på finere hoteller. Et veldig bra uteområdet med plass nok, helt privat. Deilige solsenger, sittegruppe og spisebord ute. Og eget basseng var topp. Velutstyrt hus og lurte vi på noe var det bare å spørre eier eller Etouria. Restauranter, strand og dagligvare i kort avstand og i tillegg ligger Rethymnon i kort avstand. Fint område for turgåing også. Kan veldig gjerne anbefale dette huset 6️⃣

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful villa for over a week! Amazing views and good facilities, not to mention the friendly and understanding hosts. The host dopped by the villa quite often, however, it did not bother us at all, he was very considerate and helpful. I would recommend this place, it's ideal for big groups!

Detta huset var fantastiskt! Och förstklassig service. Bilderna och verkligheten överensstämmer = magiskt!

Ett fantastiskt hus med underbar havsutsikt och alla bekvämligheter! Smakfullt inrett med bra kvalitet både inomhus och utomhus. Mycket privat läge utan insyn. Ljuvlig altan med pool, parasoller och utemöbler. Blev mottagna personligen i huset på utsatt tid och fick en rundvisning av huset och alla funktioner samt en korg med specialiteter från Kreta. Gångavstånd ca 5-10 min till Plakias med affärer och restauranger. Det enda vi hade önskat var några fler krokar att hänga kläder på.

this is a great Villa to stay at in central Crete that made it easy to branch off to many other areas of the island the best part was the Villa itself with its swimming pool and the views. great place to stay close to the small village of margarite. highly recommend it's got to be one of the best places to stay in all of Crete. Michalis was a great representing host.

This was our best stay ever with airbnb, and the most beautiful in Greece. The house exceeded our expectations. The locations is awesome. The house is comfortable, spacious, modern, spotless and beautiful. The open views to the ocean are breathtaking in addition to being high above in the mountains. He outdoor terraces aremazibgand the pool iswesome withazing views. This house can easily accomodate 6 persons. Parking is easy for two cars. The place feels secure and very private. We enjoyed the beautiful sunsets. Located between Rethymo and Chania we felt the location was perfect. We lived every detail provided to us. The hosts were great communicating with us, greeting us and providing all kinds of reccomendations to us. They greeted us with some very nice presents, foid and wine. If you plan to visit Crete this is the pkace to be. If you want an unforgetable stay this is the place to be! We lived every minute of our stay and there are not enough words to Thank our hosts!

Our stay at the Areal Villa was equisite. The house itself is fully fitted and housed us 10 very well. The rooms are nice and the outdoor space was fantastic. The location was also great, short walk to a nearby bakery, shop and butchers, and only a 5 min taxi ride into the city center. The host and his team were also very responsive and helpful giving recommendations on restaurants and shops that we requested. Overall our stay at the villa exeeded our expections, and we would defentently stay there again if we were travilling to Rethynmo in the future.

Wir durften eine Woche in dieser wunderbaren Villa verbringen. Alles war wie angegeben und funktionierte super. Der Aussenbereich war riesig und sehr gepflegt, das Pool liessen wir beheizen (dies wussten wir vor der Buchung noch nicht, dass es zusätzliche Kosten bedeutet), hat sich aber im Frühling gelohnt und wir konnten jeden Tag baden. Viele verschiedene Liege und Sitzmöglichkeiten, kleine „Aussenküche“ und auch Küche im Haus war super. Neue Schneidebretter wären schön, da diese kaum benutzbar waren. Der Weinkühler und der grosse Kühlschrank waren top! Die Zimmer sind schön und jeweils mit einem eigenen Badezimmer. Der Spielplatz war für unsere Mädchen das Highlight! Die Kommunikation war top und auch unser erster Einkauf wurde erledigt. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden und würden es jedem empfehlen. Gerne wieder:)
