Cottage holiday rentals in Scottish Borders

Had such a lovely stay at Ashley & Simon's cottage. Me and my boyfriend felt right at home as soon as we got there and both hosts were so friendly from the get go. The decor was stunning and so homely - loved the artwork in the bedroom! Everything we needed was already equipped in the cottage. The bed was SUPER comfy and the hot tub was a great way to end our little week away 😍🛀 Would definitely stay here again if ever in Kelso! Highly recommend! ⭐️

Probably the best Air B&B we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot! Fabulous scenery with wildlife outside your door. Welcome pack included roses, wine and the best home made lemon drizzle cake we’ve ever tasted. Unfortunately we had to leave a couple of days early due to my health, but we will be back at some stage, that’s for sure.

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely stay at this cottage . Near to Edinburgh as my son was doing the marathon but in a lovely location . Kylie was response to our messages and a lovely homemade loaf gave that extra touch for our arrival . Would definitely recommend and stay again .

We had a fantastic stay at Jane’s cottage. The kids loved the hot tub in particular and our evenings were very cosy in front of the wood fired stove.

Great stay in Philippa’s place, very cosy and set out in the countryside. Would definitely come back for some quiet time.

Absolutely fantastic stay !! The most beautiful property and location! Excellent hosts who made us feel extremely welcome and gave us lots of information and top tips for eating out and exploring. Fantastic stay at the Coach House - thanks Kirsty! Set in a beautiful and peaceful location but very accessible to get into Edinburgh city centre and to explore other areas within East Lothian! Local highlight was Humbie Woods - ancient woodland on the other side of the village. During our 3 night stay with two children we visited Dalkeith Country park (for the adventure fort and Go Ape), Vogrie Country park, North Berwick, and Longniddry. Plenty to see and do!

We were three adults, retirement age, in the Borders for the Melrose Sevens Rugby tournament, and stayed 6 nights. Dairy Cottage was a really excellent choice of accommodation, equipped with everything we could need, and really comfortable. The setting - in the grounds of an estate with a "grand house" - was delightful: green woodland with what seems like miles of paths and loops for limitless choices of walks. The gardens are really well-kept and tended, and the lake is beautiful. No doubt it is a great habitat for all sorts of wildlife, and indeed I have never heard such LOUD and varied birdsong! It's a very short walk (typically 6 minutes for me) into Selkirk town, where we patronised 5 different places for evening meals, all of which were very good. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Thankyou Michelle and your fellow Trustees for caring for this lovely place.

We had a superb stay at Diane's cottage. We were wowed from the moment we walked through the door! Everywhere was spotlessly clean and there is everything you could possibly need for a weekend or longer break. The kitchen and shower room were particularly impressive and superbly equipped. We greatly appreciated the complimentary coffee, milk and nibbles and our dog, Dougie enjoyed his treats, too! The cottage is well located for enjoying the beautiful Northumberland countryside and we had 2 fabulous, if a little wet, days walking and immersing ourselves in all things Roman at Hadrian's Wall and Housesteads Roman Fort. We ate at the dog friendly Cheviot hotel and enjoyed a fab curry from Reezek. We didn't have time to really explore Bellingham, but it seems like a friendly place to be. All in all, we would definitely recommend Diane's cottage and hope to return sometime soon.

Really good value, central location, very responsive and flexible host, allowed us to stay a little longer with no issue, clear instructions and easy to get in.

We had a very restful and relaxing stay at Jo's house for three weeks. The farm is in a stunning location with lots of beautiful walks from the door and lots to see in the locality with a host of good recommendations in the information pack supplied by Jo. The house was comfortable and had pretty much all one might need for longer stay. The weather was glorious throughout our stay which was very welcomed.

Unfortunately, I haven‘t been in the AirBNB myself as I booked the cottage for my mum and her partner, but they said they very much enjoyed their stay and felt at home. The communication with Suzie and Glenn was great and they were very helpful! Thank you 💛

Emmie was commutative and helpful to accommodate our changes in arrival and departure times. Found a way to help and the accommodation was clean and ready for us. The accommodation is extremely well situated and has a relaxed feel

This is a stunning, peaceful and really lovely place to stay. Set in beautiful surroundings with all that the Borders has to offer in terms of scenery and nature and yet close to the nearby towns with great pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops and people. The annex is clean, welcoming, well equipped, comfortable and homely with everything you could need...a home away from home. Nice little touches like fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, tea and coffee await you. Harry was really responsive, friendly and helpful with recommendations and advice. We especially loved the conservatory and private garden. Thank you very much for a fabulous stay.

Another great find with everything thought of. Clean & comfortable in very peaceful surroundings. Don't trust the SATNAV as pointed out by very helpful host Sarah ! Follow her instructions. Will be back again for sure.

Beautiful home with everything that we required. Sharp knives...that's a first!! Great to have foil, cling wrap etc.

Me and my partner stayed here for 5 nights, every single night was the best! We didn't do much walking, as we stayed in the house a lot of the time as we wanted to have a relaxing 5 days cooking and baking together/watching films. However, there is areas around to go on walks. Max was really responsive and great with recommending what to do if you are stuck for ideas! it was extremely peaceful and quiet every day and night! Thank you :)

Wonderful stay near Rosslyn Chapel. Gorgeous view, enchanting garden, and lovely sunroom. The living room converts into a nice second bedroom. We had a great time!

Can't wait to visit again. The place was everything we expected and more. The layout was really well thought out and luxurious. We also loved the added touches of freshly made bread and local honey.

Really beautiful couple nights away with my partner. Just what we needed for a bank hol disconnect from the world - Plenty of gorgeous hikes around the area, a pub on your doorstep, friendly hosts and a nice cosy peaceful cottage!
