We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning oven, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on our property. Next to the house is the bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, pure reduction!

Family Waldkauz's guest house in the middle of the forest

Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love them because of the heavenly tranquility, the little door in the woods and still only 20 km away to Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and larger groups. Unless it is about uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

Our charming half-timbered cottage has two bedrooms, a small bathroom, a kitchen with sitting area and a living room. On the ground floor there is a bedroom and the bathroom. Via the stairs in the hallway, you can reach the living room with access to the kitchen on the 1st floor. Another staircase in the living room leads you into the open gallery as a second sleeping area. In our basement there is enough space for your bikes.

The village is beautifully situated at 360 meters above sea level, right on the edge of the vast Habichtswald. Ideal for walking and tranquility. The historic old town of Melsungen offers the possibility to shop and has good restaurants.
