Lodge StackPoint
Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

Guesthouse in front of the blue sea! Chiba Onjuku
My few nights stay was super relaxed and I felt right at home. all of the employees here were very welcoming. Great place to meet travellers while you whip up a meal in the shared kitchen or while surfing the waves right out the front door!

Guesthouse in front of the blue sea! Chiba Onjuku
It was our second stay!Thank you very much for responding to my request to have a different room than the previous one, and for preparing a room with a view of the sea. The room, sink, and bath were clean. One of the purposes of traveling was to relax alone, but we had a very comfortable stay. I want to use it again when I go to the inn!

305:Quixote Private Suite Bright Lake View
This place is our new spiritual home, we absolutely loved it! The house is a 20 year project - beautifully crafted by the Kind-hearted artist Kazuki-San. We stayed in the knights room, perfectly equipped to cook and relax, with a magical view and wide balcony. There is a mezzanine, where you sleep, which is so comforting and fun to rest on. From the house, you can do some stunning hikes in the Hira mountain range, challenging but great for adventures. A train ride away is another fun hike to Yobai falls. There is also a local ceramics studio and Oberton, with great coffee. The most special thing though was Kazuki-San, who took the time to guide us to some local rural spots, we went to a sake factory, ate sakura mochi on the Otsu bridge, saw the oldest trade route in Japan and an exhibition studio with other local artists after which we enjoyed a lovely portion of Soba Noodles together. There is a special place in our hearts for this experience, we can’t wait to return and be reunited.

Chalet - 2 Futon beds - Share bathroom
The place is secluded, tug a few hundred meters away from the busy main town, yet very accessible to the town and ski resort by foot. I came in the winter and the scenery is just unreal. The house itself is wooden structure and it's warm and very cozy, feel right at home. Even though it is shared bathroom and toilet, they were all maintained very well and clean. I stayed in a single room that is actually large enough to fit three people, which made me very comfortable. Lastly, Ado is an amazing person, straight forward, reasonable, helpful, cool and very friendly. The other staffs were also very chill to vibe with. Overall, my stay here was excellent, and I would recommend this place to anyone who is in no hurry, and just want a place to chill, or just want a cozy place to rewind after a long day of adventure out there. 這間乾淨,溫暖,老闆員工好相處,非常酷又很有家的感覺。是個出去玩一天後可以好好休息的地方。

Myoko Guest House Bunk | 2nd Triple room
We had an amazing stay at Guest House Bunk in Myoko! The rooms were spotlessly clean, including the bathroom and the Onsen, which was a perfect way to relax after a long day on the slopes. The whole place had a great vibe—tidy, comfortable, and well-maintained. Sasa, the host, really made the experience memorable. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of dishes. He was incredibly flexible, dropping us off and picking us up at the ski resorts every day, which made our lives so much easier. Another big plus was the ample storage for ski equipment. The drying room for wet gear was huge, and everything we needed was there to keep our gear in top condition. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Myoko—great location, fantastic host, and excellent facilities!

Weekly Stays: Konosu Onsen & Akiu-Canada
Akiu Canada is a very unique place to stay - old traditional Japanese style inn with wooden floors, sliding doors and authentic old style furniture. To stay in this house with a long history is a very memorable experience in itself. Steve was very accommodating and friendly, and helped to get in/out to the station by providing a taxi service for a very reasonable fee. Note: the location is quite remote, with only few buses per day, so if you want to go out everyday to the city, it's not the most convenient place for that. Shopping and dining options nearby are limited. The place is old: meaning not everything is perfect, and if staying in late autumn, it can get chilly in the common areas. But inside the room it's warm with the heater. On the upside the vibe and atmosphere is super cool (if you're into experiencing authentic Japanese inn) and there's a real onsen inside the inn, which is awesome. Highlight for me was a river walk with Steve and another guest. Really fun experience!

Tenjin Lodge Minakami, Japanese Style Tatami Room
Great lodge. Booked a tatami room, which was right above a whitewater river. Opened the window slightly and that background sound resulted in the best nights sleep I’ve had in a while. Nice lodge, has all you need. Kieren is a great host. Knows lots about the area Inc tips on the local onsen

Great value onsen hotel. Smarter than the photos or price lead you to think. I stayed in a Japanese style room, which was very spacious. It had its own balcony, a separate seating area by the windows with fridge and teapots, mugs, etc, and a large living / sleeping space. There is an ensuite toilet and sink but the shower is in the onsen on the first floor. I received detailed check in instructions for self check in but there was a receptionist there between 4-11pm on the days I stayed so they checked me in when I arrived. The hotel is located up a hill. This means it is peaceful with super views down the mountain to the sea. However, unless you have a car you will probably rely on the local bus. It is every 40 mins and is very reliable. It departs from across the road from Kinomiya station at 14, 54 and 34 mins past the hour and drops you about 2-3 mins walk from the hotel. It is the number 11 to Ainohara. You can also pick it up from Atami station.

Private Room w/ Ensuite Bathroom in Madarao Kogen
The lodge is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and a serene atmosphere. The rooms are not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable and tastefully decorated. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations for local attractions. The breakfast was not only delicious but also varied and plentiful. We especially enjoyed the fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the homemade sourdough bread. Thank you for everything.

The description was polite and easy to understand, and we had a very pleasant time!

Kizuna Lodge: Queen room with bath & breakfast
Happo-One resort area is pretty dead in May. Very peaceful 3 days. Very few restaurants open. Kizuna Lodge is cozy with very friendly staff. Breakfasts were good. Decent amount of space in the room. 10 minute walk to the Happo-One bus station and the Lawson store. Would love to come here in the winter during ski season.

G.O.A.T-O:Tranquil Sauna Retreat with Free Shuttle
It was a great place to stay with no complaints.I was nervous because I was a beginner, such as ignition of the sauna and BBQ, and the management of firewood, but I was able to see the instructions in a video that was easy to understand, so I was able to remember it right away. The sauna was well hot, and the water bath and open-air jacuzzi were excellent.I also liked the amenity tree toothbrushes. There were also a lot of towels, which was very helpful.I was able to spend a relaxing time in a private space without worrying about the sound of the neighbors, and my dog seemed to have a lot of fun running around the grass.I was quick to respond to emails with my host, Toshi, and I felt safe.I wish I could have stayed one more night.I will definitely stay again!

Cabin House (Pet Friendly)
We had a good time staying with our 7-month old and our labrador. We stayed in the wintertime so we definitely enjoyed warming up at the sauna and in front of the bonfire. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our dog got along well with the resident dog. We hope we can visit again in the summertime.

Amazing country house for 15 people!
We stayed one night with a group of 15 friends. The space was spotless, the rooms comfortable, the Onsen relaxing, and the garden perfect for a small campfire. I highly recommend it!

A forest and plant accommodation on the shore of Lake Ippeki ① 15 people
Thanks for your hospitality!I used it for my graduation trip with college sync, but I relaxed without worrying about other guests! There is also a BBQ on the nice kitchen terrace, and I am very satisfied! The space like Europe is also very cute and we would definitely stay again!
