This accommodation is a private resort called "Private Resort Hoshike", located in a villa area about 7 minutes by car from Lake Yamanaka, which was renovated by a designer in November 2025. In a calm, modern Japanese space that makes use of the warmth of wood, you can see the magnificent Mt. Fuji in front of you from the room and the terrace. If you go out to the terrace, you can enjoy a relaxing BBQ with Mt. Fuji in the background. Spending time looking at Mt. Fuji, which changes its appearance depending on the season and time of day, is a special experience that can only be enjoyed here. ▫️ Notes ▫️ About the natural environment. It is a natural environment. We take measures to prevent insects from entering the room, but it is difficult to completely prevent them, so we do not recommend staying here if you are not good with insects. We renovated a 160-year-old traditional house in 2023. The total site is 700 tsubo (2300 m ²), and the building is 170 m ², making it very spacious. While it is an 8-minute drive to Kumamoto Castle, it is a cottage where you can relax and unwind away from the hustle and bustle. The garden is full of trees and flowers, including a large camphor tree that has been there for over 160 years, black pines, Japanese maples, and bamboo forests, so you can enjoy the trees and flowers in all seasons. The host lives in the adjacent building, so you can feel at home. Take a big, deep breath and refresh yourself from the heart. ●Here’s what you need to know · There are many mosquitoes and insects because there is a garden with many trees. If you don't like insects, it may be difficult to enjoy. The facility is located in a very quiet residential area. Please refrain from having loud conversations in the garden or on the deck after 8 pm.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.
