Waterfront holiday rentals in Rethymno

Outstanding location, many place to eat and shop. It’s steps away from the beach and the roof top patio is spacious and beautiful. Lots of public transit but we chose to rent a car to enjoy the whole island. Would highly recommend this apartment. Host was very helpful.

Yorgo's place has very good location: is close 5-7 min to the beach, very close to Backarei, several supermarket, good taverna. This is not directly in Retimno, but very well accessible in 10 minutes by bus or 2 km with a nice walk along the promenade along the beach promenade with many restaurants. The apartment itself is spacious and well equipped(larger fridge, stove, dishwashing and washing machine,mosquito net in every window, air conditioning). This includes a balcony where you could sit in the evening and a small pool with lots of water toys. Yourgos and his daughter are also very nice people. Yourgos always responds quickly, gives good tips and even ended up giving us traditional Greek sweets. Thank you. We can recommend Yougos Appartament.

Wow! Artemis is such a thoughtful host. The property is peaceful and beautiful. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy Crete and the Mediterranean. Our apartment was cleaned every weekday; that was a bonus!

The apartment is compact but fine. It is a little against the hill, which is easily walkable ( so rising). The view over the bay never bores, is so beautiful! In the village there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants, enough to choose. A large part of the beach is a slowly sloping sandy beach. Really nice! Furthermore, a great base from which to see the surroundings.

Located right in the heart of old town Chania, can easily people watch and take in the sights and sounds of old town without having to leave your place. Perfect sunset views. Note: best place to reliably park for free overnight is “Chania town car park”, about a 10 min walk. May be easier in the off season; and harder in the peak. Overall the location can’t be beat.

Words can’t describe how incredible this home is. Every corner you looked there was a masterpiece to be found. Beautifully decorated is an understatement, this Airbnb was curated over years and years of living. It was nested in the heart of the town. I will 100% be coming back. We had a an amazing time of a family of four. I would only suggest making a book for guest with instructions on the T.V., A/C, Hot Water, and WiFi password. It would make it much easier for the guest so they do not bother the Host. Also a book so guest can write how their stay was and where they are traveling from. Overall we loved how close we were to everything and the beach is stunning. Lena was a super host:)

Great! Go for it! The accommodation: Wow! Clean, cozy, comfort. A magnificent terrace with a private jacuzzi that we enjoyed a lot and a breathtaking view of the small port. A kitchen with everything you need (fridge, dishes, cutlery, etc.). 2 beautiful bathrooms with everything you need (towels, products, etc.). Comfortable rooms. A living room with Netflix, for those who want to relax a little in the evening. The welcome: Wow! Harry was waiting for us with a smile, despite our delay (plane, car rental, the vagaries of travel🤣). On site a lot of things to start our vacation well: fruit, cold cuts, bread, water, coke and lunch (jams, honey, coffee...) The big plus: Thanks to Harry for his good advice (places to visit, restaurants, taverns, beaches...) and his constant availability and speed to respond during our stay. The place: Very nice port, a little noisy and lively in the evening. A good start to travel.

Great holiday home in a quiet and secluded location. Excellent and flexible host and very friendly owners. The outdoor area and pool are even better than on the pictures! Welcoming dinner on our arrival :-)

We had a great time in this beautiful house, everything was spotless, very clean, super equipped and very functional, the pool was usually welcome to cool off under the Cretan sun - In addition Karolina graciously offered us an adorable gift of different Cretan artisanal products a real treat thank you very much, Karolina is very responsive and very efficient Everything was perfect 10 out of 10 if we come back to Cretes, we are sure to come back to Karolina's place Zahra Emma and Jean-Pierre

We spent 8 days in Fani's accommodation. The apartment is very modernly furnished and clean. It has everything a self-catering holiday needs. We were able to wash laundry, had all sorts of kitchen utensils and a great terrace where you could enjoy the view of the sea. The place itself offers everything you need. There are many restaurants and bars, a small supermarket, an ATM and much more. The loungers + parasol on the beach cost a total of €10 per day, if someone comes to settle the bill. We had a rental car to explore the area. Crete is huge and it takes time to get to certain places. For the start, Fani left us water, fresh fruit and small snacks. It was a great stay. Thank you ☺️

Easy to explore the old town. Located on the quieter side of the Venetian port. Services nearby. Too soft a bed in my opinion, but it's just a matter of sleeping.

The villa is lovely and has everything you need for a holiday. Clean and well maintained. There was extra cleaning during the week. Great view of the sea and the mountains. The cars passing on the main road, which is 100m below the villa, create a slight noise, but it is not unbearable. Maria is a great host and despite the late evening time of arrival she was waiting for us with a smile. She took care of us all the time and gave us valuable advice. There was a problem with the dishwasher, which was fixed the next day as soon as I informed Maria. We had a great week and would come back again.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

We had a great time at Fotis and Amalia’s place. Definitely one of the cleanest places we’ve stayed! The location was perfect as we like to stay just outside of the hustle and bustle but close enough so we can dip in and out with ease. There’s plenty of bakeries, restaurants and supermarkets around. The views are just outstanding and we ended up getting food a few times to eat at home as we enjoyed to look at the sea from the house. It was also easy to cook, there’s plenty of utensils if you wish to prep a meal in. The bed was really comfortable, as I’m 7 months pregnant asked if we could have a couple of extra pillows and this was ready for our arrival. We were pleasantly surprised with the amount of groceries we had available at the house too! Fresh fruit (we loved making our own fresh orange juice in the morning!), bread, butter and many other snacks! Fotis was also great at recommending places to visit like beaches, restaurants and museums. We 100% recommend this place!

We stayed at Nikos's place from 10/6-10/12. The sea view was great. In the evening we heard the sea rushing. 2 minutes to the beach. The water was clear and pleasant 25°. There were not many people on the beach, a pleasant atmosphere. The island offers many attractions, the old town of Rethymno is worth a trip alone. The prices are okay. The Greeks are nice and hospitable. Nikos was on hand when we had an issue. Very friendly and helpful. We recommend this place👍. Regine and Heike from Germany🙋🙋.

Nice, modern flat at the beach. Is equipped with everything you may nee d. Very nice owner and the communication with Etouri was pleasant.

Loved the huge deck. Across street from beautiful beach where you could rent chairs and an umbrella and order food and drink. Walk to dozens of all kinds of different restaurants right on the “the strip” and in the old town.

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!
