The Markthaus is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruin on the romantic Malerweg. The vaulted cellar and foundation walls date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a rest stop, post office and inn. In 1850, a massive extension was built in the classicist style. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

Wir liegen direkt am Nationalpark Sächsische Schweiz und am Kirnitzschtal. Direkt am Waldrand und am Dorfende kann man die Ruhe genießen und sich erholen. Man kann also direkt loswandern. Ab sofort kann unsere Sauna im Aussenbereich gegen Gebühr genutztbwerden. Die traditionelle Kirnitzschtalbahn hält in 20 min. Fußweg, mit der kann man durchs Tal bis Bad Schandau fahren. Zzgl. Kurtaxe, dafür erhält man die Gästekarte.
