The property has been in the family's possession since 1950, after the end of the grandfather's evacuation trip here. For an authentic Finnish sauna experience, enjoy the traditional lakeside wood-fired sauna with its gentle heat. The beach is shallow and child-friendly. The cabin accommodates up to 4 people. During the summer of 2026, the lake water level is exceptionally low, as is the case elsewhere in Eastern Finland. So swimming may be difficult in shallow areas.

Rananiemi is a fully equipped cottage on a lake bank facing the south. The cottage, built in 2002, is surrounded by pine moor and rocks. The immediate surroundings of the cottage are partly lawn, partly undisturbed nature. The terrace and the combined kitchen/livingroom have a view to the slope declining towards the lake. The yard on the other side of the cottage is flat. The neighbouring waters are sheltered and well suitable for paddling or other water activities.

Sauna cabin Pöllölä

Tunnelmallinen saunamökki Saimaan rannalla. Mökin ympäristössä laajat metsät tarjoavat upeat mahdollisuudet marjastukseen ja sienestykseen. Kalastaa voit mökin rannalta tai lähteä soutuveneellä järvelle. Pyöräilijälle löytyy kilometrikaupalla hiekkatietä ajettavaksi. Mökki sijaitsee Ruokolahden melontareitin (102km) varrella. Puusaunasta lyhyt matka uimaan. Ei juoksevaa vettä, juomavesi tuotava mukana. Pesuvedet kannetaan järvestä. Soutuvene käytettävissä.
