Kid-friendly holiday rentals in San Lawrenz

There is something magical about staying in the heart of Mdina!! And despite the impracticalities, we’d happily do it again!! This place is a real unique find!!!! We loved being able to walk around after the tourists had left and enjoy the magic of the place. It’s really ‘money can’t buy’ stuff. The property is exactly as described - not for you if you want luxury and all the modern conveniences - it’s quirky and a bit of an odd layout. It can also be a bit of a challenge with parking/traffic - we struggled one day and can’t imagine what it might be like in the height of summer. Would highly recommend coming up the back way to Greek’s Gate via Triq l-Għarreqin. I would say from 7am - 9pm it can be quite loud, but we were out and about so didn’t bother us. It may sound like we’re being negative, but we’re not… we just think this property deserves guests who appreciate it for what it is and don’t expect it to be something else. This is an excellent rustic villa in lovely village of Munxar, Gozo close to a small shop and a short scenic drive to Xlendi Bay with nice sea front restaurants. The home itself has an excellent host with large 4 double/twin bedrooms, nicely decorated and kept nice and clean with good comfy beds and all amenities, just a home from home. It has a private outdoor pool and nice sun beds although a bit cool for our Easter break in April. Rental car is a must for sightseeing and travelling around the island and Xlendi Bay and you can park just opposite the house. Malta as an island is more popular with tourists and therefore more busy but you can stay in Gozo in this lovely house for some peaceful time allowing warm sunny weather.

Had the most relaxing, beautiful stay with Seth. The area is quiet and peaceful. Great host, very helpful. Will hopefully return very soon.

The farmhouse was an amazing location, perfect for all of our needs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Joe was very helpful and responsive and very keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at Duncan's place for nearly 3 months. Felt very much at home. The location was ideal and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and in Gozo. Would thoroughly recommend.

Have just returned from 2 fabulous weeks at Christian and Lara’s beautiful farmhouse and fully concur with the previous positive reviews. If anything the whole experience exceeded our expectations from first communication to the day we left. There is a parking space but car rental really isn’t necessary as the bus service is excellent and provides access all over the island. A 7 day bus pass (tallinja card 25€) allows unlimited travel on all services on Malta and Gozo including the express bus to and from the airport. Taxis are plentiful and good value with an Uber from Gozo ferry terminal to the property for under 10€. The hourly Gozo fast ferry is also great value and takes only 45mins to Valletta. Christian and Lara are lovely hosts and they have obviously put in a great deal of effort and attention in providing everything you need to make your holiday truly memorable. Absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending.

Victoria’s home is a charming, peaceful and beautifully furnished accommodation in Gozo. We enjoyed sitting in the central courtyard and drinking a glass of wine on the rooftop in the evening. We prepared all our dinners and were very pleased to have a kitchen with plenty of cooking equipment. There was a full spice rack and a basil plant that we snipped to garnish our food. It is in a great location for exploring the streets around town and is nearby to shops, restaurants and a grocery store. It is a short walk to visit the Citadella. We easily traveled from the house by Bolt to the seaside at Dwejra and to Hondoq Bay for kayaking. The travel guide we received from Victoria before arrival gave us all the information we needed to get from the airport to Gozo by taxi and ferry. Thank-you, Victoria. You thought of everything your guests would need. We thought your holiday home was very special and has become one of our favorites.

Fantastic stay at this wonderfully spacious Apartement with views to die for. We loved basing ourselves in Xlendi having stayed in Victoria & Valletta on a previous trip. The photos show the front of the flat, balcony and views but we were surprised how big the rest of it was including 3 bedrooms (1 en-suite plus 1 family bathroom). Parking in public car park or up the road was fine all week except Sunday afternoon when everyone visits for seafood lunch and it’s busy. Lovely local walks to the fort, salt pans and nuns bathing pool on foot. Easy to walk down to the water and swim from the rocks. Lots of locals and tourists on holiday in May, so busy but quieter when the daytrippers/ quad bike convoys finished for the day. You won’t regret staying here but a hire car is important to make the most of what Gozo has to offer.

If you plan to stay in Gozo , then go in the direction of marsalforn and go to Ritienne value for money you will find better spacious clean apartment very well equipped frankly nothing to complain about and everything is nearby ....and what to say about the host, great communication,very nice ,attentive In short, I had a great stay , thank you Ritienne

A beautiful view from both sides. It was cozy and the air conditioning saved us haha. This apartment is great value for money and Marthese was very friendly and answered quickly. We were very satisfied with the experience, thank you Marthese!

This is a fabulous, spacious, modern apartment. Everything looks new, and it's amazing value for money. Very good aircon is included, which I used sparingly, as it's expensive for the host. Location is between Ramla beach (best in Gozo) and Xaghra village (lovely square with about 8 good restaurants/bars). Both are about 15 min walk, or 5 euros in a Bolt. Host was excellent, really helpful & friendly, fast responses to queries. Allowing me late checkout was very much appreciated. Wifi was perfect. Small supermarket J+M stores is only 550m walk away down a pretty country lane. Gozo is such a good place to get away from the rat race and unwind a bit. I very much enjoyed exploring on a 125cc moped from hire company in Marsalforn. I would definitely come back to this apartment, it was a lovely stay, thank you :-)

We had an unforgettable holiday on Gozo, and a huge part of that was thanks to the amazing place we stayed at, hosted by Sandra. The home was absolutely perfect – spotlessly clean, very spacious, beautifully decorated, and extremely well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location was also fantastic – peaceful, picturesque, and ideally situated for exploring the island. Sandra herself was a wonderful host – incredibly helpful, kind, and always available whenever we needed anything. Her care and attention made our stay completely hassle-free and truly enjoyable. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Gozo. We would absolutely love to come back!

Excellent place everything is perfect, the location is ideal for being by the sea, close to the city center and with public transport

The apartment was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed, plus some lovely extras like fresh coffee and an ironing board. The washing machine’s 15-minute cycle was especially handy for a quick turnaround of clothes. The views from the apartment were extraordinary, both during the day and at night. We didn’t use any of the common areas of the apartment block and wouldn’t have used the pool, so we can’t comment on those. The apartment was ideal for our holiday. We had a car and spent our 10-day stay exploring Gozo and Malta with ease. We would happily stay again if the mattress is replaced—it was very, very uncomfortable. Aside from that it was a great stay. Thank you!

We stayed in four properties during our trip to Malta & Gozo. This was by far the most professional and communicative host with the highest standard. The property has been cleverly thought through- from potato peelers and cheese graters to deckchairs- they are excellent quality. You are made to feel that you are valued and the host has not provided you with cheap utensils. The finish overall was amazing. It was well stocked with everything- indoor and pool towels. The tv is easy to use- we got Amazon Prime working easily. The pool is gorgeous and very peaceful. We felt safe as a family of four and found getting places using Bolt no problem.

We appreciated the use of a washer but we only needed to use the dryer once as there was a clothes rack available and with the hot weather in Gozo the clothes dried in a half day in the house on the rack. Also there were some cooking supplies available and other supplies stocked when we came which made it so much easier when we walked in the door that we didnt have to rush out to buy shopping right away after a long flight. We had a couple of little repairs that had to be done such as plugs for kitchen sink and told Clayton we replaced us and he immediately refunded us the cost which was very nice of him.

Great accommodation. New furniture, large balcony with beautiful view. Well located, you don't have to walk far for restaurants. You just have to be aware that the accommodation is located at the port. So, it can get a little louder.

Spacious and modern apartment, within walking distance to all the things to do and see in Valletta. There are a few steps to navigate as you enter the apartment but well communicated in the listing. Really enjoyed the convenience, we stayed for only a short trip but there was a washer included which is perfect for longer trips. Highly recommended!
