Places to stay in Cave Junction

Places to stay in Cave Junction
Welcome to Eudora! Our twenty acres of secluded woodland, in Southern Oregon's beautiful Klamath Siskiyou ecoregion. Our property is run on solar power - come experience the rustic, off-grid Oregon lifestyle. Our dream is to make this property into a small permaculture homestead, and create more beautiful spaces so we can have more folks visit the property. We invite you to enjoy our woods and relax in the wild.
The cabin is studio style i.e. one open room. *For folks booking in the winter - late October through April approx. - the only heat in the cabin is from a wood stove - we will provide you with firewood and can start a fire in the wood stove for you.* There is an enclosed outdoor shower on the back porch, with hot water. The toilet is an outhouse, which is a short walk from the cabin - so be ready for a genuine rustic experience! Our chicken yard is just downhill from the cabin (only hens, we don't have a rooster) - please enjoy as many farm fresh eggs as you like during your stay. There are three farm dogs on site, that may join you on a hike around the property. There is a 1.8 mile gravel road to our property that has some potholes - please take this into consideration. We only use natural cleaning products in the cabin, and organic practices on the property.
The Illinois Valley is a very special place - there are many incredible hikes and river spots all around us- we will be happy to recommend some of our favorites during your stay. There are three grocery stores in Cave Junction, Shop Smart (Ray’s), Grocery Outlet and Diggin’ Livin Natural Foods & Cafe - all of which are open 7 days a week.
  • Warm wood fire. Stars beaming through the skylights. Great food from Cave Junction's local hippie store. Cozy woods and critters all around us, and a bathroom with an amazing view! We definitely felt like Travis and Hannah's off grid haven from the noise and waste of civilization was truly a special discovery! Thanks guys :)

  • Hannah's place was great. Very off the beaten path. The dirt road to get there is about 15 minutes long and was a little scary to drive at night but Hannah and her adorable dogs met us as soon as we got there to great us and show us around. She had also gotten the wood stove going before we got there so it was nice and toasty. This place is definitely rustic and off the grid. The "bathroom" is entirely outside with no door just a heads up and so is the shower. The cabin itself is beautifully built with all the necessary amenities for a brief stay. The books and games and puzzles were a great addition as well. Hope to be back one day!

    Vanessa2019-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • Super friendly, they did a fantastic job making it feel like home. Their dogs are super sweet and visited us in the mornings.

  • The road is a little hard to get up at some points but it is so worth it! Such a cute little cabin that is perfect for a quiet get away. The host are very responsive and super friendly! Would recommend to anyone!

    Melanie2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot to stay if visiting the Oregon Caves area. Super rustic and off the grid but that was made clear before we reserved. Nice space!

    Rodney2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful area, sweet, rustic cabin experience!

    Nicole2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hannah’s place is pure off the grid awesomeness! The quiet, the stars and the incredible flora around it makes it one of the most peaceful places I’ve been in a while. If you’re in the area to visit the Oregon caves or the Siskiyou region (incredible nature) treat yourself to this fantastic place full of thoughtful touches and true serenity.

    Arturo2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Travis personally met and showed me around. Thankfully he provided accurate directions from Highway as it is off the beaten path. Would not recommend trying to find this place in the dark. It was a fun and adventurous experience & would highly recommend

  • Camila was a great communicator before and during our stay. We had all of the necessary kitchen equipment to make our meals. It was such a gift to have local coffee and other nice treats upon arrival. Her place was off the beaten path which we needed.

    Julie2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Camila’s place was the perfect place to stay for my brother and I. It was just outside of town, clean and quiet. Camila responses super fast to all my communication and needs and the self check in process made it super easy for me to arrive late at night. If you need a place to stay in Cave Junction this is it!

  • Great little place. Bed is very comfy and nice and local to everything.

    James2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely divine place to stay. Organic cleaning items and toiletries were so welcome, especially when this is how you live regularly. Close enough to town and yet far enough away that you feel a part of the forest. Peaceful and happy home ❤️

    Tricia2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice property and Camilla is a great host. The area has so much to do!

    Bonnie2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful tree filled location, and a kind host! It’s the little things that make a difference, after a long drive coming into a nice clean place with fresh fruit left out as a gift...would definitely stay here again! Thanks for everything!

    Jennifer2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cute guest house. Hosts were kind and quiet.

    Lindsey2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location was perfect floor us: 10-15 minutes to the Takilma Community Center. Having two bedrooms was also great, made for a peaceful night’s sleep when traveling with friends. There were fresh organic locally roasted coffee beans, electric kettle for tea, and wonderful hand thrown mugs and dishes. We had a sweet morning visit with their dog and cat. :-) It’s a beautiful area.

Private and cozy room at Kerbyville Inn. Coffee is available for you to make in your room, however no breakfast is provided by the inn. Wi-fi, Netflix and Roku available. Nestled in the beautiful Illinois Valley, this inn provides easy access to local attractions, including Oregon Caves National Monument, local wineries, and numerous parks and hiking trails.
  • Wonderful host! I had a great stay. Perfect location for my needs. The room was spotless and the check in was a breeze. Best place to stay in the area. Will be staying here again.

  • My son had an event in the area so this was very convenient. It was a great stay. We slept well. It was super clean. Very friendly and kind! Thank you!

    Penny2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I like this little place. It’s close to my dive spot in the Illinois river. Closest I could get and the stay was great.

    D.2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable room on the way to Crater Lake with everything you need.

    Mariette2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Cabernet Room at Kerbyville Inn was clean and offered a nice place to stay in the area with ample parking. No breakfast was provided. Check-in was easy. Hostess communicated well and was very responsive. There was a refrigerator and coffee in the room with a coffee pot. The Kerby Mart is right next door, so if you need a few quick items, it is within walking distance. My only complaint would be that the price for the room seemed a bit high for the offering. Other than that, I expect that we will likely return in the future.

    Thomas2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Accommodations were wonderful and staff were available to meet whatever needs/concerns you had. Would definitely recommend Debbie’s place and plan on using them again in the future. We reported a front porch light being out making it dark at night to get into our room. It was corrected the same day. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries provided as well.

  • This place was very clean very conveniently located to the attractions we were there to see and we plan to come back in the summer and see the beautiful grape arbor above the deck maybe with a few other family members.

    Beth2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kerbyville Inn is a great value! I stayed there when the grapes were ripe, and they were delicious!

    Cord2019-09-20T00:00:00Z

Cute and cozy vintage home located close to town on the road to the Oregon Caves.
This is a life size dollhouse. Very quaint authentic experience.
The neighbors are also alittle quirky but kind. We all get along & help eachother when needed.
  • A great value for the size of the home. Met all of our needs and we were comfortable. The space has a lot of cute little touches. It’s close to grocery stores and restaurants. Perfect for a weekend in CJ!

    Francesca2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. really enjoyed our stay.

    Renuka2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • A charming old house with vintage touches and decorations everywhere. Fantastic amenities (there was even some butter in the fridge!) and great location for a home base if you’re exploring the Oregon caves or going to the northern redwoods.

    Blossom2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely space. Perfectly located for a visit to the caves. Felt very relaxing and we left recharged.

    Andreas2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Easy to find, comfortable and charming mid-century decorated home. Enjoyed our stay!

    Kimberly2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location - very convenient if you spent a long day at Oregon Caves. Clean and quiet. Lots of interesting décor. We enjoyed our night in Cave Junction. Plenty of restaurants to choose from - the pizza at Wild River was great. Thanks, Kathryn!

    Stefan2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a great location right on the way to the Oregon caves and is very spacious. The mandolin and piano were interesting additions to an Airbnb. The beds were quite comfortable and the layout of the home was very unique and interesting. The decorations in the common spaces and bathrooms were actually really cool but the bedroom meant for a child was overwhelming. I would not want to sleep in there among all the antique dolls and posters and my niece was a little scared to step into the room. I dont mean to be negative, we got through the night fine and my niece was able to laugh about it but she shared a bed with her mom. Overall I really liked it and would recommend it

  • The Rose room was spacious and a provided a good place for us to interact with our grandson. There was much more room than I originally expected. A short walk to a market next door gave us the opportunity to pick up a few things without having to drive to town. The room was very clean. Hosts were very responsive. Glad we stayed there!

  • Very spacious place. And also very welcoming host. Would recommended.

    Alister2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay, comfortable and spacious.

    Matthew2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • First of all, the most important thing besides cleanliness is a comfortable bed and the beds here were great and I had a good nights rest. It was hot outside and air conditioning was a life saver. Appreciate the coffee and coffee machine. I didn’t bring a hairdryer so I called Dawn from the office and she brought one right over for me. A very nice stay.

    Gina2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really awesome spot! Quaint little town

    Adam2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Debbie greeted us and showed us to our room. With two girls in tow, the little couch and Netflix option was great for the needed rest time/space after our drive. The porch is really beautiful. Also, there’s a small shop (convenience store) next door with a small selection to help if you needed some cereal for the morning. It closed at 9 pm. We stayed on a weekday; I didn’t check to see the hours during weekends. The space was great for the four of us (2 adults and 2 kids). The bathroom was very clean and the room was spacious. We could spread out after our drive from Crater Lake. All in all, very pleasant experience. We went on a cave tour the next day. I highly suggest the tour! It’s a very curvy drive to the caves, so give yourself about an hour to get there so you can arrive early for your tour.

  • Great place. Loved the giant bathtub. Plenty of room for two people.

    Joel2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice little private room. Uncomfortable old mattresses and slumped. Decorating was outdated. Nice to have a smart tv in room. Way better than at a hotel. Didn't use the jacuzzi but it seemed nice and large. Definitely needs more comfortable beds and updates. Laminate flooring, granite and getting rid of the carpet would make it feel much cleaner.

    Amanda2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was wonderful staying at kirbyville in and so nice meeting the host. Great location and wonderful hostess.

    Susan2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for the attentiveness and great communication which made for a fun stay. We rode our tandem into Cave Junction for dinner which also worked well.

  • Cute cabin, quiet campground. Town has some nice restaurants and a good donut place.

    Elisha2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Took a quick trip to the redwoods and this was the perfect little spot to stay during our adventure. Just a 45 minute drive from the Jedediah Smith Redwood Park in Northern California.

    Bryson2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely return. I was unable to check in until after hours and they made sure to accommodate me regardless and left a key and detailed instructions. I was very grateful. The space was very clean and they provided water bottles and a coffee maker. Only suggestion I would make is to bring lots of blankets or a very warm sleeping bag. Despite the space heater running all night and 2 hefty blankets, it was still chilly inside. Mind you, it was in the low 20s that night. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay. The showers were very warm and clean. Such a beautiful location!

    Luisa2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great campground

    Lisa2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was super cute, cozy and had everything we needed for an overnight stay! The beds were cozy, the cabin was superbly clean upon arrival and the coffee maker and mini fridge were an unexpected touch! I’d highly recommend this for anyone traveling through cave junction. 😊

    Kristen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location by the highway, but tucked away enough to be quiet. The cabin was so nice, more comfortable than I expected. Everyone at the resort was very kind and friendly. It was a perfect stop on our road trip!

    Krysta2019-08-16T00:00:00Z

We are located in Takilma, Oregon - about 12 miles outside of Cave Junction, Oregon. We are close to the Oregon Caves National Monument, Redwood National Forest and the Oregon coast. There is plenty of hiking, fishing and rafting in our area as well!
The Peacock Perch was the first treehouse we built back in 1990. It sits 18 feet off of the ground and is a small single room unit with a queen bed, small single cot and a hand sink with cold running water. It is located about 30 feet away from the base of the stairs to the closest restroom.
We are rurally located 12 miles outside of Cave Junction Oregon. We are in a community known as Takilma where all of our neighbors know who we are and are generally very friendly and kind people and are aware we are operation a bed and breakfast.
  • Our time at Out'n'about was brief, but we enjoyed the place very much. We stayed in the cozy Peacock Perch. It's a beautiful little room with a very comfortable and warm (lots of blankets) double? bed. There is a sink in the room, which allows you to avoid trips downstairs for drinking water, brushing teeth, or washing hands - though I will say that it offers only a trickle of cold water. Apart from a good night sleep, we enjoyed the continental breakfast and had fun playing some disc golf in the big field next to the treehouses. Never did meet Alex, but met some very friendly staff at the main desk.

  • Wonderful experience. Perfect place to enjoy nature and quietness. The host were very welcoming and helpful.

    Hassan2019-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very secluded cute treehouse community. Family oriented. It was me, my husband and my toddler. My toddler absolutely LOVED it! There were real live horses, tire swings shaped like horses (the cutest thing ever), and regular baby swings, also larger swings for older kids (there was one connected to two trees which was pretty awesome!!) We would 100% come back! Especially in the summer (we were told by a very sweet staff member Janessa, that summers are always very booked due to the great kid friendly festivities and there is a full breakfast bar!) We had an awesome time here at out n about and we look forward to coming back soon! Peace & Love, The Ventresca Family

  • Great swimming!

    River2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • The campsite is very clean, dog friendly, has clean porta potties, water, fire circles and plenty of shade. There weren't a lot of bugs or other disturbances. Tent sites are far enough from the RV sites that it isn't noisy. The host is friendly and responsive. Follow the directions provided DO NOT FOLLOW GOOGLE MAPS- it will lead you two miles down the road in the wrong direction.

    Paul2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent primitive camping stay with my 2 dogs. Clean, exactly as advertised, spacious campsites, and a great value. Me and my dogs especially liked the chilly/clear water pond for swimming. Will absolutely stay again in the future.

  • Campsite was back from the rv sites which was nice, a lot of mosquitos at dusk, but they cleared off pretty quickly after dark.

  • Great campsite! Had a picnic bench, showers, laundry which I didn't use but still nice to have. Tent campsites were in the back of the site away from RVs which was nice

  • Views, views and views! We booked this place last minute and anticipated on having a lovely stay, but Wolf's place took us far beyond to a forest wonderland! When you enter those glass doors your eyes go straight to the view and you literally feel like you're in the sky. Trees till the eye can see and at night, stars that glimmer so bright! Everything was clean and pristine and such lovely touches! He is a flying instructor and made our towels out of a plane! Bed was wonderful, lovely clean bathroom, beautiful kitchen and then back to that view! Enjoy your coffee and have a lovely convo with Wolf! You'll leave happy to your next adventure!

We invite you and your family to stay in the place that we love... If you are fond of the outdoors and the natural diversity of this area, you may come to love it, too. Let it inspire your inner artist, writer, or naturalist.
The Cabin is an open studio nestled in a clearing in a forested park-like setting on more than 60 acres. The kitchen corner is equipped with a full-size refrigerator, two-burner induction stove, convection oven, microwave oven, coffeemaker, toaster, and dining table. The couch corner has a...couch!...a comfy chair, and a coffee table. There are two queen beds in the sleeping area. The bathroom has a toilet, sink, and shower. Relax and enjoy the outdoors from one of the two decks attached to the Cabin. We have a Bunkhouse that is situated on the same clearing as the Cabin. It will not be rented during your stay in order to ensure you privacy (we will give you a tour, if you would like). We (and our hens) live on a clearing below the Cabin. This maintains your privacy but provides you with easy access to us if any need arises. Infants, children, and teens are welcome to stay at the Cabin with their parents, and we think this is a great home base for a family outdoor getaway. Please be aware that we do not include infant and toddler safety equipment. We do provide several indoor (and outdoor) games, puzzles, and family friendly DVDs. There is plenty of outdoor space to run around, have fun, and to play on. As in any outdoor space, please take precautions and supervise children.
Whisper Canyon Ranch Cabin is located between Cave Junction and Selma, about 1 1/2 miles from Lake Selmac, on 60+ acres in a residential area. • Cornelia and David were very gracious and welcomed us in, even on short notice. What a beautiful place to stay and just relax.

  • We highly recommend a stay at Whisper Canyon Ranch. Cornelia and David are wonderful hosts, who made sure we had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. We had some highly competitive games of croquet, badminton and horseshoes 😉. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

  • Beautiful, quiet spot among the trees. The cabin is nicely appointed and pretty. A lovely place to stay.

    Paula2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the cabin! The setting was beautiful and the cabin was charming, well-kept, and met all of our needs. Cornelia was attentive and responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

    Ben2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay at Whisper Canyon Ranch. We were visiting our two grandchildren and their mother who live in the area. The kids had a great time with us at the cabin, playing croquet, tether ball, horseshoes, board games and watching children's DVDs, even sleeping over one night. This was all provided by Cornelia and David prior to our arrival. One morning Cornelia invited the kids down the hill to gather more eggs for the cabin. In the kitchen we were pleasantly surprised to find fresh organic ground coffee, including creamers, sugar, filters, and a selection of teas, fresh fruit, eggs (from their own chickens), sliced organic cheese, crackers and nuts. All kitchen cleaning supplies were provided. Plenty of towels and washcloths were provided, and replenished twice during our stay. Soap and shampoo were also provided. The cabin is beautiful inside, and really clean. The two queen beds and all the bedding are extremely comfortable, as is the sofa and recliner. Outside we could sit on the porch and hear nothing but the sound of birds singing and the trees rustling in the breeze. This was our first Airbnb rental, but it was really like a stay at a secluded country resort, so peaceful and serene. Thank you Cornelia and David.

    Don2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was absolutely perfect! It was warm and well-insulated (it rained for our whole stay), clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. My wife and I stayed here with our 1-year-old for a few nights, and there was plenty of room for his pack-n-play in the sitting area. We felt very much at home thanks to personal touches like fresh eggs from the hens on the property, a baby gate, and a box full of toys and books for our son. Cornelia was a very gracious host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed! Highly recommended, and we hope we get a chance to stay here again!

Beautiful farmhouse cottage located on Augustino Estate and Vineyard, home of the amazing Treehouse wine tasting room. This is a working ranch & vineyard property in the Illinois Valley. Horses, cattle and amazing natural surroundings. Best of all, you can walk to the tasting room to enjoy award winning wines while looking out over the Illinois river.
  • Place was just as described. Highly recommended!

  • Very relaxing cottage bordering a vineyard. We came out here to visit family and the cottage was a great place to visit and relax after a fun filled day in the sun. Coffee, cups, cook wear and utensils were all provided. Great little ranch style touches throughout, including a burl coffee table and lamps/light fixtures made of antler. The property is very peaceful and quiet, tucked well away from the highway. And the best part...the wine tasting in the treehouse on the same property!

My place is 17 miles from Oregon Caves National Monument, close to city center, great views. My place is good for couples, solo , business travelers, families (with kids),groups, and furry friends (pets). It comes with a fenced yard for pets and six acres to run and play on. We have very friendly animals from chickens to horses and the property also has it's share of wild Turkeys and deer crossing all the time (this is a "No hunting" property). And the property overlooks the Bridge View Winery.
There is little to no Cell service and no WiFi and no Cable......we do have a VCR and Free Movies though! A deck to drink coffee on and enjoy the outdoors. You can also enjoy watching your kids walking around with their cell phones in the air looking for a signal and bumping into oak trees and trying to figure out what a "VCR" is. We do find that parents have the chance to actually talk to their kids! Anyway, all kidding aside you will be in the country, and most kids discover that you really can play with a horse if you want to and they will come when called!
We charge a $10 fee for extra beds you want setup, the home comes with two beds ready to go. Quite safe and secure, no one has EVER had anything stolen on our property. We allow NO trespassers. Our property is a fenced six acres with a lot of walking and riding trails, and wildlife (Deer, squirrels, horses wild turkeys, chickens one goose and a dog).
  • The home is spacious with a large deck in the back. The horses are very friendly and will get in your space if you let them so if you don’t care for horses, Don will kindly put them away from you. Expect an outdoorsy feel, lots of quiet, and a little bit of a trip back to the 80s when cable tv didn’t exist when you didn’t live in town. Also, poor download speed on phones or iPads so no streaming videos. Perfect if you want to get away from it all.

  • Our group of four stayed at Don's place for a stop at the Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve along our 1300 mile West Coast Road trip. Don's hospitality lived up to the numerous reviews we'd seen from prior patrons and he really made us feel at home. As others also noted, we were greeted by his friendly horses upon arrival, which was a nice perk :) We'd happily recommend other's stay here.

    Scott2018-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had just come from a different Airbnb where we had a terrible experience. Upon arriving at Don’s, we were greeted warmly and it became immediately apparent that we were very welcome there. Don was incredibly accommodating and has great communication skills. He is friendly, but also gives you your space. And he is very concerned with making his guests comfortable. The home was really cute...situated on a peaceful 6 acres where we were free to wander around, it was a beautiful wooded location that had a playground for the kids, a charming tire swing, and a deck where we could sit and drink our coffee while our dog explored the fenced in yard. Our son LOVED the three very friendly horses wandering the property and we loved seeing their adorable faces through the windows, waiting for us to come outside to pet them. This is not the place for you if you are looking for a high-end retreat with fancy accommodations...it is rural and surrounded by nature, so there is (naturally) dust and no WiFi. BUT, this is the place for you if you are looking for a quiet place to relax, connect with your family, and enjoy feeling grounded without the distractions of modern day life.

    Ashni2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at this house was spectacular. The location is convenient for travelers seeking beautiful excursions nearby while also offers amazing experiences right from the b&b. Enjoy the sounds of wildlife, vineyard and farm views, and friendly horses to pet and freely offer treats. The house has great character and is clean. My family loved it...by far, our favorite of the many places we stayed. Don greeted us with a complimentary bottle of wine, four fresh water bottles, and snacks. And he went above and beyond in supporting us with safely mailing our computer after we had realized we accidentally left it behind. Thanks again Don!

  • This was a very relaxing and comfortable place to stay! Don is a very friendly and welcoming host and was a pleasure to meet. The home is very spacious and comfortable with a nice shaded porch, and accommodated our group of 6 perfectly. If you're staying in the area for a couple of days, this is a great place to call "home" while you explore.

We are located in Takilma, Oregon - about 12 miles outside of Cave Junction, Oregon. We are close to the Oregon Caves National Monument, the Redwood National Forest and the Oregon coast. There is plenty of hiking, fishing, and rafting in our area as well!
The Forestree sits about 32 feet off of the ground and can sleep 4 to 5 people. It is a single room unit with a queen bed, single wide bunk beds, a small single cot built into the wall, mini refrigerator, and a toilet and sink. The toilet and sink are not very private, they are only separated from the room by a thin curtain but they are mainly in the room so you don't have to go down 30 feet to the ground in the middle of the night to use a restroom. There are full regular bathrooms available for guest use on the ground level. The Forestree is accessed by climbing three flights of stairs, crossing two suspension bridges and then climbing another seven stairs to get into the room.
We are rurally located 12 miles outside of Cave Junction, Oregon. We are in a community known as Takilma where all of our neighbors know who we are and are generally very friendly and kind people and are aware we are operation a bed and breakfast.
  • The ”Forestree” room was everything I wanted it to be. The amenities were better than expected, and the staff was warm and friendly. I plan on returning and would highly recommend staying here.

  • I can’t say enough about how special it is to stay in this treehouse. It feels as if you are defying gravity and is cozy and quaint. The communal kitchen on site is spotless and had everything we needed to make dinners for ourselves. We enjoyed bonfires at the fire pit and breakfast in the lodge. This treehouse does take some effort to reach so it’s not for anyone that has trouble climbing stairs repeatedly. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants an adventure surrounded by whimsy and tree magic. The treesort is full of good vibrations and entertainment for outdoor enthusiasts. It’s a favorite place and surrounded by Oregon’s natural beauty. Top notch.

Large room about 175 sq ft. Skylights and piano. Wifi available. 10 minutes to town. 20 minutes from the Caves. 45 minutes to Grants Pass. 30 minutes to Redwoods. 15 acres in our hilly backyard is hiking. We live in the hills small garden/farm and cats.
Bedroom has one queen size bed. Air mattress available to extra people in room or tent outside. Nice view with piano in room. Outdoor bathroom adjacent to bedroom with marble tub and nice indoor compost toilet in nice indoor bathroom, large windows give a outdoor feel. Everyone is usually fine with adjacent bathroom, but welcome to small shared one. We are flexible and laid back. Good down home living. Kid friendly. Trampoline available for fun. Some shelves with books and our things in room. We do not charge a cleaning fee or deposit which I find a plus. We get it ready ourselves. Clean sheets and towels provided. Let us know if you need anything else, or more cleans sheets etc..dusting, sweeping etc.. The space is well lived in and but fairly clean. Our cats are out and in, we will keep them out of the private room if requested.
On 15 acres pretty hilly and rural. Neighbors somewhat far away. Pretty secluded. Nice patio and view. In the woods/forest but open sunny spot at house. Deer and wild turkeys are abundant.
  • Alan and Charlene we’re very friendly and hospitable. They communicated well about directions and were open to answer all our questions. We also had wonderful conversations. We liked that their place is quiet. It’s also not too far from the Oregon Caves National Monument, just about 35 mins drive.

  • Charlene is a great hospitable host. She made us a nice breakfast with organic eggs and fruits, the place is very quite and close to oregon cave (about 30 min) with mountain view in the backyard. The place located on top of the mountain with steep and dirty road. We recommended people contact host if without suv or truck.

    Joyce2017-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Charlene's and Alan's house, and not only because of the house itself being deep in woods, and not only organic eggs and veggies, but mostly because of very welcoming hosts who we felt to become good friends with. We even prolonged our stay for one more night because it was too sad to leave. We liked the room - there's an extremely comfortable king size bed now, a vintage piano and a contemplative ceiling fan, the room is clean and smells very good (due to incense and essential oils). There are also two windows in the ceiling through which you can see the stars! The room has a door to terrace with a dining table and a huge cedar. There's a bathroom attached to the room, the one with a compost toilet and marble bath. It is nice and clean, and doesn't smell bad at all, you can use it just like the ordinary bathroom except for the cool feel that it's not a boring ordinary bathroom) And it also smells fine) We had full access to kitchen, including oils, spices, teas, eggs, vegetables and berries ) The cats are sweet, especially Shadow - he took my heart. We would definitely come to stay here again and would recommend this place and these hosts to everyone who'd like to get a touch of remote living, organic foods, fresh air and forest silence.

  • Charlene was an excellent host. She even cooked us breakfast and gave us vegetables from her garden to use when we cooked our dinner, and gave us advice for our stay in Yosemite. The cats are friendly, particularly Salty. We enjoyed playing the piano in the room and using the marble tub. She also let us use her laundry machines. The room was clean and had great views.

The house is located on a 112 acre spread of premium grape vineyards, ponds, creeks, and forestland in the heart of Oregon’s remote Siskiyou Mountains. The two-story house is beautifully situated with a breathtaking view of the nearby Klamath Range.
  • What a beautiful country home! We had a group of 10 stay comfortably over the Thanksgiving holiday. Perfect accommodation for our group....cooked in comfort in the big kitchen and really enjoyed the stained-glass and unique wood features, which harkened back to simpler times.

    Bernard2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our group enjoyed staying at the farmhouse. Lots of room in the main living area for gathering, and it met out needs very well

    Raymond2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! This house fit our family of 10 with no problems. Our kids range in age from 18 down to 2 and they all were comfortable, had things to do and slept well each night. It was situated perfectly for our little day trips to the Redwoods and the Oregon caves. We would definitely stay again!

    Sarah2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • The house is about 15 minutes from Cave Junction and is a very nice secluded location. The house is pretty old, but it was cleaned nicely and had a nice feel to it. Teresa is extremely responsive and was so accommodating for our group. Would highly recommend.

  • We loved it. Beautiful secluded location lots of space and we had everything we needed for our army of 9. We might have to do it again.

  • We had a great stay. Everyone liked the house in my family. It was great having the entire place to ourselves. Communication was excellent.

  • Peaceful, lovely home with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and so clean. Our family of 11 loved it!

    Nancy2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • It's a 100 year old building. It isn't the Ritz, but it's clean and homey. Many of the rooms are modern others have older windows and cracks around them. There were no pests. Everything worked and was in order. And it had character. Very relaxing place. It perfectly accommodate our group of nine. No cell service, but the WiFi kept the millenials happy. Close to outdoor recreation and a fun country store with helpful, friendly people. A gem and joy.

The Pleasantree sits about 30 feet off of the ground and can sleep 4 to 5 people. When you enter the treehouse there is a set of single wide bunk beds on your left, a ladder on your right that accesses the sleeping loft where the queen bed and tri-fold sleeping mat are located. Please note that the sleeping loft is just that - you cannot stand up, up there. There is a toilet and sink located on the main level under the sleeping loft area and the sink is located in the center of the room attached to the support tree that goes through the center of the room. You can access this room by climbing 3 flights of stairs and crossing 2 suspension bridges OR you can climb up 1 flight of stairs and cross 1 suspension bridge.
We are rurally located 12 miles outside of Cave Junction Oregon. We are in a community known as Takilma where all of our neighbors know who we are and are generally very friendly and kind people and are aware we are operation a bed and breakfast.
  • Once in a lifetime experience! Don’t miss it!

    Kathy2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • My fiancé and I stayed in the Pleasantree treehouse for one night on our spontaneous road trip north. We found the spot on a whim and booked it last minute; but it was incredible! The treehouse had a great little porch to sit out on and take in the view. The lofted sleeping area is tight - definitely snug for two people but it can be done. The space heaters worked well to keep the treehouse warm. We didn’t brave the shower; simply because we wanted to get on the road but the sink and toilet worked just fine. Breakfast in the morning was great. We will definitely be back!

    Courtney2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Such a fun experience!!! Beautiful property, very clean, great breakfast. My family and I really enjoyed it! The horse back ride with Connie was amazing as well!! Such an amazing ride this time of year with all the leaves changing. The horses were so well behaved, we will definitely be back. We want to try zip lining next time!

Remote area, with a local town 8 min away. You will see beautiful mountains, lakes and streams, surrounding you here in O'Brien. Come get away from the busy city and stay with us. Just a five minute walk to a mini mart/deli, Post Office, Gas Station, Steakhouse and a cute little Tavern.
  • A great campsite, private with great showers (which is always a huge plus for a campsite!) We loved how close it was as to the Oregon caves and the Redwoods. There is a great store to pick up anything you need right around the corner as well. The stargazing from our hammock is our best memory there!

    Elizabeth2019-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • A hidden gem! The campground was spotless, the restrooms and showers were impeccable, it was easy to find, but the very best part were the hosts and staff! They were warm and welcoming from the moment we got there and even came to our camp spot and introduced themselves and asked if we needed anything our first night. The location was perfect for exploring the best sites in Northern California and southern Oregon. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we will definitely be back!

  • This is a fantastic campsite with WIFI and showers and a pond. It is awesome, and not in the typical campground reservation system, so it’s actually available. The hosts were awesome and always came whenever we had any questions. It’s a beautiful area, only ~30 minutes to the world famous Oregon Caves!! Also, a float down the Klamath with Liquid Expeditions Rafting. They were AWESOME: www.liquidexpeditionsrafting.com BOTH ARE HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Super fun property with lots to do, main lodge is convenient and well appointed with games and breakfast/coffee. Easy drive to Cave Junction to get s'mores supplies and have a perfect evening by the campfire.

  • If you're the type who lingered at the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse at Disneyland (like my girlfriend) this is the place to stay. Be prepared to haul your suitcase up to the heights and the bridges do swing a bit, which adds to the charm. This is probably as close to the Disney attraction as you'll find in the US, despite the proliferation of treehouse accomodations throughout the country.

The home has all of the amenities you would need, is clean and is well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and will return again in the future. Our only issues were that our AT&T mobile phones had no service and the Internet was spotty. It worked well in the mornings but by evening it was hard to connect and keep a connection.

Located right off the 199 Redwood Highway, just minutes from town we welcome you to our forest sanctuary. The land holds a gorgeous five bedroom mid century modern home built in 1962. Cedar Bloom sits along a mile of the Illinois River. We have several swimming holes throughout the land. We are surrounded by beautiful scenery in all directions! We are close to the Redwoods, The Oregon Caves and much more. Major cities close by: Grants Pass, Medford, Crescent City & Ashland.
MORE ABOUT CEDAR BlOOM... Cedar Bloom was purchased in the spring of 2017 by Spirit Weavers Gathering as a place of peace and healing, for all walks of life. Spirit Weavers is an annual womens gathering which happens once a year each June. We host over 1,000 women in just two weeks on the land. We are located on the Illinois River just outside Cave Junction, Oregon. The town is just a 5 minute drive from the land so everything is very accessible. Our Main House was built in 1962 and retains the flavor of the 60’s with a beautiful Mid Century Modern feel. It houses a kitchen, dining hall, a living room, five bedrooms and three bathroom with a bathtub. The river overlook land is located right on top of the Illinois river with a 1 minute walk down to our own private riverside beach and swimming. There is just a 3 minute walk to the lands prestine swimming hole. Cell phone service works great if you have AT&T or Verizon. We have several giant meadows with thousands of trees surrounding. We are right on the Illinois River with a mile of river frontage and 3 incredible swim spots. It's a great place to come and recharge and renew. FIRST NATIONS PEOPLE OF THE ILLINOIS VALLEY For thousands of years, the Takelma people lived in the Illinois and Rogue River valleys, what is now known as Josephine County. They lived in small bands close to the land. Interior southwest Oregon has pronounced seasons and the ancient Takelma adapted to these seasons by spending spring, summer and early fall months collecting and storing food for the winter season. Salmon was central to their food source and way of life. The salmon diet was supplemented by game, such as deer, elk, beaver, bear, antelope and bighorn sheep. Smaller mammals, such as squirrels, rabbits and gophers, might have been snared by both men and women. They gathered the root of the Camas plant, part of the asparagus family, as well as acorns from the two native species of Oaks, the Oregon white oak and California black oak. Other vegetation included manzanita berries, pine nuts, tarweed seeds, wild plums and sunflowers. The Takelma are also known to have cultivated a native tobacco plant, but otherwise relied on the fruits of the wilderness for their survival. The main utensils included horn, bone and wood-made implements and a great variety of baskets constructed generally by twining on a hazel warp. Stone was used in the making of arrowheads and pestles. The clothing and personal adornment of the Takelma was similar to the tribes of northern California. Notable characteristics include facial painting, red-headed woodpecker scalps for men and basket caps for women. The women also tattooed the skin in three stripes and men tattooed the left arm. European Settlement of the Illinois Valley began by the 1830’s, as the gold and logging industries developed. By the end of 1856, the traditional residents of the Rogue and Illinois River valleys were forcibly removed and relocated to the Siletz Reservation on the central Oregon coast. The Takelma were joined on the reservations by their neighbors, the Athapaskans and the Shasta, as well as tribes from even farther away, such as the Coos and Tillamook. It is reported that by 1906 less than ten Takelma were alive and able to speak their native language. In 1994, for the first time in over 140 years, an ancient ceremony took place to welcome home and give thanks for the returning salmon, on the Kanaka Flats of the Applegate River. People of all heritages were welcomed at the annual Salmon Gathering on the Applegate River until 2006. In 2007, the ceremony was moved to the place where it was held for thousands of years: the Tilomikh (Powerhouse Falls), on the Rogue River near Gold Hill, Oregon. Since then, the ceremony has taken place annually in its traditional location, demonstrating that the Takelma culture is alive and will continue into the future. Today, Takelma descendents continue to reside on or near the Siletz and Grand Ronde reservations. The Pilgrims brought back the Salmon Ceremony to Southern Oregon. Due to the Pilgrim’s contribution in returning the Salmon Ceremony to Jackson County, Agnis Baker-Pilgrim is known to some locals as the ‘Keeper of the Sacred Salmon Ceremony. Agnes, one of the oldest grandmothers of the International Council of the 13 Indigenous Grandmothers, has returned to the Rogue Valley and today her voice can be heard strong and clear, proving that the spirit and blood of her people are still with us. PLANT & ANIMAL RELATIONS We are very fortunate to be surrounded by a widely diverse population of flora and fauna. As caretakers of this sacred land, we feel a strong responsibility to honor our plant and animal allies by not only protecting them and their habitat, but also to help educate others about what lives and grows here by providing people with opportunities to experience the beauty of these plants and animals for themselves. For this reason, We are honored to host the many different groups who will gather here on this land for learning and communing with the nature that flourishes here. We feel very fortunate to be involved in this process of helping promote a sustainable and abundant future for all living things on this planet by sharing knowledge and skills from the human past that can make a sustainable lifestyle a reality for everyone everywhere. The animals here include, but are not limited to deer, foxes, coyote, raccoon, skunks, and sometimes black bear though we havent seen any yet! The birds that surround us are migratory geese, quail, wild turkeys, hawks, ospreys and eagles. The fish that call the Illinois River their home are the Salmon People, Steelhead & Trout along with their friends the otter and ducks. The Land is a no-hunting zone so the animals here are abudant and safe. The plant life here is incredibly diverse. This land is home to many native grasses, ferns, and berries, wild flowers, as well as many other edible and medicinal plants and fungi such as mugwort, self-heal, soap root, and a variety of mushrooms. The tree population is a blend of hardwoods like Manzanita, Madrone, and several kinds of Oaks along with mature Fir, Pine, Cedar trees, Alder, Maple and Apples. With special attention to management of non-native and invasive plants, Spirit Weavers is committed to maintaining a well balanced forest ecosystem with high biodiversity. CLIMATE & THE ILLINOIS VALLEY Cedar Bloom holds the heart during the summer. Temps can range from 75-95 during the day and generally cools down to the 70's during the evenings. Swimming in the summer months is delicious. We have mostly pebbly beaches and a jagged rock and sand beach right where the Swimming hole is. The river is chilly until late June and it cools down again in late September. EMERGENCIES If someone needs to reach you in an emergency, Cell phones work great on the land. If you don't get service and need to contact someone our land phones are available. FOOD & WATER Town is close so if you need to run errands to grab food its a short 5 min drive away. All of our water is on a well and is super clean and ran through a UV light. GRATITUDE We feel honored to be stewards of this land. One of our main visions for this land is to protect its cultural and environmental heritage. We are excited to share about the native food forest we will be cultivating for the local community and beyond. We will also be placing the land into a conservation trust so no logging or future development can occur. For the many years to come, we will explore the ways can live in harmony with the natural world for the greater good of people and the plants and animals we depend on. We welcome you to Cedar Song! This is one room with twin bed and a private bath perfect for a solo traveller.
  • Had a minor hiccup with booking. Listing had the 'instant-book' option even though host did not intend for it to be so. Was given this room instead - https://www.airbnb.com.sg/rooms/2721504. No issue for me as a solo traveller. Nevertheless, very inviting host with great facilities, great place to meet interesting fellow travellers and Captain Drake's flying students. The view (and night sky) is amazing!

  • What an amazing experience! Wolf & Dawn are terrific hosts and make you feel very welcome in their amazing home, which is set high above Cave Junction with spectacular views. I chose the twin bed room with the private bath, but there are 2 other rooms and a nice bathroom. I felt very comfortable. We'll be back!

Unique architecture, rural setting, breathtaking views, close to airport. Hiking, swimming, and other outdoor activities are immediately available.
For rent here is a cozy room for $69/night. When you rent a room at the lodge you have full access to our kitchen which you're more than welcome to use our dishes, pots & pans etc. Enjoy a breathtaking view in our balcony, and the grounds. Free use of WiFi too. Captain Drake's lodge is a special and beautiful place. The lodge is perched atop a prominent hill that over looks the Siskiyou Mountains of northern California and offers breath taking views. The primary use of my lodge is to house aviation students that travel from out of the area to pursue their dreams of flight. However, my doors are also always open to folks that might not yet know they want to learn to pilot a small aircraft. Maybe they simply wish to stay the night or a week in a beautiful, relaxed, and comfortable hilltop lodge. There are many adventures to be found right out our door! Kayaking, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, zip-lining, wine tasting, caving, redwood forests, water falls, secret pools, museums and so on. If you have an interest , we can likely point you in the right direction to find your adventure! This room is a comfortable queen bed, desk, stocked with basic amenities, with extra sheets and pillows.

  • We had a great experience at our stay here. It's only a few miles off of 199 (about a 10 minute drive to downtown Cave Junction) & the signs were easy to follow, even at night. Check-in was a breeze. Everything was very clean and the view of the Siskiyou Mountains from the deck is awesome.

  • Expect a very steep climb - by car or walking - up to the house location. Great secluded place for those of us who like peace and quiet in the hills sometimes. And, if you time it right, an amazing series of nights with a full moon rising up from a gorgeous mountain range into a deep blue-black sky as seen from my bedroom window and the back (or is it the front?) of the house.

  • Wolf and Dhonne are great hosts! A fabulous vacation! Great tips on local activities! Or you can join the fun with Wolf, aka, Captain Drake, and take it aerial in an airplane, or gyro plane! Just hanging out in the hangar is fun too!

  • My husband and I were apprehensive before the trip since neither of us had stayed at a b&b before. Once we got the hang of being in someone else's house, I don't think we could have picked a better place for our first b&b. The view was fantastic, the house was beautiful, the hosts are hard working and so accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable, made for a very good sleep. We ate breakfast on the back porch to a calming view, listening to the birds and wind in the trees. All in all, it was what I needed for an impromptu vacation and we look forward to returning.
