Kid-friendly holiday rentals in San Juan County

We had a lovely, peaceful stay. It was less than a 5 minute drive to some overlooks for beautiful sunsets. The tree net was fun and unique. It was strikingly quiet! The bathhouse worked just fine, close to the cabin and clean. The shower was nice and stocked with toiletries. The cabin was a perfect place to stay while exploring San Juan Island. Close to Lime Kiln by car. It was our first time visiting and we enjoyed cozying up in the cabin after a day of hiking or exploring. The French press and coffee were a major plus! We were charmed by the island and by the cabin. I frankly loved having no cell service (true for most of SJI for me—tip to Verizon users!), it was a forced disconnect. I downloaded the Google map in advance so I could use it offline, which was helpful in navigating. Raeleen was proactive with instructions and texted to check in after our first night. Thank you so much and we hope to visit again someday! Highly recommend if you want to go off the grid and recharge!

Bay #1 house was super clean and well organized. The location is perfect for a stay on Lopez Island because it is only a few minutes drive from the village and it’s also a reasonable distance to walk. The living room and porch have amazing views of the sunset across Fisherman Bay. The house is cozy and warm. Carole let us know all of the information we needed for a great stay!

Great spot with lots of places to sleep and hang out. Was perfect for our group. The nice deck with a great view of the sunset is a bonus!

Staying at Jason’s place was a pleasure. He was very responsive and flexible with check-in check out. Kudos to whoever designed and furnished the space. The design was super swanky and really helped us escape for our island visit. The bed and bedding was super comfortable. The shower was spacious with great dual showerheads. Best part is the location as it’s super walkable into town and we found a shortcut where we could take a short walk to the local brewery . Wonderful design great space.

Great place to stay in the middle of the village. Convenient walk for groceries and restaurants. Very quiet at night. Well lit loft with skylight for star gazing. Linnea was proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed for our week-long stay.

Wow, what an incredible property!! We had a wonderful stay and very much enjoyed the well-stocked kitchen, expansive deck, beautiful grounds, and private beach. It was such a peaceful place to spend a few days, and we hope to return. We were three families with three small children, and it was a perfect place for them to run around. Thank you Don and Kathy for opening your home up to us.

A lovely two-story guest house in a beautiful setting! The homeowners were nearby and made us feel very welcome. Our group had a wonderful and satisfying stay.

We had our second family reunion with all the kids coming home from college. We stayed at Anika’s wonderful home on Orcas Island and couldn’t be happier with the house, Anika’s attention to detail, cleanliness and Anika’s excellent and prompt communication. This house has a magic that is relaxing, fun, comfortable and reliable. We will be back in August 2025 for a week!

The living space was very comfortable and clean. The place had everything, plus more, that I needed. I particularly liked sitting out on the private deck overlooking a beautiful garden watching birds.

We had the best time at Ramy’s place! She is an incredible host with wonderful energy. This little slice of heaven is absolutely worth the visit. Bring cash for the boat ride and the farm stands! We will be visiting again!

Vicki is the consummate host and truly an ambassador for Orcas Island. She makes sure that you have the best guest experience but also have your privacy. She gives excellent recommendations for excursions and restaurants. Robin Song Studio has breathtaking views of the water and is nestled in the forest. It is such a cozy place. What a lovely space! I wish we had had more time to cozy up in the apartment, but we were gone for a lot of the stay. It was pristine, very comfortable and very well stocked. The only kind of interesting thing was the bed is rotated 90º, so one person has to sleep against the wall and crawl over the other if they need to get out. Also, definitely read the instructions on how to find the place because Google Maps took me around the back instead of up the driveway. Met all our expectations! The place was as charming as in the photos, quiet and clean and very homey. Great location, an easy walk to the town and its restaurants and brewery. We loved our stay and hope to return again soon. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at Alyce’s! My husband, toddler, baby, and I felt right at home and appreciated the incredible view and lack of clutter. The space was clean and tidy. One door was creaking and keeping our toddler up and when I messaged Alyce late at night asking if she had WD-40 I could spray the hinges with, her husband dropped some off before I checked my messages again! No more squeaky door! They also provided a pack and play and were friendly and quick to respond to questions. Would stay here again!

I booked this place for my elderly father and it worked out really nicely for him to walk around town and visit with my brother. He said the place was really nice and pleasant and felt homey.

Amazing location, and we were sooo impressed by the sound proofing in the windows. Even though it was right next to the harbor (very convenient) you couldn't hear anything except the horn of the ferry. No car noise, and there's a band that plays on the deck next door and you couldn't hear them at all unless you opened the windows. It was beautifully appointed. Felt high end, but not fussy. Had everything you needed for your stay on the island. Note if you have 2 couples like we did that one room has a beautiful view like from the living room, and the other has no view, so you draw straws or organize in advance so no one feels like they got the short end of the stick. We used the washer and dryer when we were there and was super easy. You can walk to everything in town. Would absolutely stay here again.

Love staying at this condo, just a few minutes walk to town. Mattress is A+. Highly recommend this air bnb.

Debbie's place was in a great location - 5 minute walk from the ferry and an easy walk to shops and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable. Make sure you ask right at check in for the murphy bed to be unlocked if you will need it (I had let her know ahead of time, but still had to ask when we got there for it to be unlocked)...that would be a mess if you find out that it is locked late at night when you're ready to get into bed. There is some road noise for the person sleeping in the living room, but it mostly disappeared after 10 PM and the white noise machine I brought with me took care of it before then. Overall, the place was perfect for our needs

Extremely clean, enjoyed the modern finishes and open plan. Arrive when there’s daylight, it’s not easy to spot the condo in the dark.

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Springtree Suite. The location is super walkable and convenient as it is right in the heart of Friday Harbor, close to the restaurants, shops, and ferry terminal in the island. The place is impeccably clean, with all the amenities as described in the listing. We love that there is a full kitchen for cooking meals. David is such a gracious host, and even helped us get a discount on our ferry ride. We felt right at home during our stay and highly recommend Springtree Suite to anyone looking for a convenient and lovely place to stay while in the San Juan Islands!

What a great location, beautiful, comfortable space. Loved the steam shower. We'll be back.

Leith's studio apartment is quiet, yet a walk around the corner from the main street. The views of the East Sound and surrounding landscape from the high up deck are beautiful. The interior is artfully well-appointed and equipped.
