Family-friendly holiday rentals in Spittal an der Drau

We had a wonderful week. The cottage run by Maikel and Britt is beautiful and very well located in a medium mountain setting (1350 m) located at the foot of the Hochkönig in a bucolic and relaxing setting. Maikel and Britt are very welcoming and friendly, always present for good advice. The cottage is very clean, spacious, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. The sauna is very useful after a good walk. The village of Mühlbarch am Hochkönig is located downstairs 5 km away in a small valley in the center of many hikes and also a family ski resort. We would recommend it.

We absolutely enjoyed the apartment with our two children (2 and 5). It is absolutely clean, child-friendly, and has really everything you could need. Especially the connection to the Falkensteiner Cristallo was great for us - we could use the pools and children's pools and the children's program. Just perfect for families We definitely want to come back.

We feel lucky to have stayed at this house—the views really are just as stunning as they are in the pictures. Boža and Dušan were very welcoming and we had everything we needed to really settle in for a few nights—the kitchen, for example, was very well furnished with all sorts of practical implements for real cooking (i.e. not just a few dull knives and a single ladle rattling around in otherwise empty drawers). We really appreciated the house's easy access to Italy, Austria, and of course the rest of northwestern Slovenia—it offers a great combination of dramatic mountain views and easy road access (so no daredevil driving up and down steep and rocky rural roads every time you want to get some groceries). I'm sure the house is lovely in all seasons, but it was especially enjoyable to take a dip in the jacuzzi with an overnight frost settling in and then cozy up by the fireplace inside.

We had a great stay at the house - it was our first trip to Slovenia and staying in such a beautiful location made it even better. The hot tub was amazing but be warned it does take a good few hours to heat up and when we were there, there was only logs to get the fire going, we had to buy news paper and firestarters, so just bear in mind that a trip to Bovec may be necessary. Only other thing to mention was when we checked out we struggled to find the waste bin the host mentioned that was up the hill - the nearest other bin place didn’t do general waste (recycling etc only) so we had to drive a little bit with the black bag in the car. Otherwise though it was amazing and would definitely recommend.

We had the most amazing stay in this chalet. It was very clean and well equipped for a very relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The scenery is beautiful and I would 100% recommend staying here to anyone. The family are very friendly and we loved the sheep surrounding the property fence, they were so fun to watch. The accommodation is perfect! There are all kinds of amenities, enough space and everything is clean. The sauna and jacuzzi are an absolute highlight and very easy to use. The accommodation is super cozy. I can recommend it to everyone.

There were six of us in the beautiful wooden vacation home. It is quietly located about 400 meters above the village of Haus im Ennstal. To the back is the house located on meadow and forest edge. Hiking trails pass by a few hundred yards away. An enclosure with dam deer is adjacent. The nearest supermarket Billa is about 7 minutes drive away in the house. The house are beautifully cozily furnished. There is a fireplace, a sauna and a hotpot (to heat yourself). All this gave us a lot of joy. The property is ideal for all those who seek tranquility and enjoy being in nature. The communication with Mirko was very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. We'll be back. Thank you for everything.

Could not think of a more perfect place to enjoy the beauty of Bled. Incredibly easy check in, super responsive and helpful host, and the place was very quiet and cozy. If I ever find myself back in Bled, this will be at the top of my list!

Absolutely beautiful, quiet place. Very quick and thorough communication and the hut had everything we needed. The sauna is wonderful. We (and our dog) loved our week here and would love to stay here again in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights at Eva's quaint Riverside Airbnb. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Careful thought with attention to detail is how I would describe Eva's lovely home. The location was perfect, walkable to everything you might need. Eva was responsive to any queries we had. If we ever do return to Ljubljana we would love to book Eva's accomodation again. Wonderful host and a beautiful place – it had everything we could have wished for. The lake was especially stunning; we loved spending time swimming and taking boat trips. Highly recommended!

Roman and Milena were very gracious and frendly hosts. They had special treats when we arrived and were very informative about the local hikes and restaurants. The location is just magical. So peaceful and beautiful! The cottage is well equipped and spotless! There are even slippers available for guest use! Very thoughtful. We hope to come back sometime for a longer stay. Our family of five had a wonderful stay here. Robert's communication before arrival was quick and he was there to show us around the apartment at check-in. The apartment itself was neat and very clean. My kids enjoyed the fact that the whole family could sleep together in one room. I enjoyed the fact that even though this is a smaller sized apartment, everyone had an actual bed! Robert was very kind and gave helpful tips. He even called a friend in the know when we asked about the closure over the mountain pass to give us the most accurate information. Great two night stay for our family here. Thanks, Robert!

Beautifully decorated apartment, Elizabeth took care of every detail, has her own style. Equipped with everything you need for a holiday. It takes place in a closed garage, the host informs that it is not adapted to parking a long car, but I managed to park a car with a length of 4.63 m :). The host is very communicative and helpful. I highly recommend it.

Peter and his family are very nice and warm, I immediately felt comfortable. The cabin is as described, small, quaint, cozy, in the middle of nature and with fantastic views. I really enjoyed my stay here and can fully recommend the cabin as well as hosts.

The cabin was amazing, Mita is a great host and checks you in and shows you to the cabin which was helpfull as we arrived in the evening it was dark and would have been more difficult if he didn't guided us. The rooms within the cabin were extreamly comfortable and both bedrooms had a balcony which gave outstanding views of the mountains around. This is the perfect location if you enjoy hiking or walking as there are many trails and mountains that's can be hiked. It is an extremely peaceful area, I would highly recommend.

Amazing couple of days stay in Most Na Soci. Property was sizeable and had all the utilities we needed. Host was amazing and was kind enough to give us a lift too and from the train station when we arrived and departed. Couldn’t recommend more!

The apartment fully corresponds to the photos in the listing, it is located on the 3rd floor and grants a superb view of the lake from a side balcony, which can be reached in 2 minutes from the apartment. The arrival was hassle-free and the reception staff very accommodating. The pool and the sun loungers on the jetty can also be used. Overall a great stay, the contact with Eberhard was uncomplicated, he responds immediately to questions

Absolutely amazing mountain hut in stunning scenery. Teresa and Stefan have put in loads of work so that you can get back to basics, slow down and live it up in natural luxury! Thoroughly recommend Danke schon!

Meri and her husband gave us a warm welcome. Great location, clean accomodation and good communication. We would absolutely recommend staying here.

We felt very comfortable, the self-catering in the spacious kitchen-living area was quite possible, with the gastronomic coffee machine (1 coffee €0.5) we made friends. In sunny weather, the dining tables outdoors are very nice (beautiful views, good air, tranquility ...) The children accounts are throughout the yard area and experience direct contact with pets. The sauna at no additional cost was much appreciated after longer hikes to relax. I spent a relaxing time at the Grimmingblick hut with my children, grandchildren and friends.

Super weekend in the name of relaxation, the host was not very kind, but I was super well again thanks to Francesco and his wife who were super kind and helpful, I will definitely come back as soon as I can 😌🫶🏽

Had a wonderful stay at Ulrike's, where we stayed for a few days for my husband's Iron Man nearby. We were very warmly received, Ulrike and her husband are extremely sweet people and you can ask them anything. The photos match very well with what you can expect. Everything you needed was there and everything was very clean on arrival. It was also a wonderfully fresh accommodation, which came in handy during the hot days. Nice terrace to sit and eat outside. Ulrike and her husband are really so sweet and kind. Always a very warm and pleasant contact when you meet them. The area is beautiful and there is a lot to see nearby: located near the Wörtersee, Maria Wörth (beautiful church on the lake), Pyramidenkogel (viewing tower with a view over the entire Wörtersee), near Klagenfurt, Velden, supermarket,... We enjoyed our stay enormously! Thank you! :)

Katrin's place is great for a getaway. She made us feel right at home quickly and provided lots of recommendations in the area. We will have to visit again as there were so many nice things to do. The house was cosy and the outdoor space was great to relax.
