The apartment was really nice and the view is stunning. Everything was as described and Mauro was really great and was giving us great local recommendations.

The special location of the house above the sea and the large terrace are more beautiful than can be conveyed in any picture. House and kitchen are very well equipped, cooking and enjoying on the terrace was a great pleasure. The entire property, but also the region, is a green oasis. The house was built and furnished for private use, the history of the owners gives it a very personal atmosphere, a beautiful enrichment for us. Nicolo was available for questions at any time, his assistant quickly on site, if necessary. Down in Scario, there is a well-equipped supermarket and some restaurants, the promenade and harbor are quiet and tranquil, a small bay invites you to swim, the nature reserve behind the house to hike.

Breathtaking house with stunning views of Matera and walking distance to everything. The host Tudor was a pleasure, friendly, welcoming and his personality contributed to the overall charm of the experience. He also goes out of his way to help you with luggage upon arrival, and is very responsive to questions and happily made dinner reservations for us. We especially loved the restaurant Austin. The space is full of character, with different rooms including a 7,000 year old cave room. There are many steps, but not a problem for us. It was even part of the charm to discover what felt like hidden spaces for our family. In summary, the location was amazing and the night time and day time views unparalleled. Host was amazing. By far the best place to stay in Matera to get an authentic stay and to feel like you are part of history and embedded in the community. Grazie Tudor!

Graziella's home was beautiful and clean and it had everything i needed and more. Graziella was so kind and welcoming and she made sure i had everything i needed and even had breakfast items for me. She is truly a wonderful host. It was a perfect place to get away from the chaos of the bigger busier cities and relax in San Lucido beautiful quaint seaside town. There is a bus that comes through town a few times a day and the local tobacco shop sells train and bus tickets, but it only has one train. The adjacent towns are also very quaint and beautiful. There are a couple grocery stores and several shops in town that are very reasonably priced. People are warm and friendly and very helpful. The little town below can get lively and loud but the town shuts down very early. A car to see the beautiful surrounding area is definitely recommended. Paola has a few options but you will have to book in advance.
