Adventure, hiking and outdoor activities. Cottage

ManonRating, 5 stars5 months ago
A great choice for families with teenagers - there were enough beds for my kids to each bring a friend and they all made good use of the pool and games room. Their only complaint was about the rather steep walk back to the cottage, which may challenge some. The bedrooms were spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful forest views, and the kitchen well-appointed - if there was any utensil I couldn't find or if a condiment ran out Nicole arranged for it to be delivered immediately. We enjoyed walks around the property, mountain biking, beach days and golf in Lorne and visited Sheoak Falls. A relaxing and fun long weekend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hayden's! Well equipped, fantastically located and with a stunning view from the balcony out to the sea, we would absolutely recommend his place. Check in and communication was easy.

Family friendly cottage in the Otways! Mannagum

NatalieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Wow! This place is amazing. We were a family group of 10. Two families of four and two grandparents. As a group we ranged from highly active to reduced mobility (walker) and it was an ideal environment for us all to explore and reconnect, over and over. There was something for everyone. The swimming pool was brilliant and it was a real treat to be swimming and looking at sheep and horses grazing in the paddock, with rolling hills and bush beyond. The kitchen was great and the dining table fit us all, so we enjoyed dinner around the table together each night after bushwalking the various tracks. We thought three nights would be enough to do everything as the property looked to be reasonably remote, but we were wrong. There is so much to explore in the local towns and within the property. We loved it so much that we are already booking again for next year! Highly recommend if you want space to relax, bushwalk, and reconnect with loved ones. I could say more but I've run out of words!

Farm Stay Rose Cottage (Sleeps 6)

ValerieRating, 5 stars19 months ago
We visited freshwater creek in Nov. My little tribe of 2 adults and 2 children from the urban city. We anticipated vast spaces, farm animals and fresh air but what the farm gave us was an experience we would not soon forget. We stayed at the Rose cottage. It was very clean. Immaculately clean. There was no signs of age and I think a lot of work went into maintaining the cottage in its good state. We loved walking the goats, feeding the sheep, cows, pigs and horses in their various paddocks, walking in the orchard sampling fruits, walking alongside the ducks and picking fresh eggs. We played in the playground and there was also a sandpit. Our first farm experience was most surreal and therapeutic. Needless to say we are planning to be back again. Thank you Marissa, Farmer Phil and your team for your work on the farm.

This was an amazing stay with a small group of family and our dogs. The property was absolutely beautiful with the rolling hills in the distance and the large green areas for the dogs to explore. The house was cute and cozy and catered for all our needs. Would stay again.

Torquay cosy 2BR Unit near beach, pets welcome

MiriamRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Thank you for having us, Angel! Such a great location and so nice to have a little fenced in back garden for the dog. There is nothing flash about this little beach shack, but it feels like a cosy visit to your quirky grandparents beach house they built in the 70s. But the beds are comfy, the shower is clean and great water pressure, and a fully stocked kitchen. Super easy to walk to shops and the beach, a great base to explore Torquay. Excellent communication, Angel answered all our questions and we felt very welcome.

Mimosa Heritage Cottage can sleep 7 - 2.5 bedrooms

RobynRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Sherry’s communication was great and she quickly responded to my questions. The house was bright and cosy with some lovely homely touches and the outside seating area under the back verandah was a great place to sit and read a book or have a coffee from her very funky coffee machine. The house was very clean and the kitchen was really well equipped. Would highly recommend this lovely little cottage!

Cosy 3 bedroom cottage with indoor fireplace

SandraRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Wayne is a great host. The property is within the Barrabool Maze Estate. We had access to the entire estate whilst there and our son had a fantastic time doing the maze a few times. There's also a variety of birds and a playground and lots of other things to see. A great cafe with great service and yummy food. The house itself is filled with beautiful art, knick knacks and very spacious. Clean rooms, has everything you need for a weekend stay and felt very private. Not too far from Geelong or surrounding towns. Recommend if you're ever wanting to stay somewhere not too far from a city but wanting quiet & relaxing surroundings.

Tranquil bush cottage Otways - Aquila

Kat And DaveRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We had a lovely stay celebrating our wedding anniversary. Pool was lovely and we loved the gym and the sauna ($35 per session) set in nature watching the birds in the trees was a fantastic way to start the day. Wild life in the area was amazing, wallabies, echidna, kookaburra to name a few. The cottage was great, a second air con would be helpful as the first days were very hot and the one aircon was located in just one bedroom. Linen is fresh, decor lovely and the beds were nice and large (I do prefer a softer mattress but that is just personal preference). The second toilet was great for a family. Gentle Annie on Friday night is great and was a great way to celebrate. I liked the touches such as shampoo, conditioner, soaps, air freshener were beautiful. Lovely T2, bottle of bubbles and delicious jam were a pleasant surprise. We had a great stay and will be back! Thank you

Kero Cottage, Allenvale

MegRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A beautiful cosy cottage in a gorgeous natural location. The accommodation was so clean, comfortable and a lovely place to spend time. Excellent walking trails right outside the door (the walk into Lorne via the St George trail was particularly great). The cottage was located in a peaceful and picturesque area filled with amazing wildlife that felt secluded yet was only a short drive into Lorne for lovely beach walks and the shops. I would absolutely stay here again.

Phar Lap Tree Cottage-Winter Getaway inc breakfast

Sarah & StuartRating, 5 stars14 months ago
We spent 6 nights at Phar Lap Tree Cottage and found it to be a relaxing, private , quiet and cosy place to stay. Kevin is a very thoughtful and caring host and welcomed us with chocolate Easter bunnies and a nice bottle of wine. There were also generous breakfast provisions. The queen size bed is probably the most comfortable one we've experienced on our airbnb stays. Looking out over the lovely garden, listening to the birds and watching the sunsets from the verandah was a special highlight. The cottage is in a great position for easy driving access to the Bellarine Peninsula and Great Ocean Road. We plan to stay at Phar Lap Tree Cottage again.

Cooks Cottage

CameronRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Wam bam thank you Pam! We had an absolutely gorgeous stay over the weekend at Cooks Cottage. Pam went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The property was quiet which made a perfect getaway from the city. Pam also gave us some great recommendations for things to see and do around the area. The location was also easy to get to and from Mt Duneed estate for a concert. Would 100% recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet weekender. Thanks Pam!!
