It has been gradually renovated and revitalized (currently in the process of revitalization), with features such as white plastered earthen walls and natural Kenji-ji bamboo fences.Originally an old house opened as an almost 100% inbound accommodation.We are conducting a semi open-air bath in the interior of the warehouse and renovation work centered around the water. ■ Soothing moss garden ■ There are three moss gardens: the front garden, the middle garden, and the back garden. Well water flows everywhere, including through the water basin, the ladle, the deer stone, the stream between the stepping stones, and the pond. The pond is home to koi, goldfish, medaka, tanago, and river shrimp, and is a biotope space visited by wild birds. ■ Chick-in lounge (cafe/bar space), souvenir corner ■ You can drink authentic cocktails on the first floor of the main building.There is a souvenir corner with imported interior goods, accessories, natural stone, and other items from Japan, Bali, and other overseas locations.

Spend a relaxing time with friends around the Irori fireplace. You can enjoy the Goemon bath, kamado, and old-fashioned slow life while feeling the season with the wind and sky patterns (there is a cassette stove, IH heater, and shower). You can also cook with a wood stove and BBQ outdoors. 　10 minutes by car from Izumo City Station. Izumo Taisha is 25 minutes away. There is also a hot spring nearby. The 20 tatami mat Japanese-style room is a private bedroom, and the kitchen and toilet are shared. There is a design office in the warehouse, and I work from 8:30 am to 6 pm on weekdays. You can also use the thatched cottage with a good view. 　There is also air conditioning, but in the summer, if you open the veranda and hang a mosquito net, the summer night breeze will invite you to sleep comfortably. From spring to autumn, you can hear the nostalgic sounds of frogs, cicadas, and bell crickets. 　If you are unfamiliar with charcoal or fire, I can help you if the timing is right. Firewood is free, but please bring your own BBQ charcoal if you use the sunken hearth. It is 1.6 km to the supermarket and 5 km to Izumo Station. It feels good to walk or jog along the Tanabe-michi Road and Kawato-te in the early morning. Please keep pets on the dirt floor. In July and August, please pick blueberries from the garden.

There are two spacious bedrooms and a dining space in a large Japanese-style room. You can enjoy the Japanese countryside comfortably and at your own pace. A 222-year-old traditional house in the center of Tsumago-juku is available for rent as a spacious, fully private space!

This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！

Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
