Kid-friendly holiday rentals in River Wye

We have just had the most incredible stay at Nichola’s place for my sister’s hen do. From the moment we arrived, she was warm and welcoming and met us to show us around. She also came to say bye at the end of our stay and asked how we got on which was lovely. The house itself is amazing and somehow exceeded our expectations- the photos look brilliant but in person it is stunning! Would definitely recommend!

This is my third time visiting Badgers Bothy and we've made it 4 for next year! It is a little peace of heaven, set in the most gorgeous setting. If you are looking for a place to relax, unwind and forget about things for a few days then Joe's place is perfect for this. It's beautifully decorated, beautifully clean and feels like a second home from the second you walk through the door. The wildlife is an additional bonus - sat in the living room watching a Muntjac walk past was just the cherry on the top. Thanks Joe for another lovely visit, we are very much looking forward to coming back next year x

Black Sheep Barn is just as described in the listing. It is far from any towns and most villages, but this gives it the seclusion and privacy that you sometimes want from a countryside break. The barn was amazing. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The little touches such as the cake on arrival and fresh eggs from the farm were lovely. It had everything you would want from an accomodation and we really enjoyed our time there. It was very relaxing, and the views are astounding. There are plenty of walks straight from the barn, also with great views. The major towns are within driving distance, so easy to get anything you need. We would recommend this accomodation and may well return in the future.

We had a lovely time at Alison’s place during the book festival. V easy to reach the festival place, and the town at other times. Comfortable, quiet place with good beds (including lovely linen sheets). Cute secluded garden to sit in and have coffee. The only thing we would have wished for was a set of black-out blinds in each bedroom. So pack an eye mask if you like your bedroom dark! But that really was the only suggestion we had. Nicole was such a fabulous host, it’s clear she has set out to ensure everyone has a fantastic stay. Communication was quick and had recommendations for food locally. I loved the little luxury details - beautiful fluffy towels, gorgeous cookies, a good fan, shampoos, conditioner, dog treats and towels etc. A very lovely stay, walking distance to the town where we met very friendly locals. Would definitely stay again 🥰

Wonderful character barn with a totally private balcony terrace. Sitting there and listening to the birds was lovely, it felt as if you were in the tree tops. Great location for mountain walks like Dragon’s Back. The local co op and Morrisons daily (5 minute drive) were really handy.

The Cider Press Barn made an excellent base for our short holiday. We found it comfortable and well-presented with good facilities. We liked the quiet rural location, off road parking and pleasant bedrooms each with an ensuite bathroom. Rosie responded promptly to any queries and kindly left us a welcome gift of delicious local apple juice and homemade jam and gin. We visited some lovely gardens in the area including Rhodds Farm, Brobury House, Hergest Croft, Burford House and Stockton Bury, all within easy driving distance. Thanks Rosie - we really enjoyed our stay.

Helen's flat is very spacious, beautifully decorated and furnished and the kitchen table has a stunning view over Hereford (many games of cribbage played with glasses of wine!). The kitchen has everything needed to produce a meal and Helen kindly left milk, breakfast goods etc in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable, with extra linen if you needed. The HUGE shower was a real luxury. The relaxing spacious sitting room has a woodburner stove if needed (sadly we could not justify lighting it in June 😆). This is a perfect base for travelling around the beautiful surrounding areas, or to just chill out and relax (WiFi very good). 10/10 🤗

Fabulous apartment, with amazing views in a peaceful location. Loved all the little touches. Enjoyed watching the Guinea Pigs pop up in the garden ! Probably the best AirBnB we’ve stayed in. Thanks a lot !

We had a wonderful two nights at Louise's and would have stayed longer had the apartment been free. Everything about the apartment was elegant, the street , the windows, height of ceiling, quality of the furnitiure, fixtures and fittings. The kitchen was have everything we needed. Check in and Check out was very simple using key box. The appartment is no more than 10mins from centre. There is no parking in the street but the Bath Cricket Club carpark was only 15mins away, we left our car there for all our stay, fees paid in advance.

Lovely place to stay, Phoebe and James were very helpful and responsive both prior to and during our stay. Would definitely stay again!!!

Really lovely place to stay, very comfortable space and everything you need. Surroundings are beautiful which can be enjoyed from the balcony. Very easy to walk into Hay and to get to the festival. Jan and Andrew were lovely hosts. Thank you very much.

Perfect location for those exploring Barry Island. Host were friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. Communication was fantastic. Room was exactly what we needed. Clean and tidy. Bed and bedding was comfortable. Garden was lovely for a coffee if a morning. We especially liked the free and included doggy cuddles. ❤️ The only downside was having to leave. This is one of the best Airbnb's we've ever stayed in! It was very spacious and comfortable for a traveling couple, and the views of the surrounding hills from 3 sides were absolutely stunning! The location is excellent for those without a car, in a quiet neighborhood that's an easy 10-15 min walk to the towns' amenities, and a 30 minute walk to the train station. We also hiked up sugar loaf directly from the front door! Lucie was a superb host: the kitchen and bathroom were extremely well equipped, there are several hiking books in the unit + other personal recommendations on places to go in the area, and lastly Lucie was very kind and understanding when we had a small accident in the kitchen that was 100% our fault. We felt very looked after during our stay and can't wait to be back in Abergavenny!

Was a great check in with John who gave clear instructions and a brief intro to the apartment. It’s an historic building nestled in a beautiful secluded spot but immediately accessible to Stroud including a walkable supermarket. We were treated to a brass band on Sunday morning from the park bandstand opposite! Comfortable and cosy interior perfect for our short stay. John was the perfect gentleman and host

A great place to stay to explore Upton and the surrounding areas. Apartment is great in a central location right in town, easy walk to anywhere in Upton. Carola and Rick were great hosts, good clear instructions and helpful information. Apartment was spotless (thank you to their housekeeper Emma), and would highly recommended both the Regency Apartment and Carola and Rick as hosts.

Fantastic large space for us, very clean and very central to where we wanted to be. Communication was clear and friendly.

Had a great few days, with a friend, writing, walking along Offa's Dyke Path, and soaking up the atmosphere in Hay. The flat is right in the centre of town, and we enjoyed watching everyone go by through the lovely big windows. The beds are comfy and the kitchen well-equipped. It's also great to have a bathroom for each bedroom, which are almost en suite, given each is just across the hall from a bedroom. Highly recommended!

Great location, just over Pulteney Bridge so nice and quiet at nighttime but very easy to walk over to the main attractions during the day. Lots of great restaurants etc. very close by too. The apartment itself is impressive! The scale is larger than the photos, all very spaced out with lots of room. The design is great and everything was spotless. The kitchen had amenities to be able to cook at home. Great window coverings to allow complete blockout at night, however also allowed through flow of air during the day. As advertised, it is upstairs, so something to note. We were made aware there were renovation works on the apartment upstairs, however they were all conducted in normal construction hours and we barely heard any noise. Overall, peaceful and so enjoyable, we would stay here again and highly recommend it.

Such a great accommodation for spending a few days in the area. The apartment is clean, modern, perfectly equipped, comfortable, quiet and private. Easy access to the Brecon Beacons, as well as Swansea. Lucy and David are the ideal hosts: thoughtful, responsive, friendly and accommodating. It was my second stay at the apartment, I'll definitely be staying again.

We had the most wonderful stay with Mags. The house is stunning, surrounded by the most beautiful landscaped gardens. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong in the morning. The property itself is cosy, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We slept great and the shower is excellent! Lastly, Mags was the cherry on top. She was kind, attentive and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome, albeit we only stayed for one night. One of the best Air BnBs we’ve stayed in - we hope we can find an excuse to come back again. Brava!

The accommodation was comfortable and clean. We felt welcome there and it was in a good place for us to get to local amenities and to visit family. Would recommend.
