“What an awesome little find! Perfectly located to explore Skye. Lovely and cosy and warm. The shower room with the heated floor was very much welcome after a day braving the elements. The kitchen had everything we needed, once we had mastered the microwave dual oven we managed a couple of home cooked meals. The bedroom was comfy and plenty of storage space. Would highly this property, brilliant location and the hosts were so lovely!”
Clachan Bed & Breakfast as the name suggests, is situated on the opposite side of the road from the hugely popular and vibrant Clachan Bar. Opened in 2014 to rave reviews, Clachan B&B has enjoyed an excellent first year with many delighted guests.
“I loved this B&B! It’s small and cozy and in a perfect location. In close proximity to the Eilean Donan Castle so you can visit in the daylight and go back to see it lit up at night. The Clachan Bar was shut down for the season, but we were able to grab a bite to eat at the Dornie Hotel right next to us. The food was superb! Vivienne supplied our room with goodies so when we showed up our first day starving, we had access to croissants, meat and cheese right away. Toast, cereal, juice and milk were the right start the next morning. We spent one night because Dornie is so close to Isle of Skye. We spent the next night on Skye then returned to the Clachan B&B for a second stay. Great choice...just like seeing an old friend. You won’t regret staying here!!!”
The Chalet at Loch Dubh is a modern, self catering holiday cottage situated in the grounds of our Croft and enjoys an enviable, elevated position overlooking Lochcarron. It is a perfect base to explore the West Coast, Isle of Skye or the NC500.
“Beautiful cottage with a breathtaking view of the Loch. The house is very well equipped, we were welcomed by Emma. Note, there is a mini market in the village, which is very useful in a region that lacks a bit.”
