Family-friendly holiday rentals in Scottish Borders

Great location. Clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Only short walk to grass market area, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was immaculate which made it comfortable to relax. The hot tub was a highlight for the whole family. The water was sparkling clean. The location was picturesque & convenient. We had a great time cycling & visiting local attractions.

We visited with 2 children, a baby and a dog. It was quite cramped but we knew this would be the case when we booked. The setting is beautiful with a lovely enclosed garden and private hot tub area. Emma was very responsive to all Messages sent before our stay clarifying things that were included such as the size of the dog crate, and also whilst we were there. The bothy was clean and had lovely extra touches such a dog treats and a welcome hamper. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Really lovely place set in the countryside. The place is very modern and looks great. It is a quiet peaceful site. The hot tub is a great addition to the outside space. There was a booklet of recommendations to visit and we did a few, so this was appreciated.

Enjoyed our stay at such a creative and beautiful airbnb. It was a new experiencefor us staying in the countryside enjoying the sunset, BBQ, bathtub and feeding the animals. Sandy was a great host. She showed us around and helped us alot with our transportation. Much appreciation.

Kennels Cottage was everything and more. The perfect base for a relaxing getaway. While being spoilt with the weather, after a day exploring the grounds and surrounding areas, the hot tub was the ideal end when the cooler evenings set in. Peaceful surroundings, beautiful gardens and the cottage had everything we needed, set up and ready on arrival with a delicious lemon drizzle waiting. Check in was quick, easy and painless, Olly was always on hand to answer any questions and even supplied us with some rackets and balls to have a go in the tennis court. Would return in a heartbeat and 100% recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Jane’s cottage. The kids loved the hot tub in particular and our evenings were very cosy in front of the wood fired stove.

This apartment was perfect for our family of 8. Great location with many restaurants in the area. Easy access to bus service for city center. Facilities had everything we needed. Perfect place.

Lovely place (especially when combined with the full trail house), very close to Glentress and easy access to Innerleithen by bike or car. Well kitted out for groups of outdoor enthusiasts

We are returning guests to this lovely cottage in Norham. Amazing location with lovely walks right from the doorstep. The accommodation is comfortable, homely and quirky. Slept very well. Lovely touch of a gift for dog on arrival. Outside space is a lovely private and secure sun trap. We will definitely be back!

Stunning house with so much character. We had a really wonderful family weekend exploring this beautiful part of Scotland.

The house is spacious and well-furnished, providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. Ronnie is a friendly and helpful host who responded quickly to our inquiries. He is also very generous, offering plenty of biscuits, cereal, tea, and coffee. Additionally, he kindly returned an ear pod that we accidentally left behind after checkout. We highly recommend spending time at his house when you visit Edinburgh.

Great place in Edinburgh! It is a little ways from the main downtown but that’s a good thing since the royal mile is way too crowded, loud and crazy. There are restaurants, coffee shops and a grocery store super close. The apartment is spacious, beautiful and comfortable!

Anna‘s place is located in a very quiet neighborhood, but close walking distance to Grass Market and the Royal Mile. It felt very homey and extremely spacious. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. Even though there was a slight unpleasant musty odor coming from the shower drain, it did not dampen our visit here and the odor remained only in that room. Everything else was super clean and wonderful. I would definitely stay here again.

The pictures genuinely do not do this place justice, the apartment was so stunning we didn’t want to leave Grounds are gorgeous and lots of wildlife around, we didn’t do any activities but there’s lots to do at the castle If you’re wanting to eat out in the local town book ahead as the restaurants fill up very quickly

We had a fantastic stay at Anke’s place in Shaftesbury! The location was ideal—just a short walk to the canal and within easy walking distance to Edinburgh city centre. There was a great local restaurant nearby called Gio, and a supermarket just around the corner, which made everything super convenient. The house was spotless and incredibly well-equipped—we didn’t need a thing. It truly felt like a home away from home. Anke was a wonderful host—very kind and attentive. She even surprised my husband with a birthday card and a bottle of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and made our stay extra special. Would absolutely recommend this place and would love to come back!

This is a stunning, peaceful and really lovely place to stay. Set in beautiful surroundings with all that the Borders has to offer in terms of scenery and nature and yet close to the nearby towns with great pubs, cafes, restaurants, shops and people. The annex is clean, welcoming, well equipped, comfortable and homely with everything you could need...a home away from home. Nice little touches like fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, tea and coffee await you. Harry was really responsive, friendly and helpful with recommendations and advice. We especially loved the conservatory and private garden. Thank you very much for a fabulous stay.

A lovely property in a great location. The house is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and lovely bedroom. It is an ideal base for exploring this area of Northumberland, which is very attractive.(We were walking the northern stages of the Pennine Way.)

Stayed for 3 nights for the Edinburgh Marathon! Lovely spacious accommodation with a fully equipped kitchen and everything you need for a nice relaxing stay. Location is in easy walking reach of the main attractions. Thanks

Lovely little place very handy for concerts etc at Murrayfield. The apartment is spacious and well maintained, very clean and comfortable - exactly what you need for a couple of nights. Janet is a lovely hostess. Very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. She was really helpful with directions to the stadium and recommendations for the area - the Brass Monkey pub is great. She added little extras in the room like bread and butter and jam if you like a bit of toast for breakfast it’s perfect. Plenty tea and coffee and milk in the fridge too. She also allows you to use her kitchen if you do want to cook anything - we didn’t use it but thought it was a very kind gesture given it’s her private home.

Highly recommend Vanessa’s place if your are visiting North Berwick. Very homey place with beautiful views and a very responsive host. Great location, as long as you have a car!

We loved our stay at the Snug - a short walk from supermarkets and the city centre (approx 25mins), plus local shops. The walk to the centre was free-lined and felt safe! The apartment was cosy and comfortable for 2 adults, and the water pressure/temperature was great. Decor felt homely and featured plenty of local touches which we loved!! Gabriella was flexible, friendly, professional, patient and receptive to feedback. For the price + amenities, we’d definitely choose to stay here again if visiting the city!
