The apartment is very nice, well maintained and spacious. The equipment of the apartment leaves nothing to be desired. The light-filled rooms invite you to linger. On the terrace you can enjoy the fantastic evening moods. The location of the apartment is perfect. On the one hand, it is nestled in beautiful nature in an absolutely quiet location, on the other hand you are very quickly on the Elbe and in the old town of Dresden. What a place!! Wonderful apartment steeped in history. Super clean comfy and well equipped. Arnoud was so friendly and helpful. Nice pool and bar snacks etc too. So pleased to find this place.

We were able to book the "Alte Rentei" very spontaneously and it was much better than we imagined. We didn't know exactly when we would arrive. But this was absolutely no problem. When we drove into the small parking lot, we were already very impressed by the whole castle. One call and Mila came as agreed to open the gate for us. She was very nice and friendly. The room was also very impressive and exactly as we had imagined it. Very clean, warm and a really nice atmosphere. Everything was very quiet and peaceful all around. No haunting or a castle ghost (which you would normally associate with such an old castle). Everything is beautifully maintained and well preserved. Anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful castle like in the old days is in the right place here. We'd love to come back with a little more time! Many thanks to Mila and the host. We stayed here as a family of three and it was a lovely stay. The accommodation was very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The play area for children was a very nice touch.

Our Favorite Airbnb Yet—Absolutely Stunning! This stay exceeded all expectations! From the outstanding host to the impeccable home, every detail was perfect. The space is even more beautiful in person—photos don’t do it justice. We especially appreciated the clear, detailed check-out instructions and the spotless cleanliness, even in hidden corners. Mario isn’t just a fantastic host; he’s also a brilliant mind! We were impressed by his creative touches throughout the house, especially the ingenious bedside lamps/charging stations—such a thoughtful and unique upgrade. Our family loved feeling like royalty (or medieval knights!) among the grand decor and historic weaponry displays. It was a truly unique and unforgettable experience.

Wow, this place is really amazing. We were travelling the two of us together with our dogs by car from Sweden. First we had to decide which room to sleep in, which was not easy ;) Then we cooked dinner and had a nice cup of coffe. We took a short walk in the beatiful garden. A beautiful and calm place which we really can recommend 😊

Ottenhain Castle, formerly a manor house, is almost a must-see in the region. Susanne and Klaus, "the lords of the castle", live on the ground floor. They have a very sweet dog who is only allergic to the doorbell. Susanne gave us a short tour of the castle and park and showed us the apartment. A total of three apartments are available. also asks about the tower climb! It's a pleasure. Furthermore, there is a library and a campfire area. On the ground floor and 1st floor, renovation work is still taking place. It will probably take a little longer until it shines in its former glory. It is intended for public events and will benefit the village. There was a safe place to park our bicycles. It enjoyed it very much.

A small castle directly on the mountain. Picturesque little gardens and lots of nature. We were traveling with 2 large dogs and were really surprised by the spacious "room" (surely a good 90 sqm). If you don't want to/can't cater for yourself, you should definitely make a detour to the Western Inn - breakfast, lunch and dinner are available there. Since a federal highway runs directly through the village, the connection to Dresden and the surrounding area is also easily feasible. All in all, a great stay to relax. Always happy to come back. Thank you
